    I have a php script that accepts one single query: ie., name=micheal. For now I query it over the net like so: www.mydomain.net/mysript.php?name=micheal. But I do want to query it like this: www.mydomain.net/micheal. Unfortunately, I do not know how to do that. Would you please help me out?

  • SSL Certificated Validity

    Hi, I'm using an SSL certificate from geotrust. I just ordered and installed it this weekend. However when I try to access my website using https, firefox (and the other browsers as well) the browser warns that the certificate expired a few days ago. I guess there could be two reasons: I made a mistake during the installation of the certificate Geotrust did not sign the certificate properly. First I want to rule out the second reason considering my browser tells me the certificate expired a few days ago. This does not make sense at all. Is there a way to extract the expiration date from the certificate? Thanks!

  • modrewrite to another server if file/image is not found

    Hi I am working on a locally served copy of a remote site and I don't want to have to download all the images rtelated to the site so I thought i could come up with a mod_rewrite rule for to grab images from the remote server if the are not found this is the code that i have <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [NC] RewriteRule ^/(.*\.(png|gif|jpg|jpeg)) https://www.exmple.com/$1 [NC,P,L] </IfModule> The page is still giving me 404's for images that are on the remote server, so this rule is not working. I do know that the htaccess is being processed because rules later in the IfModule mod_rewrite.c block are being used. (i simplified my code sample but this is the first rule in the IfModule mod_rewrite.c block)

  • Append a parameter to a querystring with mod_rewrite

    Hello, I would like to use mod_rewrite to append a parameter to the end of a querystring. I understand that I can do this using the [QSA] flag. However, I would like the parameter appended ONLY if it does not already exist in the querystring. So, if the querystring was: http://www.mysite.com/script.php?colour=red&size=large I would like the above URL to be re-directed to http://www.mysite.com/script.php?colour=red&size=large&weight=heavy Where weight=heavy is appended to the end of the querystring only if this specific parameter was not there in the first place! If the specific parameter is already in the URL then no redirect is required. Can anybody please suggest code to put in my .htacess file that can do this? Thanks.

    Hello I have a Rewrite rule I am trying to implement on my local host but I cannot get it to do the action no matter how I setup the regex the files are in this naming scheme /docroot/css/stylesheet.min.css and I have them printed in the code like /docroot/css/stylesheet.min.123438348.css (the number is example it comes from a get modified function). Note docroot is an example directory how can I have the server ignore the numbers and redirect to the stylesheet.min.css I need to do this for every css and js files (/js and /css) as well as one specific spritemap image my current attempt RewriteRule ^/(docroot)/(js|css)/(.+)\.(min)\.(.+)\.(js|css)$ /$1/$2/$3.$4.$6 RewriteRule ^(/docroot/images/spritemap)\.([0-9]+)\.(png)$ $1.$3 I have this wrapped in a I am on linux..should this be mod_rewrite.so?"

    I am unable to login into magento admin. In magento, (in newest release..) it needs proper domain to login ...but how it is possible in a local machine... I found some solution ...in magento forum here... http://www.magentocommerce.com/boards/viewthread/4337/P15/ They asked to change localhost to h t t p ://127.0.0.1 but when tried it redirects to localhost...?! Kindly suggest.

    Hi, I have the following file structure: C:/wamp/myproject/admin/webroot/images I have an index.php file lying inside the admin folder which calls a header.inc.php file lying in the same folder. header.inc.php has the following code- <td align="left" valign="top" class="header-bg"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"> index.php calls a css file (css.css) through the following code: <link href="<?php echo (WS_DIR_CSS); ?>/css.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> The css lies in the following location: C:/wamp/myproject/admin/webroot/css The css files has a class which has the following code: .header-bg { background:url(../images/header_bg.jpg) left top repeat-x; height:77px; } The image header_bg.jpg is not being displayed in the browser. Help anyone?

    I have downloads for static files like product.exe. I want to limit access to these files with a .htaccess file so that only certain users can download it. I think this can be handled with mod_rewrite and I found this snippet online that blocks bad sites using the referrer. RewriteEngine on # Options +FollowSymlinks RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} http://example.com/downloads/confirm/3811 [NC,OR] RewriteRule .* - [F] Source: http://www.javascriptkit.com/howto/htaccess14.shtml Instead of blocking based on referrer, I want to allow based on referrer. That way, the referrer can be a URL that cannot be accessed without first logging in. I am thinking about going this route and using the http referrer to give permission to the file. I know it may not be the best way to do it, and I guess the referrer can be spoofed, but it does not have to be THAT secure. I am also open to other ideas you may have to for limitting access.     Here is the situation. I have a java project "LicenseGenerator" in eclipse that depends on commons-codec. I have therefore added the commons-codec jar file to the build path. I have Junit tests and everything is working fine. I have made a different project in the same workspace - which happens to be an Android project - that needs to use my LicenseGenerator classes. I added LicenseGenerator to the "projects" tab in the build path - the classes were recognized and I was able to use them. Everything compiled and ran. However, when the part of the LicenseGenerator that used the commons-codec was called from my Android project I got the following error. Could not find method org.apache.commons.codec.binary.Base64.encodeBase64URLSafeString, referenced from method This basically tells me that the commons-codec was not packaged which the Android project, so I added the commons-codec to the android project as well but the same error appears. how do I fix this?

    I have mod_rewrite working on most of my site. Right now I have a search that normally would point to search.php?keyword=KEYWORD And I'm trying to rewrite that to search/?keyword=KEYWORD Just to make it a little bit cleaner. So here's my mod_rewrite. (There are other rules I'm just posting the one that isn't working.) RewriteRule ^search/?keyword=([^/\.]+)/?$ search.php?search=$1 When I type a search in the address bar way I want it to be, I get a page telling me its a "broken link" (I'm guessing that that's Chrome's equivalent of a 404 error). So what am I doing wrong? I think that the problem is the '=' or the '?' sign in the rule (the first part) because when I take the ?keyword= part out, it works. Does that make sense?

    well, ofcourse its not working, im still a n00b :) this is the code that i have : Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine on RewriteRule (.*)\.css - [S=7] RewriteRule (.*)\.jpg - [S=6] RewriteRule ^gallery gallery.html [L] RewriteRule (.*)/(.*)/ index.html?page=$2 [L] RewriteRule (.*)/(.*) index.html?page=$2 [L] RewriteRule (.*)/ index.html?page=$1 [L] RewriteRule (.*) index.html?page=$1 [L,QSA] Now, this works fine, if i try localhost/abc but it wont work if i try localhost/abc/ also, when i try localhost/abc/def (or localhost/abc/def/ for that matter) the css file isnt being included properly. i get an error saying /abc/def/style.css does not exist. :( however, the code doesnt work if i remove the QSA flag from the last rule. this is the code that ive come up with after a lot of googling and reading SO. if anyone can help out i'll be extremely grateful. thanks!

My question is about handling my incoming mail server, no matter if you use PHP, Perl, or Python. I do not care, what if I want is the result which should be as close to: I send an email to [email protected], this post will add a case such as photos, then when the mail reaches the server, the server takes to process mail and copy the attached files, in this case the photos to a folder / home / public_html / photos and then, if possible notify you if it was successful or not.
