• URL Rewrite problem. (Many directory)

  Hello! I'd like to make a htaccess file, which can make a good structure for my websites. My .htaccess is now: RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !\.(jpg|jpeg|gif|png|css|js|pl|txt)$ RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/admin/* RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [QSA] (based on Sombat's comment) And I want to make this, with it: for every elements but (jpg|jpeg|gif|png|css|js|pl|txt) if domain.xx/admin redirect to the domain.xx/admin directory and don't make a rewrite at all i mean: let me use domain.xx/admin/index.php?asd=1&asdd=2 else rewrite everything as rule one, to index.php.   All, I have the following Zend application structure: helloworld - application - configs - controllers - models - layouts - include - library - public - design -- css -- site.css -- js -- global.js -- images -- siteheader.gif -- sitefooter.gif - .htaccess - index.php My .htaccess file in public folder looks like this: Options -MultiViews RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -s [OR] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -l [OR] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d RewriteRule ^.*$ - [NC,L] RewriteRule ^.*$ index.php [NC,L] My document root points to the "public" folder. Currently, if the user visits a directory level URL, (Ex: http://localhost/design or localhost/css) , my .htaccess file above make sure to show him the "Access Forbidden" page. But if he visits the file level URL, (Ex: http://localhost/design/css/site.css), it shows him the CSS file or the js file or PHP file.. How can I make sure to lock file level access for the above file types, if accessed directly from the URL? Since my application is JS intensive, I want to protect it from users looking at it. Thanks

  I am trying to catch any https traffic to the front of my site so: https://www.domain.com is redirected to: http://www.domain.com However other subdomains need to be redirected elsewhere. For the most part this is all working, apart from the https - http redirection. Here's my .htaccess file at the moment: RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTPS} on RewriteRule (.*) http://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^domain\.com [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.domain.com/$1 [L,R=301] RewriteCond "%{HTTP_HOST}" !^www.* [NC] RewriteCond "%{HTTP_HOST}" ^([^\.]+).*$ RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://secure.domain.com/a/login/%1 [L,R=301] It would seem that this bit: RewriteCond %{HTTPS} on RewriteRule (.*) http://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} isn't working as I would imagine. In fact it doesn't seem to redirect at all. In another subdirectory I have the opposite in effect which works fine: RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off RewriteRule (.*) https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} so my thinking is the opposite should have done the job, but seemingly not. Any thoughts anyone?

  Hi I have enabled mod_rewrite in my Xampp apache. When I run my php info page, I saw mod_rewrite under Loaded Modules. So I think it's enabled. Then I create a folder clean-url under htdocs. I've tried removing the +followSymlinks line, even the rewrite engine line. I haven't tried removing the conditions cause I don't think I should have to, I'm probably wrong.

However, javascript files are not being rendered properly in the browser; I'm getting a 404 Not Found when I try to load the file in the browser. • Make Codeigniter ignore directory

  I have Codeigniter installed and working for my main site. But I am now trying to add an add-on domain to the same hosting account, so I can have two sites running on the same hosting. Add-on domains make a new folder in the main public_html folder to store the web files. How can I get Codeigniter to ignore this directory? The site doesn't load properly when I try and view it. I have an SSL on the main site too and redirection for www URLS. • htaccess not working as it should

  well, ofcourse its not working, im still a n00b :) this is the code that i have : Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine on RewriteRule (.*)\.css - [S=7] RewriteRule (.*)\.jpg - [S=6] RewriteRule ^gallery gallery.html [L] RewriteRule (.*)/(.*)/ index.html?page=$2 [L] RewriteRule (.*)/(.*) index.html?page=$2 [L] RewriteRule (.*)/ index.html?page=$1 [L] RewriteRule (.*) index.html?page=$1 [L,QSA] Now, this works fine, if i try localhost/abc but it wont work if i try localhost/abc/ also, when i try localhost/abc/def (or localhost/abc/def/ for that matter) the css file isnt being included properly. i get an error saying /abc/def/style.css does not exist. :( however, the code doesnt work if i remove the QSA flag from the last rule. this is the code that ive come up with after a lot of googling and reading SO. if anyone can help out i'll be extremely grateful. thanks!

  Hello to all, I'm working on a site where all the pages are actually index.php + a 'name' parameter that is analyzed and loads the appropriate template and content. the homepage url is: http://www.some_site.com/?page=homepage 1. i was asked to "change" the homepage url to: http://www.some_site.com can i use url rewite and htaccess for that and if so, what should i write there? working on my local machine, i tried this code (mode rewrite is enabled): <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine On RewriteRule /index.php /index.php?page=homepage </IfModule> i would still need the 'name' parameter to be available to the php code of course, so i can load the template and css files. 2. it would be nice for other pages (not homepage) to be converted from (example) http://www.some_site.com/?page=products to: http://www.some_site.com/products this is less crucial. thanx in advance and have a nice day :-)

  I have a slight problem with .htaccess redirect. I have a dynamic site with 2 levels of variables - content="type -(alpha)" and ID="number" but this is very not seo friendly what I really would like to create is a rewrite rule that generates a "friendly" url for serach engines & users alike. Very much like WordPress does. Each ID is already unique (obviously) and on creation is creating a unique "permalink" field so for example ID=1 has a "permalink field" as "2009/10/27/page title" and ID=100 would be "2010/10/27 page title". I would like folder/wall.php?content=type&ID=number to redirect to folder/permalink.php/html/htm (don't mind a non dynamic extension) Any clues? - this is not right (I know) but it also "breaks" my css file RewriteEngine On RewriteRule wall/content/(.*)/ID/(.*)/ wall.php?content=$1&ID=$2 RewriteRule wall/content/(.*)/ID/(.*) wall.php?content=$1&ID=$2

• How to check if file exists in Apache

  I've set this up successfully in IIS in the past, but i'm not sure how to do it in Apache. I want to check to see if a file exists, whether it be: /path/to/file.php /path/to/file.cfm /path/to/file.html /path/to/ If the file does not exist, I want to redirect to /404/, where I have a file that does all 404 related handling. Lastly, when doing this in IIS, it gave me a CGI.QUERY_STRING of something like: 404;http://example.com/prettyurl Can apache do the same? This is what i've tried to so far, to no success.
