• Rewrite URL with .htaccess

  Hi guys, I've this url: http://www.test.com/page.php?k=m1ns and I want this one: http://www.test.com/r/m1ns My .htaccess: Options +FollowSymlinks RewriteEngine on RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^k/([^/\.]+)/?$ page.php?k=$1 [L] # force www. in all requests RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^test\.com [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.test.com/$1 [L,R=301] # enable hiding php extension RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}\.php -f RewriteRule ^(.*)$ $1.php But it doesn't work. Only the non-www - www and hiding php rules works. If I put http://www.test.com/page.php?k=m1ns does not rewrite. Anyone knows why? Thanks.

• Rewriting subdomain to subfolder with htaccess

  I'm attempting to use .htaccess in the root folder of an Ubuntu/Apache2 server in order to mask a subdomain to subfolder and I keep getting a 500 Internal Error. I know that I'm doing something stupidly wrong and it is some silly error causing the problem. I've checked all of the similar threads on SO and online and whenever I try their advice the 500 continues. Here's my code. RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^admin\.mydomain\.com.*$ RewriteRule (.*) intranet/$1 [L] What I want to occur is that if a user visits admin.mydomain.com they will get the contents of the folder admin.mydomain.com/intranet/ but their URL bar will still be admin.mydomain.com. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? In addition, some of the threads online talked about possible problems with this system. Is this the best way of doing this masking, should I be using a vhost setup?

  I'm new to CodeIgniter and routing. I have a Login controller whose index() loads up a view to enter a username/password. In the view, the form has action="login/authenticate". Login-authenticate() determines if the login is valid or not. If it's valid, redirect('lobby'), if not redirect('login') routes.php: $route['default_controller'] = "login" config.php: $config['base_url'] = "http://localhost/dts/"; $config['index_page'] = "index.php"; The problem is that when i go to http://localhost/dts/ , click login, I am correctly (?) redirected to http://localhost/dts/login/authenticate but the browser says Object not found!. But when I go to http://localhost/dts/index.php/ (with trailing slash), it works correctly (I get redirected to http://localhost/dts/index.php/login/authenticate, and am logged in) I tried removing "index.php" by using a .htaccess: RewriteEngine on RewriteCond $1 !^(index\.php|images|robots\.txt) RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.php/$1 [L] and it would no longer open even the http://localhost/dts/ I'm confused.. what's going on?

  I'm running OSX (10.6) with Apache with .htaccess enabled. In the htaccess file I have the code: Options +FollowSymlinks RewriteEngine on RewriteRule ^page/([A-Z0-9._%+-]+) index.php?page=$1 [NC] This runs perfectly on my external server and redirects nicely to index.php?page=whatever However when testing locally from localhost/~james/In%20Progress/Vila%20Maninga/page/whatever I get redirected to localhost/~james/Users/James/Sites/In%20Progress/Vila%20Maninga/index.php?page=whatever. For some reason 'Users/James/Sites/' is being added. Does anyone why this is happening and how to prevent it? Many thanks, James

  I posted this on serverfault as well, but I probably asked in the wrong group. I am using the Hiawatha web server and running drupal on a FastCGI PHP server. The drupal site is using imagecache and it requires either private files or clean urls. The issue I am having with clean urls is that requests to files are being rewritten into index.php as well. My current config is: UrlToolkit { ToolkitID = drupal RequestURI exists Return Match (/files/*) Rewrite $1 Match ^/(.*) Rewrite /index.php?q=$1 } The above does not work.   I'm hosting several domains on one account, and I currently have a RewriteRule set to redirect the root url (www.root.com) to a subdirectory (/public_html/root/). However, I have few directories in the root (/public_html/xyz/) that I would like to access from the root url (www.root.com/xyz). Is this possible to write a redirect for this, or do I have to place these folder in the /public_html/root/ directory? • Codeigniter redirect repeats controller name in URL

  This is my controller: class Timesheet extends Controller { ... function index() { //loads view with a form that submits to "timesheet/change_date" } function summary() { //loads view with a form that submits to "timesheet/change_week" } function change_date() { ... redirect('timesheet'); } function change_week() { ... redirect('timesheet/summary'); } ... } The first form is located at http://localhost/dts/index.php/timesheet and when I submit the change_date form, it correctly goes thru the change_date() function and re-loads http://localhost/dts/index.php/timesheet correctly. However, the second form is located at http://localhost/dts/index.php/timesheet/summary, and when I submit the change-week form, it goes thru the change_week() function but goes to http://localhost/dts/index.php/timesheet/timesheet/change_week. Notice the word timesheet is repeated. When I submit the form again, another timesheet is added. What's wrong and how do I improve my code?
