    I'm creating a "flagged" func that flags users, postings, and comments. I am currently using three tables: "flagged_users" "flagged_postings" and "flagged_comments". And in each table, there's: flagged_id, user_id/posting_id/comment_id, reason. Is there a way to combine into just one table? or is 3 tables the best?

Is there something like this but return documentid values where the termid values are 1 and 2 and 3? Like an IN but with AND.

    I have two tables: users: user_id, user_zip settings: user_id, pref_ex_loc I need to find the single most popular 'pref_ex_loc' from the settings table based on a particular user_zip, which will be specified as the variable $userzip.   • What is causing a Hibernate SQL query exception?

    Hi all and sorry in advance for this post but I've spent way too much time going around in circles so I'm hoping someone could shed a light on it here for me. I updated a webapp on Tomcat and I'm getting the following error which didn't exist on the previous version. Though I am quite confident that the part of code I modifed isn't to blame as I have tested the app on two different dev servers. The production server is configured thus: CentOS 5.4 virtual server with tomcat 5.5.23 running mysql 5.0.77. The two dev servers are: Windows XP SP2 running tomcat 5.5.23 with mysql 5.1.49 Mac OSX 10.6.6 Running tomcat 6 with mysql 5.1.51 The application was developed using struts (1.1 as far as I can gather) with hibernate 3 as the peristence layer. It only fails on the production server for some reason I can't fathom. I'd like to draw your attention to the java.sql.SQLException near the bottom. After some long searching I found this but because it was posted years ago (about 1 year before development started on this app I'm sure Hibernate has evolved from that version. as I can't find a way of implementing his solution. I use Eclipse Helios as an IDE.     This is my first time running a postfixadmin, so in my setup.php, I'm getting this error DEBUG INFORMATION: Invalid query: Unknown column 'create_date' in 'mailbox' I'm running it with MySQL. So if i'm right, my guess is that i need to create a column? under mailbox table on the postfix database? but how or whats the right syntax into creating a timedate column?     mysqld_multi stop 1 followed by (repeatedly, a few moments later) mysqld_multi report 1 returns: Reporting MySQL servers MySQL server from group: mysqld1 is running The instances work fine and when I reboot, I have to start the instances to get them to come back up (a separate issue I need to resolve), but the stop command doesn't seem to do anything. It truly doesn't stop the instance because in the instance log file I see this: 120619 11:12:39 mysqld_safe A mysqld process already exists after trying to run start after.

    I am attempting to setup HAproxy in conjunction with Percona XtraDB Cluster on a series of 3 EC2 instances. I have found a few tutorials online dealing with this specific issue, but I am a bit stuck. Both the Percona servers and the HAproxy servers are running ubuntu 12.04. I set in PHP : mbstring.language=UTF-8 mbstring.internal_encoding=UTF-8 mbstring.http_input=UTF-8 mbstring.http_output=UTF-8 mbstring.detect_order=auto But each time there is a $ in the password (i have one for the root of mysql + other script) the password won't work. For example, I just removed the $ in the password for a script, and it worked. When i connect @root on mysql via phpmyadmin : don't work When i connect @root via PHP : works What can i do for this problem please ?

    One of our customers had a break in on an old centos 4.4 machine, so I booted a debian live cd and copied the whole /var/lib/mysql. I then, on a new debian, copied the desired database and ibdata+iblogfiles, and removed the "autoextend" bits from my.cnf - restarted mysql. But I get 'Incorrect information in file'. Paths are the same as the old centos server, and permissions and ownership is correct. What am I missing?

    A month or so ago I created my first LAMP stack and implemented a simple web site that exercised each letter in that acronym. However my development setup was much less than ideal. I don't really have a local test server, but instead I was writing all of my CGI scripts in vim while ssh'ed into the remote machine as root. Now I intend to start more serious development. Question: What is a good setup so that development goes as easily as possible? I would like to understand what is available to me along the lines of an IDE, subversion (or alternatives), uploading and downloading content, and just best practices. I'm pretty new at all of this.
