• Deleting YouTube videos using Zend/PHP

  Hello, I'm using Zend and PHP to upload and delete videos from my home page. The uploading part is working fine but to download is more complicated. $videoEntryToDelete = $yt->getVideoEntry($videoId); $yt->delete($videoEntryToDelete); I use this code to delete a video and the first row do work. The video object is created and I can get all data from it. But when I try to delete it I get this error message: "You must specify an URI to which to post" Do anyone know how to solve this problem?   I have a user system set up in a 'users' table, and I have groups set up in a 'groups' table. Essentially, I want users to be able to join any and all the groups that they want, in the same was as one would on facebook. How would one go about structuring this in a mysql/php database system? Just a quick summary would be helpful! I've looked around, but I can only find info on creating 'groups' where the users just have a sort of 1, 2 or 3 permission rank. Thanks!

  Hey all, I am new to web development and have this project in hand where in I have to build a product catalogue. I don't want any cart functionality or other such features, I just want to display the products,their specifications and images etc. on the website and give my client an admin panel to manage products. Now I looked into various PHP shopping cart scripts but couldn't find a way to remove price info from the display. I am not experienced enough in web development to make a product catalogue from scratch so if you guys could point me out in right direction I would be very grateful. If you could give me link to some shopping cart or cataloguing script or any other way to accomplish the task it would help me out a lot.. Thanks in advance to all those who reply.

• HTML Form Upload PDF with other form contents using PHP

  I have a HTML form with fields such as name, address, notes, etc. I also have a field to upload a PDF. The uploaded PDF get's stored on the file system. How can I accomplish this if possibly the PDF files are larger than 2 MBs? Also, for some reason, the uploading of the PDF (< 2 MBs) works fine in Chrome, but not in IE. In IE, the upload doesn't even begin, but in Chrome, it completes fine.   Hi, Want to create a directory on windows from a PHP script. My script is in www/Test directory of Apache and want to create a folder(fold1) inside www/downloads directory. Inside the script, using, $dirName = "../downloads/fold1"; mkdir("{$dirName}"); If we use the full path of dirName like C:\Apache\www\downloads\fold1, it works fine.   Hi, i met a very strange PHP behaviour, i don't understand why it behaves like this. I'm using the imagesetbrush function in this way: class foo { function setbrush($image) { //$this->_resource contains the main image resource imagesetbrush($this->_resource, $image); } } ... $res=imagecreatefrompng("image.png"); $class->setbrush($res); in this way it works, but if i change the code like this: class foo { function setbrush($image) { $res=imagecreatefrompng($image); imagesetbrush($this->_resource, $res); } } ... $class->setbrush("image.png"); it doesn't work anymore. Do you see some error? It doesn't show me any message it simply doesn't execute the function.

  I'm running a curl request on an eXist database through php. The dataset is very large, and as a result, the database consistently takes a long amount of time to return an XML response.   Hi, which is more efficient (when managing over 100K records): A. Mysql SELECT * FROM user ORDER BY RAND(); of course, after that i would already have all the fields from that record. B. PHP use memcached to have $cache_array hold all the data from "SELECT id_user FROM user ORDER BY id_user" for 1 hour or so... and then: $id = array_rand($cache_array); of course, after that i have to make a MYSQL call with: SELECT * FROM user WHERE id_user = $id; so... which is more efficient? A or B?

  Hi I have the following PHP code doing a very simple select into a table. $statement = $db->prepare("SELECT * FROM account WHERE fbid = :fbid"); $statement->bindParam(":fbid",$uid, PDO::PARAM_STR,45); $out = $statement->execute(); $row = $statement->fetch(); $out is true (success) yet $row is null. If I modify the code as follows: $statement = $db->prepare("SELECT * FROM account WHERE fbid = $uid"); $out = $statement->execute(); $row = $statement->fetch(); $row contains the record I'm expecting. I'm at a loss. I'm using the PDO::prepare(), bindParams() etc to protect against SQL Injection (maybe I'm mistaken on that). Please halp.

  Hi Guys, Basically I'm developing a (very) simple search engine. You can enter a search term and you are taken to the results page - which works fine. However on the results page, I have a button that will take you to the next 10 results: where $term is the $_POST['term'] value. echo "<input type='hidden' name='term' value='" . $term . "'>"; This causes the following problem with the term is for example "aidan's". When the next 10 button is clicked, the term becomes aidan\ and no further results are found. I am not doing anything to $term. I usually use Java, but am required to use PHP for this uni assignment! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  When getting the nodeValue of a DOMNode object that has entities in the nodeValue (i.e. a & gt;) then it converts the entity into it's printable character (i.e. ) Does anyone know of a way to get it to keep it as an entity, it really messes up string comparisons when it converts to something unexpected. • UTF-8 BOM in php response to mootools xmlhttprequest

  Hi, I'm writing my first little AJAX-enabled Joomla component. I'm using mootools. I got a xmlhttprequest to contact my Joomla component, and the component returns a response - just plain text echoed by php, like echo 'Hello World!'; It's all working fine, except wireshark tells me that the response is prepended with \357\273\277\357\273\277 when it gets read by the javascript on the client side. This shows up as a little square before the response in an alert box that the script shows. I don't explicitly set the encoding on the xmlhttprequest; mootools docs say that it defaults to UTF8. What's the right way to handle this? Should I be setting the encoding on the request? Mime type? Should the javascript get rid of it? I'm not planning to have any characters requiring UTF8 in the response, so using plain old ascii would be ok for me too. Thanks

• help with inline images/mail with cron - php?

  I've got mailings that need to be sended using cron. When I load the script manualy all works fine. With cron i get broken images. to change the src of my img i used: $body = eregi_replace("managersrc_logo","images/managers/acertainlogo.jpg",$body); Because i thaught that it is importent to use absolute paths i also tried: $body = eregi_replace("managersrc_logo","http://www.site.com/images/managers/acertainlogo.jpg",$body); In that case i even do not see the images when i run the cronscript manualy. Nor the automated cron will display me the images. When i check the source of the mail that is received i always see "cid:encryptedstuff" even if i use absolute paths? Why is that? I just want my absolute paths being printed in the src attribute of the img tag. Who changes my absolute path to cid: ? is it php, phpmailer or outlook itself? Any help someone?.... David

  This should be simple but I can't figure it out <?php $testid = 240; $curid = 251; $cal = $curid - $testid; echo $cal; ?> I want to determine the numbers in between two other numbers so for this example it detects there are 11 numbers in between the $testid and $curid, but i dont need it to do that. I need it to literally figure the numbers in between $curid - $testid which in this example would be 241, 242, 243... all the way to 251 then i need to create a loop with those numbers and do a query below with each one $cal = $curid - $testid; mysql_query("SELECT * FROM wall WHERE id='".$cal."'") // and for each number mysql should out put each data field with those numbers.   To allow caching a PHP generated file, I want to make sure, that the 'Pragma: no-cache' header is not set. However, how do I delete a possibly already set header? That is, it could be possible, that somewhere in the code someone wrote header('Pragma: no-cache'); and now I want to make sure, the header is not sent. Is it sufficient to do this: header('Pragma:'); or is there something like delete_header() (which would, apparently, be undocumented or well-hidden)?

Diagram flow: I have programming skills, in fact, i developed some time ago a web server in VB6 who process the querys and when it find the command (http:/serverIP/webform.php?cmd=run&item=any) it do something, but know i really want to develop a solution using the WAMP server. Some people consider the solution of executing a exe when a command is detected a bad solution for security issues, but this specific proyect i have is for the use of only some people (trusted people) who dont have intentions of hacking the server.   I am trying to output a JSON string using PHP and MySQL but the latitude and longitude is outputting as a string with quotes around the values. This causes an issue when I am trying to add the markers to a google map.
