  Hi All, I am using CFNetwork to connect to a https webservice , whose server is a Verisign certified. I get the appropriate response from the server some times. But the rest of the time I am getting two kind of errors. 1."Operation could not be completed. (kCFStreamErrorDomainSSL error -9807.) 2."Operation could not be completed. (kCFStreamErrorDomainSSL error -4.)" I am using SDK 3.0 and tested it in 3.1 also. I don't get a consistent result. Please some one help me to solve the issue. Regards, Krishnan

• Universal iPhone/iPad application debug compilation error for iPhone testing

  I have written an iPhone and iPad universal app which runs fine in the iPad simulator on Xcode, but I would now like to test the iPhone functionality. I seem unable to run the iPhone simulator with this code as it always defaults to the iPad? Instead I tried to run on the device and as it begins to run I get the following error: dyld: Symbol not found: _OBJC_CLASS_$_UISplitViewController Referenced from: /var/mobile/Applications/9770ACFA-0B88-41D4-AF56-77B66B324640/Test.app/Test Expected in: /System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework/UIKit in /var/mobile/Applications/9770ACFA-0B88-41D4-AF56-77B66B324640/Test.app/TEST As the App is built programmatically rather than using XIB's, I've split the 2 device logics using the following lines in the main.m method: if (UI_USER_INTERFACE_IDIOM() == UIUserInterfaceIdiomPad) { retVal = UIApplicationMain(argc, argv, nil, @"AppDelegate_Pad"); } else { retVal = UIApplicationMain(argc, argv, nil, @"AppDelegate_Phone"); } From that point forth they use different AppDelegates and I've checked my headers to ensure the UISplitView is never used nor imported via the Phone logic. How do I avoid this error and is there a better way to split the universal logic paths in this programmatically-created app?

  With methods test1() and test2(), I get a Type Mismatch Error: Cannot convert from null to int, which is correct; but why am I not getting the same in method test3()? How does Java evaluates the conditional expression differently in that case? (obviusly, a NullPointerException will rise in runtime). • calling wcf from asp.net mvc - authorization error

  Greetings, My asp.net mvc application calls WCF service. Everything is ok on my localhost (WinXP, IIS6). When I moved on production server where Win2008 Server and IIS7 are used my application gets authorization error while connecting to WCF service. ASP.NET MVC works ok but when it calls some methods on my WCF Service an error is thrown. The funny thing is that when I calls the same WCF Production service from the same ASP.NET MVC application hosted on my localhost it works ok. Can someone please help me with this. I think it's authorization problem which can be fixed on IIS7. Am I right?

  I have some data that I am trying to plot faceted by its Type with a smooth (Loess, LM, whatever) superimposed. Generation code is below: testFrame <- data.frame(Time=sample(20:60,50,replace=T),Dollars=round(runif(50,0,6)),Type=sample(c("First","Second","Third","Fourth"),50,replace=T,prob=c(.33,.01,.33,.33))) I have no problem either making a faceted plot, or plotting the smooth, but I cannnot do both. The first three lines of code below work fine. The fourth line is where I have trouble: qplot(Time,Dollars,data=testFrame,colour=Type) qplot(Time,Dollars,data=testFrame,colour=Type) + geom_smooth() qplot(Time,Dollars,data=testFrame) + facet_wrap(~Type) qplot(Time,Dollars,data=testFrame) + facet_wrap(~Type) + geom_smooth() It gives the following error: Error in [<-.data.frame(*tmp*, var, value = list(NA = NULL)) : missing values are not allowed in subscripted assignments of data frames What am I missing to overlay a smooth in a faceted plot? I could have sworn I had done this before, possibly even with the same data.

  I have a java junit test that passes when run alone on a development machine. We also have a hudson job which runs all the tests, invoked via ant, on a Mac OS X 10.4 node with Java 1.5. The test was passing in the hudson build until recently but now (with no related code changes) one test fails everytime with the following error: Error Message Forked Java VM exited abnormally.   I'm running Snow Leopard and using PDF2SWF via MacPorts. I tried this out using a simple PDF I made from text and it worked fine so I have a feeling this is a problem with my PDF.   hey all, when i run my flash file (test it) in the output panel i get the following error TypeError: Error #1010: A term is undefined and has no properties. i read some where, that this was caused because one of the variables is set to null. after looking at my code i found out that the following line was causing this output arrSelectedIndex[i] = -1; this is later on used as the selected index in a group of radio buttons. my question is, would having the selected index set to -1 be an issue ? thanks

• App starts in 1.5 emulator but doesn't in 1.6

  My app works on 1.5 emulator and 1.5 device. When i try to start it on 1.6 emulator, it produces strange exceptions (doesn't even start). I don't have any 1.6 device to try this app if it works on a real device. I get some warnings in Eclipse ( warning: Ignoring InnerClasses attribute for an anonymous inner class that doesn't come with an associated EnclosingMethod attribute. This class was probably produced by a broken compiler.) and get cant rid of them (i think they come from some apache jars that i need to make http multipart posts). Is it possible that this jars are cause for my exceptions in 1.6 or is it something else?   I thought I'd found the solution a while ago (see my blog): If you ever get the JavaScript (or should that be JScript) error "Can't execute code from a freed script" - try moving any meta tags in the head so that they're before your script tags. ...but based on one of the most recent blog comments, the fix I suggested may not work for everyone. I thought this would be a good one to open up to the StackOverflow community.... What causes the error "Can't execute code from a freed script" and what are the solutions/workarounds?
