  Which is a good .Net based CMS out there (for creating a corporate website). I have used Kentico CMS for some time, and am moderately happy with it. However, is there anything better out there.   Is there a way to monitor AJAX requests in the Chrome browser? I tried firebug lite, and though it seems to work for some things (javascript errors and such), the XHR tab doesn't seem to do anything. Are there any alternatives?

• Disable anchor link failed with javascript

  Hello Everyone, I have anchor tag <a id="click" href="javascript:void(0);" onclick="disable();" style="">Clickme</a>. When html loads it showing clickme,when i click anchor link,it calls disable() function,In disable function i am trying to hide it using below code: document.getElementById("click").style.display='none'; But page never hides that anchor link,Please let me know if i am doing anything wrong. • SQL Server 2005 Merge Replication: Under what circumstances would the base snapshot expire?

  Obviously changing schema, adding / removing published articles etc expires the snapshot, but is there anything else that would cause the publication to expire? We're seeing a snapshot expiring without any changes to schema or data on the server. If a snapshot is older than the subscription expiration, would that cause it to be expired?

• Is a return statement mandatory for C++ functions that do not return void?

  My Herb Schildt book on C++ says: "... In C++, if a function is declared as returning a value, it must return a value." However, if I write a function with a non-void return type and do not return anything, the compiler issues a warning instead of an error: "Control reaches end of non-void function." I use gcc (MinGW) and have set the -pedantic flag.

• Enumerate printers on a Mac

  So, I'm familiar how to enumerate the printers using the Windows API, there are a ton of examples out there. What I gathered from here is that I can find the printers in the /Library/Printers/ directory. When I searched there, I found more folders which didn't really mean anything to me. To keep it simple, how do I query the mac to get a list of printers (local and networked) "attached" to the system? Or can anyone point me in the right direction?

• restoring with mysqldump, but where is the data?

  Ok, so I'm in need to restore a table and I do: mysqldump --opt database table_name < table_name.sql I hit enter and Done! Well, not really, when I go to see if there is anything on the table it show 0 records. I have look into the table_name.sql and I see two records. What am I doing wrong?

  I often find this strange CDATA tag in XML files: <![CDATA[]]> I have observed that this CDATA tag always comes at the beginning, and then followed by some stuff. But sometimes it is used, sometimes it is not. I assume it is to mark that some "data" will be inserted after that. But what kind of "data"? Isn't anything I write in XML tags some sort of "data"?

  I merged the wrong way between two branches. I then ran the following: git reset --hard HEAD^ I am now back at the previous commit (which is where I want to be). Was that the correct thing to do? The bad commit is still in the repository, is that okay or should I do something else to remove it from the repository? I have not pushed or committed anything else yet.
