• Empty mails received from Plesk-driven server

  From my Plesk managed server I keep receiving emails addressed to the configured administrator (me). Nothing special there. These mails are sent from an empty sender with no body, no subject nor any other relevant headers. I have changed the server administrator's e-mail address to an alternate one which is then the recipient. The mails are sent at irregular intervals. With variations in the timestamp I get an email every 30 minutes. Then there's a break and two and a half hours later I get the same email. I already have turned of crond for more than a day to see if this is the source of the problem. On that server there is no "foreign" software running which would cause that behavior. I have no more guesses as to why this is happening. Any suggestions?

• How to have partial incremental synchronizations based on a GUID?

  I need to synchronize an SQL Server database to Oracle through an Oracle Transparent Gateway. The synchronization is performed in batches, so I need to get the next set of data from the point where I left off. The problem I'm having is that the only field I have in the source, to help me, is a GUID. If it were a number I could just order by it, keep the last one processed and restart the process by getting the records which are my recorded number. This won't work with a GUID. Any ideas?

• Mavericks: Safari does not login in into web services

  Since when I upgraded ML to Mavericks Safari is no longer able to log me into Facebook. When I go to the login page it suggests me the correct credentials, I hit the Login button, the page refreshes but nothing happens, like if the credentials where empty. Firefox works perfectly, I even logged out and back in to make sure the credentials are the same that Safari suggests, and so they are. Needless to say for a different user on the same Mavericks Safari logs in correctly. The same happens with most web pages that need a login, web mails for instances, I have tow accounts on different webmail providers and none of them works. Of course using the same mail services with POP3 works fine. Even on this very site I cannot post a thing with Safari, I'm going to switch to Firefox to be able to post this question. Again, Firefox or a different user are OK. Do you have any idea/suggestion?

• Copy only remaining rows after filter to new Excel Workbook

  I have an Excel file with an external data connection set up. It pulls data in directly from a database, and gives us about 450 rows. The header row allows us to filter the data in the sheet, and we use this as a general purpose tool... I will use the filters to narrow down what I'm looking at based on criteria that change depending on the circumstance. Often, after filtering the data, I want to send just the filtered records to another person. I'd like to copy/paste just the remaining rows into a new Workbook to send via e-mail. Unfortunately, this doesn't work. When I paste the data, it still pastes all the data. The filtered rows are still in the workbook... they're just hidden. I want them gone from the new file completely. How can I do this?

  I installed centos and configured email server and if I send email goes perfectly but if i reply from email that email i am getting this kind of error. Technical details of permanent failure: Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the server for the recipient domain example.com by mx00.1and1.com. [74.208.5.3]. I have bought domain in 1and1.com and i successful parked the domain. But i have doubt shall i need to add anything in MX record for other mail server. Please anyone help.

• Eliminate single point of failure for webservers?

  I know in DNS, that each of the DNS servers will be tried to see if they will respond I know in email that in the event of a failure it will go to the next one in the list or it will hold the mail for a period of time As far as I know,, in webservers,, the browser will get one of the webserver IP addresses and try it and if it fails it will give up. Is this correct? If so,, then the only way to direct traffic away from a failed IP address would be with the DNS servers.. and even that would not update immediately?

• Windows xp - recover document opened directly from IE

  Hi Attempting to help a family member recover a document. The word 2007 document was downloaded and opened directly from a webmail interface using Internet Explorer running on Windows XP. The user saved the document multiple times while working on it for the good part of a day. After closing Word 2007 the user is not able to locate the document, and I have so far not been able to help. The computer has not been turned off, and the user has not attempted to open the document directly from the mail again. Recreating the events on vista/windows 7 its easy enough to locate the document under the Temporary Internet Files folder. I have however not been able to do the same on a Windows XP. Any suggestion for how to locate this document, or if its even possible? Thanks

• Apply email retention policy to Inbox but not subfolders?

  Our official email policy states that email older than 90 days in the Inbox is moved to Deleted Items, not including subfolders of the Inbox. This wasn't a problem to implement in Exchange 2003. In 2010, however, it appears that Policy Tags applied to the Inbox also apply to its subfolders. How can I prevent this from occuring?   Mails in outlook have a relevance-field that can be displayed as a column in the inbox. How do one set it? Edit: More precisely, how are the values of custom e-mail-fields changed through the outlook 2007 gui? Here relevance and a custom field 'Score' is shown in my inbox, but all emails have blank values. The context-menu of emails give access to "Message Options...". I was hoping the custom fields would be available there.

  Hello There, I'm trying to figure out where I could drop in some PHP code to notify a CRM we are using (Solve360) that a new order has been placed, and that an event should be created (API) to fulfill the order. Order Product Checkout Complete Checkout & Capture CC Side notify CRM Done Not sure where to start, but I have had to make some small tweaks to fix the Quantum Gateway payment processor to work. In that module it appears that the objects for the order (email, amt, details) were available. However it seems it would be quite 'dirty' to insert more PHP code in there. Ideas?   I am confused about domain names (I think) I call these things, i.e. names you can buy, 'domain names' bbc.co.uk google.com I call these things, i.e. extensions of names 'host names' www.bbc.co.uk mail.yahoo.com arts.mit.edu hello.there.example.com Is this naming scheme correct? Are there official definitions of these? In particular, what are each of the texts between the dots called (i.e. the name for "www", "bbc", "edu", "example")?

It is really disturbing as it's not an emergency and usually I'm busy browsing other pages. I can't stand it any longer, but I have to use those services. I want to stop this kind of behavior either by installing a new extension or writing a Greasemonkey script. But I can't find one and have no idea about how to detect and stop the JavaScript code.   Hello, I'm reading an xml file from resources, that file contains a list of travel agencies location and adresses and i'm trying to put this list after parsing in an arraylist to use it with maps. So each time I use agencies.add(agency) it adds it to the array but also changes all previous items with the new value. • I cannot access my flickr account

  I was using Google account to log in to my Flickr. After several days, I entered into the Flickr account and found out that Flickr is moving into only Yahoo login. So I tried the Google login and it shows This account is not connected with any Yahoo account. Sign up for new........ or use existing etc... Can't remember the exact words. So I provided my Yahoo mail credentials. Now every time it is giving me a brand new account, rather taking me to my previous Flickr account. I can view the previous account photos, but After going there, it treated me as a outsider. New account showing me that I've not uploaded any photo. What's wrong? How can I connect with my previous account?

  Is there a way to keep Exchange 2013 from converting HTML message bodies of incoming messages into RTF? I'm looking at a message that was sent to an Exchange 2013 user that has this at the top of the message body (PR_RTF_COMPRESSED): {*\generator Microsoft Exchange Server;} {*\formatConverter converted from html;} The message body is in pure RTF. I expect to see HTML wrapped in RTF, which is what I want. I've looked at "Set-MailUser -Identity blah -UseMapiRichTextFormat Never", but that doesn't work for a user with an Exchange mailbox and I think it only applies to outgoing mail anyway.

• Get-Mailbox not returning all mailboxes

  I am trying to set up an exchange mailbox backup job with Vembu Storegrid and StoreGrid is unable to list the mailboxes for the client. While I was troubleshooting the issue, I did notice another thing: running the Get-Mailbox command on the mail server as the backup user only shows the mailbox for that account, while running Get-Mailbox as my admin account returns a list of what appears to be all the mailboxes. My service account is a member of "Administrators", "Domain Admins", and "Domain Users". What additional permissions might be required to list all mailboxes in the system?

• Outlook 2007 inbox message grouping like the Web App

  The Outlook Web App has this nice, default, conversation grouping. It hides all earlier messages in a conversation from the message list. When I click a mail, it shows the conversation thread in the reading pane. In Outlook 2007 I have tried grouping on received date, but it groups by minutes and not days. I've also tried grouping by conversation, but then I get this ugly tree in the list pane and I loose the "today", "yesterday", and vice versa groups. So how do I make Outlook 2007 look like the Outlook Web App? Illustration

• Squid+iptables: how do i allow https to pass-through and bypassing Squid?

  Hello, Basically started with Squid and iptables today (google is your friend). This stuff is going to be the death of me. I have Squid3 setup on Ubuntu 9.04 server as Transparent Proxy. It works sweetly when i use the proxy-box as my default gateway etc. The iptable rules for this setup was part of the tutorial. :P I can unfortunately not access https sites (such as Gmail or anything on port 443 basically). This is because Squid dont like what it cannot cache, which in this case is the https traffic. I would like to add an iptable rule so that i can basically access https sites and use Skype. Basically allow these types of traffic to pass through without going through Squid proxy? (bypassing it so to speak) Would anyone perhaps know how to do this or have a link to any sources that would assist me in figuring it out? Thank you.

So in short how can I insert from this XML into the DB preferably without manually walking through the XML tree? I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to be able to use Entity and Session Beans or maybe JAXB bindings but I'm simply not being successful. One of the reasons might have something to do with the fact that the soap response contains an array of CreditCardSettlements and each of which contains an array of Batches and DeductionItems It would be best if someone can help me do this via a BPEL in GlassFish OpenESB but any hint at a java solution is much appreciated.

• Exchange server listening on port 25 but clients dont recieve emails

  My exchange server is listening on port 25, that is I can telnet into it and send an email but Outlook 2010/2007, OWA, and ActiveSync are not pulling down emails. Outlook 2010 specifically says Connected To Exchange Server and Updating Inbox but it never updates the inbox. Also, OWA shows some of the newer mail messages, but when I double click on one to open it up in OWA, it times out. Any idea what could be causing this? Also Exchange Transport and Information Store are started. Thanks!

• Exchange 2007 automatically adding IP to block list

  This puzzled me. We have all mail directed to an ISP's spam filter, then delivered to SBS 2008 Exchange. One of the ISP's IP numbers suddenly appeared in the ES2007 block list, set to expire in 24 hours I think, so emails started bouncing. Quick look through the typically ponderous docs, and I can't see anything that says Exchange will auto-block an IP number, but nobody is admitting to adding it manually and I think it must have done. Anyone know about this or where it is configured? Obviously one could disable block lists completely but I'd like to know exactly why this happened.

• SMTP redirecting to other port than 25

  How can you redirect your smtp traffic to another port than 25? My ISP blocks incoming traffic to port 25. I've been using ZoneEdit.com for this purpose for years (incoming mail traffic goes to another port and I redirect it via my firewall internally to port 25), but with the new system I cannot do it anymore. I'm not sure if I can do this by configuring MX and A records in the right way or if I need a SMTP redirecting service (such as rollernet.us)? I'm not an expert in Zone records but generally I know my way around for website traffic.

• RSS reader that supports multiple google accounts?

  I've been looking around for an RSS reader that can handle more than 1 google account? I have multiple gmail addresses for different things in life. I separate mails this way and also RSS feeds. This works fine on google reader, but i would like to have a desktop app that can handle multiple accounts, like Thunderbird can handle multiple mail accounts. All the desktop clients I've found so far ask you for 1 google account and that's where it ends. You can't add anymore.
