I have parsing bit sorted out but using the following code doesn't seem to work: NSData *data = [[NSData alloc] initWithContentsOfURL: [NSURL URLWithString:@"http://thewebsite.net"]]; Is this the way I should be doing it or is there another way?

  • Adding a Image to UITable View Cell

    Hi, I have a table in which I want a dynamic image to load in at the left-hand side. The table needs to use an IF statement to select the appropriate image from the "Resources" folder, and needs to be based upon [dog types]. The [dog types] is extracted from an RSS feed, and so the image in the table cell needs to match the each cell's [dog types] tag. I suspect I need to use - (UIImage *)imageForTypes:(NSString *)types { to do such a thing. Thanks.

  • For a Chemical Equation Balancer App (Android), how do I count the number of atoms of each element in each term?

    This is my app: If someone enters "C6H12O6+O2=CO2+H2O", then I have already written code to split the equation into terms, so in an ArrayList called rterms I have the strings: C6H12O6 CO2 and in another ArrayList called pterms, I have: CO2 H2O I need to count the number of C's in each term of the reactants, so 6 for term 1, 0 for term 2, and then the H's and then O's. How would I do this? Any help is appreciated.

    I used, for(id value in values) to get the value from an NSArray. Now I want to store it in 2 dimensional float array[][]. When I try to assign the values to array it is giving error:incompatible types in assignment. I tried to cast the value but I got error: pointer value used where a floating point value was expected. I need to store the values in an 2 dimensional array . How can I make it ?   • Resizing the imageView in a UITableView

    Hi! I Created a grouped table view, and I noticed that placing an image in the imageView results in an image that is too large. It overlaps the rounded borders of the cell, which is horrible. I tried looking for a way to resize it, but I found many answers that didn't quite satisfy me. How would you do this? Which is the simplest way to go? The solutions I found where strangely complicated. Thanks!

    I am trying to use a custom cell, My custom cell is of size 320*220 pixels. My table size is 320* by 1500 which is large enough I have set custom cell's view in scale to fill mode. But when i fill the table using custom cell all i see is first row. i have total four rows to be filld in a custom way. but they gets overlapped and i can not see any of the table..   • Unable to Access UILabel in UITableViewCell

    I am having trouble in accessing which is in the UITableViewCell, that i have placed in my main .xib file. That Label is connected to IBOutlet servicesCell. And the Label inside the table view cell is connected through IBOutlet serviceLabel. At runtime i am not getting the text which i am assining to that label.     Starter question: My "Hello World" attempt won't run, ("No compatible targets were found"), I think this is bacause I selected the latest version for my project (2.2), and the highest AVD version is 2.0.1. Does this make sense? Can I change my project version (haven't been able to find a way to do this), or do I have to start again? If the versions are not backwards compatible, what is the best version to use for the majority of Android devices out there? Thanks

  • UITableViewCell: Allowing Selective Deletion

    I have a table view and want to allow rearranging of all cells, however there are certain cells that i do not want to be allowed to be deleted. when the UiTableView is put into deletion mode i do not want the red '-' button to appear on the left hand side, and do not want the swipe gesture to bring up the Delete button of these cells but want it to happen for the others. Any ideas?
