    How can I implement cancelation of editing an object using MVVM. For example: I have a list of customers. I choose one customer an click the button "Edit", a dialog window(DataContext is binded to CustomerViewModel) opens and I start editing customer's fields. And then I decide to cancel editing, but the fields of the customer have been already changed, so how can I return a customer to its previous state in MVVM?

I've read up on this a little and most examples are dealing with strings and ints. I've figured out I can use the colorconverter class but I'm not sure it will be very efficient.     Do you have some predefined set of targets which all build.xml files you create contain? For example, a lot of ant manuals suggest the following list of targets: init clean compile build jar test javadoc dist deploy webapp What is the most large build file you met in your life? How many targets did it have and what are they? How often do you need more than predefined set of targets? The goal is to develop some conventions to have standard buildfile template for any project having the notion of the maven-like approach in mind (when a lot of work happens under the cover, convention over configuration). Also it would be great if you know the place where one can find collection of different buildfiles to choose or to get inspired from.

    We added a SharePoint BDC model project to a solution in Visual Studio 2010. Ever since, whenever the solution is built, instead of showing the Build output in the Output window, it insists on having "SharePoint Tools" selected in the "Show Output from:" drop-down, just to say "Model validation started ... Model validation completed with no errors." Short of shutting off any SharePoint projects in the build configuration, can this behavior be overridden?

  • Font for mac osx that is as readable and compact as the default xterm (X11) font.

    The font used in xterms is extremely compact yet readable. What font is that? The closest I've found that I can use in other other applications is DejaVu Sans Mono or Bitstream Vera Sans Mono. Those are as compact as xterms vertically but take up more space horizontally. I'd really like to switch from xterms to Terminal.app and this is the one thing holding me back. (I also think that font would be much better for emacs, xcode, or whatever editor.) ADDED: In Terminal.app you can adjust the character and line spacing for any font. Is this possible in other applications? I'm open to any other font that is as compact and readable as the xterm font. Dina looks really nice but it doesn't seem to work for Mac.

  • Resharper 5: How do I set the default formatting style for inline code blocks?

    I've got a problem with the formatting of inline code blocks within the VS2010 text editor and wonder if anyone else has had similar problems and found the 'magic' setting I'm looking for. I'm working my way through tutorials in an MVC book. Whenever I add some inline code blocks to a view I want them formatted like so: <% foreach (var link in Model) { %> <a href="<%=Url.RouteUrl(link.RouteValues)%>"> <%=link.Text%> </a> <% } %> What I'm actually getting is this (auto-formatted by the IDE when I finish writing the code): <% foreach (var link in Model) { %> <a href="<%=Url.RouteUrl(link.RouteValues)%>"> <%=link.Text%> </a> <% } %> It's pretty irritating. Any ideas on how I can instruct the IDE to leave my <% % tags alone? I've been fiddling with options under "Tools - Options - Text Editor" for ages but alas am getting nowhere... Edit: I've just noticed that this is down to Resharper 5 (when I disable it the problem disappears), however I still don't know how to stop it. Any ideas?
