    Some of the degree sysmbols in my sql server database are displaying like this: 173-¦F. When I do a search for that - SELECT * FROM PRoduct WHERE description LIKE '%-¦%', it does not bring them up. How can I find (and replace) such characters?

I need the first row inserted every day for the past X days. one of my columns is a timestamp, which i hold the time inserted, and another column is the row id.   • vb6 ADODB TSQL procedure call quit working after database migration

    This code was once working on sql server 2005. Now isolated in a visual basic 6 sub routine using ADODB to connect to a sql server 2008 database it throws an error saying: "Login failed for user 'admin' " I have since verified the connection string does work if i replace the body of this sub with the alternative code below this sub.     I get the following error when I call a stored proc within an execute sql task in SSIS. "Description: Executing the query "Exec up_CallXXX" failed with the following error: "Incorrect syntax near '13'.". Possible failure reasons: Problems with the query, "ResultSet" property not set correctly, parameters not set correctly, or connection not established correctly." The stored proc runs fine when I execute it through SSMS. Does anyone have an idea what is going on.

  • converting factored number to decimal in MS SQL

    I need to convert a number which gives decimals in factored format in to decimals, i.e. 11.16 is 11.5 in decimal. This is because 16 is in base of 32 and 11.16 should be read as 11+16/32 = 11.5 I get 11.16 as a string and I need to change it to 11.5 as numeric in MS SQL(2005) database. Any shorter way of doing this rather than splitting strings,converting to numerics,maths,convert to string, concatenate and then convert to numeric?

  • .NET datetime issue with SQL stored procedure

    I am getting the below error when executing my application on a Windows XP machine with .NET 2.0 installed. On my computer Windows 7 .NET 2.0 - 3.5 I am not having any issues. The target SQL server version is 2005. This error started occurring when I added the datetime to the stored procedure.
