• JavaFX InternalFrame or WindowNode

  I was looking for an InternalFrame for JavaFX. Apparently I it seems like there is no InternalFrame available. How does one create an MDI application with JavaFX? I have tried to simulate this behavior by using a custom Region that can be dragged around. Is that the way to go? What about typical window elements such as titlebar, possibility to resize etc. Do I have to implement that myself via custom controls? Thanks, miho

  I have a single page website built on bootstrap 3, that I am trying to move to Google Apps Engine. I Scaffold my sites using php, and all the content is showing but not the styles and javascript. My site is basically set up as follows _/js/bootstrap.js _/js/custom.js _/fonts/glypicon ...etc _/css/bootstrap.css _/css/custom.css _/php/ .. all my php files go here ... index.php can someone help me setup my app.yaml for this? I am new to GAE, and am a little confused by this.

• CTRL+mouse wheel in gvim (windows) not paging

  Hello, I'm loving vim, but one thing that's bugging me is that when I hold the control key and mouse wheel up or down, the window scrolls normally when the bindings are telling it to page up/down. I'm using the exact same vimrc file (and plugins) on one of my linux machines and the CTRL+mouse wheel does page up down (as opposed to just normally scrolling like in windows). Is there some way to force gvim to response to a ctrl+MouseUp/Down event? It seems to be ignoring it in windows ='[

The mybb_userfields is the table that contain custom profile field data that they are able to customize & change in their profile. Now, all I want to do is display all users in rows with the custom profile field data that they provided in their profile(which is in the mybb_userfields table) How can I display these fields correctly together? For instance, p0gz is a male,lives in AZ,he owns a 360,does not know his bandwidth & Flip Side Phoenix is his team. How can it just be like "p0gz-male-az-360-dont know-flipside phoenix" in a row~???

  I am trying to integrate my custom user system with Wordpress, and I have recently asked a question on how to redirect requests to wp-login.php to my own login/registration page, but as I was working on the pluggable functions, I realized that requests to wp-login.php can either be for login, registration, or log out. This is set in the action argument that's made in the request. What I am trying to figure out is how to get this action argument, so I can redirect the request to my custom pages. • iPad web app: Prevent input focus AFTER ajax call

  So I've read around and can't for the life of me figure out of to solve my issue effectively. In short, I have a web app built for the iPad - which works as it should. However, I have an Ajax form which also submits as it should. But, after the callback and I clear/reset my form, the "iPad" automatically focuses on an input and opens the keyboard again. This is far from ideal. I managed to hack my way around it, but it's still not perfect. The code below is run on my ajax callback, which works - except there's still a flash of the keyboard quickly opening and closing. Note, my code won't work unless I use setTimeout. Also, from my understanding, document.activeElement.blur(); only works when there's a click event, so I triggered one via js. IN OTHER WORDS, HOW DO I PREVENT THE KEYBOARD FROM REOPENING AFTER AJAX CALL ON WEB APP? PS: Ajax call works fine and doesn't open the keyboard in Safari on the iPad, just web app mode.   I already created a custom 404 page inside my web app deployed in JBoss AS 7.1. So if my app is at fubar dot com :8080/Myapp and I go to fubar dot com :8080/Myapp/xyzzy, I get the custom error page (defined in the web app's web.xml file). However, when I go to fubar dot com :8080/xyzzy, JBoss displays the default 404 page which discloses that it's JBoss and which JBoss version. I need to replace this page in order to hide this information. Please advise.

  Hi, I'm making a custom search box Web Part, similar to the OOTB Web Part from SharePoint (SearchBoxEx class). I'm interested in modifying the search query with additional text before it is submitted, based on a custom checkbox added on the Web Part. Any help on how I can achieve this? UPDATE: I've used the AppendToQuery and AppQueryTerms properties, but this will rewrite the text in the search box as well. I'm interested in passing the values "in the background", maybe as an extra parameter. Point is that the query modification should happen without the user seeing it explicitly.

  Hello Everyone, I need users to create custom reports. These users do not know any technical skills like SQL. We currently have a custom database report design. So basically whatever the user does on the GUI the application will have to generate the appropriate SQL to generate the report structure. Has anyone done this before? I know there are reporting solutions out there but we already have our own database tables for reporting. We already have a section where users can view reports displayed in HTML. Like for example if user selects a "UserID" and "Accounts" fields from GUI, how would I know that my SQL has to join the USER and ACCOUNTS table? I guess I'm just looking for some ideas to help me solve this problem. Thanks.

• Configuring log4j at runtime

  I'm using org.apache.tools.ant.listener.Log4jListener to manage logging with my ant script. The ant script is highly configurable and designed to be run different ways with different parameters and therefore I need to be able to log to files specified at runtime. I have a log4j.properties which specifies a log file to be build.log, and despite my attempts to launch ant redefining properties defined in log4j.properties have been unsuccessful. The build ignores them and continues to write to build.log. I haven't found much support regarding writing to custom files unless it's in Java with their Logger class. Perhaps I'm thinking this through wrong. log4j.properties isn't treated in the same way as a property file in an ant script (hence overrideable from the command line)? Is there a way I can do this intelligently without writing a custom task or something?

For example the Wishlist module has wishlist (same name as the module) xml tag in the config.xml file in which it defines: <item> <product_attributes> <visibility/> <url_path/> <url_key/> </product_attributes> </item> Where is this module using these configurations? Also if I was to build payment method, I have to add in my custom module config.xml a tag for sales and then for quote and so on... I read in SDK I can use service account to login without promting user, but I don't know how to share or give permissions files for custom users. • [WordPress 3.1.3] Sreen option is disabled when a plugin is activated

  I'm pretty new to wordpress. I was assigned to create a custom plugin for one of our projects here. The plugin worked as expected and there is no problem activating/deactivating it. When I was exploring the admin panel I noticed that the screen option is off. I read from a blog somewhere that deactivating the plugin one by one to check which plugin has caused this. I did just this and found out that the custom plugin I created was the cause. My question is, is there way to check what have caused this? Some log file I can look into? There is no error message or warning when I activated the plugin and it is giving the output required. This is my first plugin, any advice will be helpful. Btw, this plugin will display a comment (most recent will be shown first) in a widget and there is prev/next navigation to go through the rest of the comments. Thanks, RNorbe

• How to make a section header with an non-rectangular shape without ugly underflow?

  I made an custom UITableView. Then I made a custom header for sections. It has round corners. But unfortunately, the rows of the section are visible in those round corners when the header floats over them. I could just make a background color so the corners are not transparent. But that is not a solution since my whole table has a background image and the section header can move. Is there any way to get the clipping region for the rows a little bit more downwards? I mean: They should not appear under that section header.

  We are a team of many developers working on a website that uses both Joomla and custom PHP scripts. The problem is that there are multiple developers working on various features which need to update information in Joomla (adding modules, changing existing ones or changing settings) and when one developer changes something, he usually makes the change locally first and then does the same thing (hopefully) on the production server. Not only that this is very error-prone, but the developers often forget to tell other developers about the changes. The custom PHP scripts are easily shared between developers, but the changes in Joomla are often forgotten and they lead to serious conflicts when a developer tries to replicate his local changes in production. I have thought about placing Joomla in a Mercurial repository, but how could we distribute the changes in the database between the development, the testing and the production machines?

  JPanel panel = new JPanel(null); panel.setSize(400, 400); panel.add(new JButton("Test")); panel.setCursor(Cursor.getCursor(Cursor.SOMETHING_SOMETHING_CURSOR)); The panel will have a custom cursor, but I don't want the button to have a custom cursor. I don't want to have to set the cursor of every sub component, because in my application I have many and I don't want to litter the code with setCursor statements. Is there a way, like overriding a method on the JPanel or something? A "contains" method somewhere is used to determine if a cursor needs to be set. Could I fool it into thinking the mouse is not in the container if it's really in a sub component? Any other nifty little trick?

  Does that sound right to anyone???? I have an ItemsControl that displays data from a custom object that implements iNotifyPropertyChanged. The DataTemplate consists of: Border 3 buttons 5 textboxes An ellipse A Bindable RichTextBox (custom class that inherits from RichTextBox... so I could make Document a dependency property (to support binding)) Several grids and stackpanels for layout It uses: Styles (stored in a resource dictionary higher up the tree) Styles affect: colors, thicknesses, and text properties: which are data-bound to a "settings" class that implements iNotifyPropertyChanged, so the user can change display settings That's it! So what gives? I've also noticed that when I empty and remove the ItemsControl, memory isn't freed. over 5000 instances of "CommandBindingCollection" and "WeakReference" are CREATED (using ANTS profiler). And huge number of EffectiveValueEntry objects are created too. So really, what gives!!! :-) Thanks for your insight! Management needs this project soon but in its current state, it's unreleasable.

  I've created a custom UIViewController that mimics the UISplitViewController. It manages two child view controllers that get displayed in the left & right body area while in landscape and hides the left to show in a popover when in portrait. It works fine, using the didRotateFromInterfaceOrientation: and willRotateToInterfaceOrientation: messages to reset the location and sizing of the child views. All the views and child controllers are loaded from a nib. This custom view controller is shown inside a UINavigationController. The trouble arises after one of the child view controllers uses presentModalViewController. If the device was rotated after the views were initialized (but before the modal controller is shown), after the modal dialog is dismissed, the left and/or body views will be re-rendered in a different rotation than they were before the modal dialog was changed. I'm wondering if folks have had a similar problem, and what the solution is. I'm sure sample code would be helpful, but it'll take a bunch of work to distill it into a runnable sample.

  I have a grouped UITableView that has 3 sections and a number of cells in each section that each need to be a different custom cell, with different display requirements. I currently have a large if statement in cellForRowAtIndexPath, with each branch instantiating and returning the appropriate custom cell based on interrogating the indexPath's section and row properties. e.g. if (indexPath.section == 0 && indexPath.row == 0) { // instantiate and return cell A } else if (indexPath.section == 1 && indexPath.row == 2) { // instantiate and return cell B } //etc etc What is best practice for this scenario? A large if statement does the job, but is it the best implementation?
