• How can I put a string and an integer into the same array?

  I have to following code. I want this to return an array e.g. arg[] that contains at arg[0] the number of the rows of my cursor and at arg[1] String(0) of my cursor. Since one is integer and the other is string I have a problem. • How do I swap triangle icons when doing expanding/collapsing divs with Javascript/CSS

  I have a div that I want to toggle between displaying or not when a user clicks on a piece of text. I have a javascript function that toggles a div on or off. That works fine. What I don't know how to do is to have a triangle that points to the right or down depending on whether the div is open. My HTML looks like this: <a onclick="toggleDiv('myDiv');">Click here to expand or close div</a> <div id="myDiv" style="display:none"> ... </div> How do I add one of those triangles and have it point the right way, ideally with just HTML, Javascript, and CSS? • Lua not producing table of functions (IO API)

  I'm working on a basic project in Lua. I've been trying to get data from files using the IO API (as defined here), but when I open a file and give it a handle, it doesn't seem to return a table of functions. "\n" handle.close() fs.delete(file) end The fs you see on the first line is a professional filesystem wrapper round the IO API, not my work and perfectly error-free, so that's not the problem. However, when I try to read the file (handle:read()), it throws "attempt to index nil". Tracing it, it turns out that handle itself is nil. Any ideas?

• working with files on "start without debugging"

  I'm programming in C, and I have the following problem: I use fopen and try to read from a csv file, that is currently storred in the folder of the exe file of the program. the program works fine in debug mode and release mode, but when I try to run the program in "start without debugging" on visual studio 2008 express edition, the program stops working and windows is showing a message: "*.exe has stopped working. a program caused the program to stop working correctly. windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available". I've tried running the program on several computers, and it's the same. another information I can give you is that if I enter the full path of the file (C:....file.csv) - then is works just fine, without any problem. I know I didn't write any code, but I hope someone will have an idea why this can happend. thanks is advance.

• Help moving multiple images at once with touches

  Here is my problem: I am trying to move a puzzle piece around the screen and then connect to the other piece if they are in close proximity. I have achieved this, though it is perhaps a little odd the way I did. My problem though is that once they have connected, I can't figure out how to move them as one image, instead of two separate entities. I would really appreciate any help or suggestions.   This must be a pretty basic thing to do, but I cannot find any good guide on how to do it on the internet. I only find how to set up a development environment for Node. I want to be able to forward my R-Pi's port 80 to my Node server, which I want to obviously listen on port 80. How can I close the native port 80 so that I can let me Node server listen on that port. Ultimately, I want to be able to access my pi from any remote location. I know how to set up a static IP and forward the port on my router, but now how do I allow Node into port 80?

  I have a project. It has a good number of PHP files. Each of these files includes a standard header. They don't include a standard footer. Now I want to do something just before the end of every page. I can go through each page and add the footer code, but I was wondering if there is an easier way (and I think I've seen something like it before, though I might be mistaken). Is there a way to set a "hook" or "trigger" function that will be executed at the end of a page, from the included header PHP script? I'm thinking of something like set_error_handler but to handle a page close event. Or like C's atexit function.

  So like the title says im starting to learn some python and im having trouble picking up on this technique. What I need to accomplish is to read in some numbers and store them in a list. The text file looks like the following: 0 0 3 50 50 100 4 20 Basically these are coordinates and directions to be used for python's turtle to make shapes. I got that part down the only problem is getting them in a correct format. So what I can not figure out is how to get those numbers from the file into [ [0, 0, 3, 50], [50, 100, 4, 20] ] A list, with each four coordinates being a list in that one big list.   We're using SQL Inserts to insert some data via a script into DB/2 tables, e.g. CREATE TABLE TICKETS (TICKETID VARCHAR(10) NOT NULL); On my home installation, this statement works fine (note that I'm using an integer which is autoatically cast into a VarChar): INSERT INTO TICKETS (TICKETID) VALUES (1); while at my customer's site I get a type error. My question(s): Is this behavior version dependent? (I use a DB2 Express V9.7, while the customer has an Enterprise V9.5) Is there a config option to change the behavior? On the same page I have form where I can input some textobox and with the click on the button make update on the same data in the database whis is at the first time loaded on the same page? The date is update, I can see it in SQL SERVER, but on the web page not. Its still the old data presents. After I close my application and run it again, then the new data appears on the page.

  I would like to slice random letters from a string. Given s="howdy" I would like to pick elements from 's' without replacement but keep the index number. For example >>> random.sample(s,len(s)) ['w', 'h', 'o', 'd', 'y'] is close to what I want, but I would actually prefer something like [('w',2), ('h',0), ('o',1), ('d',3), ('y',4)] with letter-index pairs. This is important because the same letter appears in 's' more than once. ie) "letter" where 't' appears twice but I need to distinguish the first 't' from the 'second'. Ideally I actually only need to pick letters as I need them but scrambling and calculating all the letters in a list (as shown above) is ok.

  I'm new at using transforms and this type of math, and would appreciate some direction solving my coding problem. I'm writing in XCode for the iphone, and am working with CGraphics. Problem: In Xcode, I want to draw curves, lines and so on it's screen of of square pixels. Then convert those points, as close as possible, into non-square pixel sysem. For example if the original coordinate system is 500 x 500 pixels that are displayed on square screen of 10 by 10 inchs I draw a round circle with the circle formula. It looks round, and all is well. Now, I draw the same circle on a second 10 x 10 inch screen that is 850 pixels by 500 pixels. Without changing the coordinates, the same circle formual displays something that looks like an egg. How can I draw the circle on the second screen in a different coordinate system? And in addition, I need to access the set of points x,y system individually. s

• Wierd characters in exported csv files when converting

  Hey guys, I came across a problem I cannot solve on my own concerning the downloadable csv formatted trends data files from Google Insights for Search. I'm to lazy to reformat the files I4S gives me manually what means: Extracting the section with the actual trends data and reformatting the columns so that I can use it with a modelling program I do for school. So I wrote a tiny script the should do the work for me: Taking a file, do some magic and give me a new file in proper format. What it's supposed to do is reading the file contents, extracting the trends section, splitting it by newlines, splitting each line and then reorder the columns and maybe reformat them. When looking at a untouched I4S csv file it looks normal containing CR LF caracters at line breaks (maybe thats only because I'm using Windows). When just reading the contents and then writing them to a new file using the script wierd asian characters appear between CR and LF. I tried the script with a manually written similar looking file and even tried a csv file from Google Trends and it works fine. • Environment.GetFolderPath(...CommonApplicationData) is still returning c:\Docs&Set on Vista

  As i understand it, you're supposed to use Environment.GetFolderPath method so you have OS independent code... WinXP uses C:\Docs and Settings\ Vista uses C:\ProgramData and c:\Users I'm using the code below on a vista computer and it's returning a c:\documents and settings directory instead of c:\ProgramData like it should...
