  • Converting items in Visual Studio project from "links" to copied files

    Hi, I have a Visual Studio (2008) project where I have some files added as links (through Add Existing Item-Add As Link). Suppose I want to copy this project somewhere else (give it to another developer, release source code, etc.) and I would like to "convert" all these links to actual copies of these files. Is this possible? How can I do this in VS or is there some 3rd party utility to do that? Thanks.

    okay i have found the way to run a video in a image.... the procedure as given below 1 - Run a video in Windows Media Player 2 - While the video running, Press Print Screen 3 - Paste it in MS Paint 4 - Save the image in JPEG or BMP format 5 - Run any video in Windows Media Player again 6 - Now open that image, in Windows Page\Fax Viewer or ACDsee etc. 7 - at this time the win. media player is playing and the image is open 8- Switch to image (focus on image) and you will see the currently running video in the image can anybody with extensive knowledge of windows tell me why does this happen. Well this doesn't work in all versions of windows and media players. i tried this on the follwing setup Windows Media Player 10 Windows XP 2006 SP2

  • Subversion: Write protection for tagged directories

    Hi, i am using subversion as RCS. Always when a new version of my project is finised i create a tag of it (copy of the trunk). Does anybody know how i can protect this tagged directory from being accidentally modified? At the moment as a workaround i lock all files. But this sill means that the user with the lock can edit the files. Is there any better solution?

    As detailed elsewhere, and otherwise apparently well-known, Internet Explorer (definitely 7, and in some instances, 8) do not implement key functions, in particular on Array (such as forEach, indexOf, etc). There are a number of workarounds here and there, but I'd like to fold a proper, canonical set of implementations into our site rather than copy and paste or hack away at our own implementations. I've found js-methods, which looks promising, but thought I'd post here to see whether another library comes more highly-recommended. A couple of misc. criteria: the lib should just be a no-op for those functions that a browser already has implementations for (js-methods appears to do quite well here) non-GPL, please, though LGPL is acceptable

  • Python: Count lines and differentiate between them

    I'm using an application that gives a timed output based on how many times something is done in a minute, and I wish to manually take the output (copy paste) and have my program, and I wish to count how many times each minute it is done. An example output is this: 13:48 An event happened. 13:48 Another event happened. 13:49 A new event happened. 13:49 A random event happened. 13:49 An event happened. So, the program would need to understand that 2 things happened at 13:48, and 3 at 13:49. I'm not sure how the information would be stored, but I need to average them after, to determine an average of how often it happens. Sorry for being so complicated!

    Hi, I want to use leiningen to build and develop my clojure project. Is there a way to modify project.clj to tell it to pick some jars from local directories? I have some proprietary jars that cannot be uploaded to public repos. Also, can leiningen be used to maintain a "lib" directory for clojure projects? If a bunch of my clojure projects share the same jars, I don't want to maintain a separate copy for each of them. Thanks

Basically: I have a long vector of variables: names <- c("first","second", "third") I have some data, and I now need to add the variables. I could do: data$first <- NA But since I have a long list, and I would like an automated solution. This doesn't work. for (i in 1:length(names)) (paste("data$", names[i],sep="") <- NA) The reason I want this, is that I need to vertically merge to dataframes, where one doesn't have all the variables it should have.   • Why is it supposedly "hard" to deploy Ruby on Rails to production?

    I admit that I don't follow much of anything "right" on deploying test versus production code. I have been using ASP.NET, and I typically run it locally in Visual Studio, it works, I upload it, I test it again on the production server. I have read several people say that deploying Rails apps is harder and there are special programs/ways on the ruby site about deploying RoR. I've only toyed with RoR. What is special about deployment? You don't just copy and paste the code and run it (from development machine to the production)? Is it because one is in Apache and the other running on the built in server? This will be on a Mac Server if it matters. Thank you for comments.

  • XCode copies blank database when doing build...

    I've noticed that even though I placed my sqlite3 database in the "resources" folder, and even though I checked the "Copy file" box, when I do a build, XCode creates an empty database toi the application folder it's building...so it's FINDING the database, and OPENING it, but there's nothing IN it, so when I do a sqlite3_prepare_v2, I get a SQLITE_ERROR... Help! What am I doing wrong?

    I have two operations that I do all the time in Emacs: Create a new buffer and paste the clipboard. [C-S-n] Close the current buffer. [C-S-w] Switch to the last viewed buffer [C-TAB] I feel like a keyboard acrobat when doing the first two operations. I think it would be worth trying some custom keybindings and macros. A few questions about this customization: How would I make a macro for #1? Are these good keybindings (i know this is a bit subjective, but they might be used by something popular that I don't use) Has anyone found a Ctrl-Tab macro that will act like Alt-Tab in Linux/Windows? Specifically, I want it have a stack of buffers according to the last viewed timestamp (most recent on top). I want to continue cycling through the stack until I let go of the ctrl key. When the ctrl key is released, I want the current buffer to get an updated position on the stack.

But next comes the trouble: pl.f <- ggplot(diamonds.tf, aes(x=diamonds.tf[,i]))+ geom_bar()+ xlab(names(diamonds.tf[i])) for (i in 1:ncol(diamonds.tf)) { ggsave(paste("plot.f",i,".png",sep=""), plot=pl.f, height=3.5, width=5.5) } This saves the plots in my working directory - but with the wrong x-label. I think this is strange since calling ggplot directly produces the right plot: i <- 2 ggplot(diamonds, aes(x=diamonds[,i]))+geom_bar()+xlab(names(diamonds)[i]) I don't really know how to describe this as a fitting title - suggestions as to a more descriptive question-title is most welcome.     I need to be able to display and edit a hierarchical list of tasks in a C# app. It can either be a Windows form app, or ASP.NET. Basically, I want similar behaviour to the way Microsoft Project handles tasks. The control would need to: 1) Maintain a list of items made up of several fields 2) Each item can have a number of children (at least 3 levels of nesting) 3) It needs to be very easy to change the parents/children of an item 4) It needs to be very easy to edit the fields (as fast as changing cells in Excel) 5) It needs to be very easy to reorder the items by dragging and dropping or cut and paste 6) If I can easily connect the control to a database, even better Anyone got any recommendations for controls for me to look at?
