• Appengine Apps Vs Google bot web crawler

  i built an appengine web app cricket.hover.in. The web app consists of about 15k url's linked in it, But even after a long time of my launch, no pages are indexed on google. Any base link place on my root site hover.in are being indexed with in minutes. but i placed the same link home page of root site a long back. but its of no use. can any one analyse , if there is any issue with cricket.hover.in or if bots have any issues with Google app engine actually tested the url using labs app of webmaster tools of google there the return is fine and html is clear. but when tested the same (cricket.hover.in) at the following urls its showing different results of failure www.dnsqueries.com/en/googlebot_simulator.php www.smart-it-consulting.com/internet/google/googlebot-spoofer/ but if i test some of my php or word press links at the above url's the results are good and fine. please help me with this.

• Struts2 + Sitemesh + Freemarker doesn't work

  I've tried following every example i ccould find and i can't get struts2 + sitemesh + freemarker to work on a simple jsp. I have a very simple web.xml, a single action that just goes to index.jsp, and a simple .ftl decorator that just adds some text to the result.   I am trying to use mod_rewrite to pretty up a URL. I want the URL to look like this: http://example.com/bart/school?page=2 and the rewritten URL to be: http://localhost:8080/app?user=bart&tag1=school&page=2 If possible, I would also like to be able to have more than one tag per user: http://example.com/bart/school/lisa?page=2 Would look like: http://localhost:8080/app?user=bart&tag1=school&tag2=lisa&page=2 I far as I can tell this is possible by using mod_rewrite but I can't seem to figure it out. Any help would be really appreciated!

• Request builder call not returning when using ssl(https)

  Hi , I am using GWT. Currently using gwt-rpc to for login authentication. For only login purpose i want to use ssl(https) and so instead of using gwt-rpc i am trying Request Builder and calling a servlet with https. When in Servlet URL i use protocol as http the request builder works perfectly and response returns to client side(onResponseReceived ). but when i use https in the servlet url then the servlet is gettting called but the response is not returning to the onResponseReceived method of request builder. my url with http looks like : http://localhost:8888/myproject/myservlet and with https it looks like :https://localhost/myproject/myservlet Please give any suggestion or is there any other way to do it.and also is it possible to use ssl over gwt-rpc.

  I need to convert a batch file to vbscript but am unfamiliar with both. If I can understand what is going on in the batch file I can work out the vbscript easy enough. Problem is the batch file runs a few cscript commands which is supposed to have a syntax of cscript [script name] [host options] [script arguments] However whomever wrote the batch file doesn't use it in a standard manner so if someone could explain the use of the command I can work out the rest.   I have developed a Java Web Application and I want to show it to my client by hosting it on a server. I tried to run it on my localpc through web-browser and it worked fine. I gave the hostname as "localhost" in the URL of my webApplication. Now I want to show it to my client who is on other computer on internet. I tried to replace the "localhost" from my webApplication's url to my current ip address. But when I put that URL on my own browser, it didn't work. How can I show that web-application to my client. I have my own domain name but do not own any web-hosting. I don't want to purchase a web-hosting plan. One more problem: I don't have static IP address. My IP changes almost everytime when I connect to my ISP.

• Determining URLs updated via a series of commit logs

  I'm working on a project where I programmatically need to know when a URL has been changed by a developer, post or during deploy. The obvious answer may be to curl the URL one day, save the output, then curl and in x days then do a diff. That won't work in my case, as I'm only looking for changes the developer mande. If the site is a blog, new comments, user submitted photos, etc would make that curl diff useless. RoR example, using github. Let's assume I have access to the entire repository and all commit logs between iterations. Is there a way I could see that "/views/people/show.html.erb" was commited, then backtrack from there (maybe by inspecting routes.rb), to come up with the URL I can then hit via a browser?

Within scripts/sessions.php i have a function to save whatever the $_POST information is to a file, and the sessions.php never saves this saveFormValues call. It never shows up to the file. But if i keep trying to get it to save, about once every 15 will actually allow it to be saved. This leads me to believe that the forms POST is somehow blocking this value saving post. Any help?

• What is the purpose of link shortener?

  I might be missing something here but am unable to understand the true purpose of link shortener services like bit.ly or is it just a lot of hype! Truly if you type nyti.ms on your URL bar on the browser it takes you to www.nytimes.com, but still what is so hard in typing "nytimes.com! which is far much comprehensible to read and understand leave alone to remember! Does shortening URL serve any purpose in web development? Why should someone want use obscure shortened URL?

I tried the regex: redirecturl\\?u=(?<link>[^\"]+)& This works, but the problem is that it does not truncate all the characters after the first occurrence of &.   I am trying to open a remote Stream of a JPEG image and convert it into a Bitmap object: BitmapFactory.decodeStream( new URL("http://some.url.to/source/image.jpg") .openStream()); The decoder returns null and in the logs I get the following message: DEBUG/skia(xxxx): --- decoder->decode returned false Note: 1. the content length is non-zero and content type is image/jpeg 2. When I open the URL in browser I can see the image. What is that I am missing here? Please help. Thanks.

  I have a master page, which has a style sheet, which has the following line: .idle { background-image: url( '../../Images/blue_bg.png' ); } All my pages inherit from this master page. And this works well when the URL is http://www.domain.com/home/details/5, however the URL is http://www.domain.com/home/create, then, of course, blue_bg.png cannot be found because `../../Images/blue_bg.png' resolves to a directory one higher where there is nothing there. I tried the trick suggested by @codemeit in a similar question, but I can't plop down C# in a style sheet, can I? How is this typically handled?

  Hi, Im new to android and am just trying to install the SDK. I have everything else done. When i run the SDK Setup.exe (ive added the ./tools to the path already.) It gives me the famous cannot fetch URL error. Failed to fetch URL https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/repository.xml, reason: Permission denied: connect I tried the force http option and also manually adding a http:// version of the above url. • How can I send a GET request containing a colon, to an ASP.NET MVC2 controller?

  This works fine: GET /mvc/Movies/TitleIncludes/Lara%20Croft When I submit a request that contains a colon, like this: GET /mvc/Movies/TitleIncludes/Lara%20Croft:%20Tomb ...it generates a 400 error. The error says ASP.NET detected invalid characters in the URL. If I try url-escaping, the request looks like this: GET /mvc/Movies/TitleIncludes/Lara%20Croft%3A%20Tomb ...and this also gives me a 400 error. If I replace the colon with a | : GET /mvc/Movies/TitleIncludes/Lara%20Croft|%20Tomb ..that was also rejeted as illegal, this time with a 500 error. The message: Illegal characters in path. URL-escaping that | results in the same error. I really, really don't want to use a querystring parameter. related: Sending URLs/paths to ASP.NET MVC controller actions

I'm trying to make a simple filter search where-by you can choose from a series of 3 drop downs and then based upon this the results are then displayed, How would I go about adjusting the sql query for each and if you were to only choose to search from aone of the 3 rather than all 3 etc... example there could be the url with input such as: url.com?location=gb&color=3&hair=4 and still form the correct sql query for something like this: url.com?location=gb&hair=1 and not encounter problems with WHERE and AND etc etc and empty variables in the statement Would this not need to be a massive function to check using if to see how the data is set for all possibilities?
