  • Having trouble with instantiating objects in PHP & Ajax custom shopping cart

    This is my first time playing with both ajax and objects, so please go easy on me I have 3 pages that make up the tester shopping cart. 1) page with 'add' 'remove' buttons and ajax code to call the PHP functions on page 2. this is the actual user page with the HTML output. 2) page with PHP cart function calls, receives $_GET requests from ajax on page 1 and calls functions of the cart object from page 3, returns results to page 1. 3) page with cart object definition. Here's the problem I believe I'm having. Currently I have 'session_start()' on pgs 1 & 2, and the cart definition (pag 3) on pgs 1 & 2. I only define '$_SESSION[cart]= new Cart' on page 2. However, it seems like each time i hit an ajax function (eg each time pg 2 reloads) it seems like it's rewriting $_SESSION['cart'] over again, thus it's always empty at each new click (even tho it displays results of that click) However, if i don't define '$_SESSION[cart] = new Cart' on pg 2, i get an error: Fatal error: main() [function.main]: The script tried to execute a method or access a property of an incomplete object. Please ensure that the class definition "Cart" of the object you are trying to operate on was loaded before unserialize() gets called or provide a __autoload() function to load the class definition in /home3/foundloc/public_html/booka/carti.php on line 17 Any suggestions?   • Extracting, then passing raw data into another class - How to avoid copying twice while maintaining

    Consider a class Book with a stl container of class Page. each Page holds a screenshot, like page10.jpg in raw vector<char> form. A Book is opened with a path to a zip, rar, or directory containing these screenshots, and uses respective methods of extracting the raw data, like ifstream inFile.read(buffer, size);, or unzReadCurrentFile(zipFile, buffer, size). It then calls the Page(const char* stream, int filesize) constructor. Right now, it's clear that the raw data is being copied twice. Once to extract to Book's local buffer and a second time in the Page ctor to the Page::vector<char>. Is there a way to maintain encapsulation while getting rid of the middleman buffer?

  • Trouble using ‘this.files’ in GruntJS Tasks

    Background: So I’m new to writing grunt tasks, so hopefully this isn’t a stupid question. Purpose of my grunt task: Given a file (html / jsp / php / etc) search all the link / script tags, compare the href / src to a key, and replace with the contents of the file. Proposed task configuration: myTask:{ index:{ files:{src:"test/testcode/index.html", dest:"test/testcode/index.html"}, css:[ { file: "/css/some/css/file.css", fileToReplace:"/target/css/file.css" }, { file: "/css/some/css/file2.css", fileToReplace:"/target/css/file2.css" } ], js:[ { file: "/css/some/css/file.css", fileToReplace:”/target/css/file.css" }, { file: "/css/some/css/file2.css", fileToReplace:"/target/css/file2.css" } ] } } Problem: Now, per my understanding, when dealing with files, you should reference the ‘this.files’ object because it handles a bunch of nice things for you, correct? Using intelliJ and the debugger, I see the following when i watch the ‘this.files’ object: http://i.imgur.com/Gj6iANo.png What I would expect to see is src and dest to be the same, not dest ===‘src’ and src === undefined. So, What is it that I am missing? Is there some documentation on ‘this.files’ I can read about? I’ve tried setting the files attribute in the target to a number of other formats per grunts spec, none seem to work (for this script, ideally the src / dest would be the same, so the user would just have to enter it once, but i’m not even getting in to that right now.)     I have a .Net 2 C# application I am developing which uses a VB 6 generated COM DLL. The VB DLL is updated frequently any my application crashes with a System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80040154). The part of the COM DLL I use does not change but the version (and CLSID) will. The "Specific Version" option for the reference is false. The WrapperTool is tlbimp. How do I tell my application not to worry about changes in the DLL? Is there any way of checking just the functions I am using?

  • How to avoid coupling when using regions in Composite WPF

    I have an application designed using Microsoft's Composite Application Library. My shell has several regions defined so that I can inject content from separate modules. I'm looking for a design pattern that will reduce the coupling that these regions introduce. In all examples I have seen, regions are defined and accessed using a string in a static class in the infrastructure project.: <ItemsControl cal:RegionManager.RegionName="{x:Static inf:RegionNames.TabRegion}"> public static class RegionNames { public const string TabRegion = "TabRegion"; } This introduces an dependency on the shell from the infrastructure project, because the infrastructure project is now defining some of the shell's capabilities. The CAL RegionManager throws an exception if you attempt to access a region which is not defined, so I must ensure that the infrastructure and shell projects are kept in sync. Is there a way to isolate the shell's regions so that they are defined only within the shell (no region names in the infrastructure project)? Is there a way to make regions optional, so that shells can be swapped out even if they don't have all the same regions? What I've been wondering is: do I need to increase the size of the array dynamically, or do I need to find out the needed size at the beginning and set it right away? And also, instead of 512, the method in Mp3FileReader returns 365 the first time. Which is the size of a whole block. But I'm writing the full 512. I'm basically just using the read to check if I'm not at the end of the file yet. Do I need to catch the return value and do something with that, or am I good here?

  • Using Taylor Series to Avoid Loss of Precision

    I'm trying to use Taylor series to develop a numerically sound algorithm for solving a function. I've been at it for quite a while, but haven't had any luck yet. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. The function is f(x)=1 + x - sin(x)/ln(1+x) x~0 Also: why does loss of precision even occur in this function? when x is close to zero, sin(x)/ln(1+x) isn't even close to being the same number as x. I don't see where significance is even being lost. In order to solve this, I believe that I will need to use the Taylor expansions for sin(x) and ln(1+x), which are x - x^3/3! + x^5/5! - x^7/7! + ... and x - x^2/2 + x^3/3 - x^4/4 + ... respectfully. I have attempted to use like denominators to combine the x and sin(x)/ln(1+x) components, and even to combine all three, but nothing seems to work out correctly in the end. Any help is appreciated.

    hey folks, I'm setting up a keyword search across multiple fields: name_first, name_middle, name_last but I'm not getting the results I'd like. Here's the query: "SELECT accounts_users.user_ID, users.name_first, users.name_middle, users.name_last, users.company FROM accounts_users, users WHERE accounts_users.account_ID = '$account_ID' AND accounts_users.user_ID = users.id AND CONCAT_WS(' ', users.name_first, users.name_middle, users.name_last) LIKE '$user_keyword%' ORDER BY users.name_first ASC" So, if I've got three names in the DB: Aaron J Ban Aaron J Can Bob L Lawblaw And if the user_keyword == "bob lawblaw" I get no result. If user_keyword == "bob L" then it returns Bob L Lawblaw. Obviously I can't force people to include the persons middle name in their keyword search but I'm stuck for the proper way to do this. All help is greatly appreciated.

It is not possible to know the size of each of these vector (except the outer one) before items (doubles) are added. I can get an approximate size (upper bound) on the number of items in each "dimension". A solution with the shared pointers might be the way to go, but I would like to try a solution where the vector<vector<vector<double> > > simply has .reserve()'ed enough space (or in some other way has allocated enough memory). Will A.reserve(500) (assumming 500 is the size or, alternatively an upper bound on the size) be enough to hold "2D" vectors of large size, say [1000][10000]? The reason for my question is mainly because I cannot see any way of reasonably estimating the size of the interior of A at the time of .reserve(500). An example of my question: vector A; A.reserve(500+1); vector temp2; vector temp1 (666,666); for(int i=0;i<500;i++) { A.push_back(temp2); for(int j=0; j< 10000;j++) { A.back().push_back(temp1); } } Will this ensure that no reallocation is done for A? If temp2.reserve(100000) and temp1.reserve(1000) where added at creation will this ensure no reallocation at all will occur at all? In the above please disregard the fact that memory could be wasted due to conservative .reserve() calls. Thank you all in advance!

    I would like to load a tooltip plugin (I'm currently trying qTip, but I've tried a few and have run into the same problem each time) inside Colorbox (http://colorpowered.com/colorbox/). Colorbox dynamically loads this code to display the images you want to show in it: <div id="cboxLoadedContent" style="display: block; width: 400px; overflow: auto; height: 498px;"> <img src="image.jpg" id="cboxPhoto" style="margin: 49px auto auto; border: medium none; display: block; float: none; cursor: pointer;"> </div> Using Colorbox's event hooks, I am currently calling my tooltip plugin on onComplete, but this only applies the tooltip to the first image in the group. If you go to the next image, the tooltip needs to be recalled as Colorbox regenerates the code displayed above. What is the best way to recall the tooltip plugin? I have tried to recall the tooltip by attaching it to clicking on the div with the id "cboxNext" as a test, but it doesn't work since it takes time for cboxPhoto to load, so I think the functions generating the tooltip load before they can apply to the image.

    I have a class containing, among other things, a drop down menu. With the aim of saving space, and since the contents of the menu will never change, I've made a static DataProvider for the whole class that populates each instances menu. I was hoping to populate the list with actual functions like so: tmpArr.push({label:"Details...", funct:openDetailsMenu, args:""}); and then assign tmpArr to the DataProvider. Because the DataProvider is static the function that contains that code also needs to be static, but the functions in the array are non-static. At first it didn't seem like a problem, because when the user clicks on a menu item the drop down menu can call a non-static "executeFunction(funct, args)" on its parent. However, when I try to compile, the static function setting up the DataProvider it can't find the non-static functions being passed. If the compiler would just trust me the code would work fine! The simple solution is to just pass strings and use a switch statement to call functions based on that, but that's big, ugly, inelegant, and difficult to maintain, especially if something inherits from this class. The simpler solution is to just make the DataProvider non-static, but I'm wondering if anyone else has a good way of dealing with this? Making the static function able to see its non-static brethren? Thanks.

    I'm attempting to put the value associated with the key called "duration" into a UILabel but I'm getting a blank or "(null)" result showing up in the UILabel. My NSDictionary object with its keys seems to be logging as being full of the data and keys I think I want, as such: the content of thisRecordingsStats is { "12:48:25 AM, April 25" = { FILEPATH = "/Users/brian/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/3.1.3/Applications/97256A91-FC47-4353-AD01-15CD494060DD/Documents/12:48:25 AM, April 25.aif"; duration = "00:04"; applesCountString = 0; ...and so on. Here's the code where I'm trying to put the NSString into the UILabel: cell.durationLabel.text = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@",[thisRecordingsStats objectForKey:@"duration"]]; I've also tried these other permutations: cell.durationLabel.text = [thisRecordingsStats objectForKey:@"duration"]; and I've also tried this tag-based approach: label = (UILabel *)[cell viewWithTag:8]; label.text = [[thisRecordingsStats objectForKey:@"duration"] objectAtIndex:1]; and: UILabel *label; label = (UILabel *)[cell viewWithTag:8]; label.text = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@",[[thisRecordingsStats objectForKey:@"duration"] objectAtIndex:1]]; I've also tried creating a string from the key's paired value and see a "(null)" value or blankness using that too.     I've got a small winform application that I've written that is running fine in the IDE. It builds with no errors or warnings. It's not using any third party controls. I'm coding in C# in Visual Studio 2008. When I Build -- Publish the application, everything seems to work fine. Am I implementing the delegate method right? (Also, I had difficulty installing the YAJL stuff for the engine, and wonder if that has something to do with it)

They were working for a time, but now they have broken and I can't for the life of me figure it out. Can anybody see anything that would cause the problem here? To see what I'm talking about, if you were to click on the "About Us" link at the bottom of the page, you should see the text fade in. I have the following component with code like: [Bindable] var _model:LalModelLocator = LalModelLocator.getInstance(); .... <s:DataGroup dataProvider="{_model.friendsSearchResults}" includeIn="find" itemRenderer="com.lal.renderers.SingleFriendDisplayRenderer"> <s:layout> <s:TileLayout orientation="columns" requestedColumnCount="2" /> </s:layout> </s:DataGroup> in the model locator: [Bindable] public var friendsSearchResults:ArrayCollection = new ArrayCollection(); Inside the item renderer there is a button that calls a command and inside the command results there is a line like this: model.friendsSearchResults = friendsSearchResults; Putting break points and stepping through the code I confirmed that this like gets called and the friendsSearchResults gets updated. To my understanding if I update a bindable variable it should automatically re-render the s:DataGroup which has a dataProvider of that variable.

When compiling sslsniff on RHEL I hit the same errors when using libboost packages (from repositories like rpmforge) and compiling libboost from source (which appeared to be successful.)
