    I like the way Doxygen combines with Graphviz dot to generate function caller graphs. I'd like this functionality for other languages as well, apart from the basics that Doxygen supports (C++, C, Java, Objective-C, Python, VHDL, PHP, C#). I'm currently looking for tools that support JavaScript, ActionScript 2 and ActionScript 3/Flex. I'm also interested in tools that have a wider language support than Doxygen. Is there any way to get function caller graphs for any other languages?

  • Alpha-Beta cutoff

    I understand the basics of this search, however the beta cut-off part is confusing me, when beta <= value of alphabeta I can either return beta, break, or continue the loop. return beta doesn't seem to work properly at all, it returns the wrong players move for a different state of the board (further into the search tree) break seems to work correctly, it is very fast but it seems a bit TOO fast continue is a lot slower than break but it seems more correct...I'm guessing this is the right way but pseudocode on google all use 'break' but because this is pseudocode I'm not sure what they mean by 'break'

    Is it possible to get the page size (from e.g. a PDF document page) using GhostScript? I have seen the "bbox" device, but it returns the bounding box (it differs per page), not the TrimBox (or CropBox) of the PDF pages.     Hi, I am having a 2 instance load balanced and session replicated tomcat 6.0.20 cluster. Should sticky_session be set to true or false for in memory session replication. http://tomcat.apache.org/connectors-doc/reference/workers.html mentions : Set sticky_session to False when Tomcat is using a Session Manager which can persist session data across multiple instances of Tomcat. where as /tomcat-6.0-doc/cluster-howto.html (Cluster Basics) mentions : Make sure that your loadbalancer is configured for sticky session mode.

    I know I can use System.DirectoryServices to roll my own GAL Name/email selector control and I've seen plenty of people explaining the basics of how to do that, but surly someone knows of one that I can download from somewhere. It just seems like a waste to have to remake it when so many people need it. Something remotely similar to Outlooks GAL Select Names dialog. It could be simpler.

    Of course, by 'advanced' I mean here just something beyond what every programmer does know. I'm currently more-or-less comfortable with the basics and want to understand the most important, most elegant and most practically applicable achievements of modern type theory. I just do not have much time, desire and mental powers to study all the formalistics more thoroughly and that may change in the future.     I've been convinced that I should learn another language (primarily PHP/Javascript oriented) and decided on Java. I learned my basics of PHP, years ago, from www.w3schools.com and Javascript from another similar site (since taken down) that had a series of tutorials that took you from nothing to something. Is there a similar site for Java? Is there a recommended IDE (Eclipse?) and site to learn?
