    I want to build a list from maillog, maillog.x containing something like Date, Sender's email, Recipient's Email and subject of the message filtering output emails and output domain. I've read about importing from spreadsheet program a cvs file. The issue is I have to add field separators in log file. I couldn't find how to customize that. How can I do that, the list and the separator?     I want to develop an application which would have it's own framework, using which developer can implement functionality very easily. Developer shouldn't have to code for each and every page or report. But, he can do it very easily by just configuring it using the framework provided. Some nice examples of it is SAP and Tally. They have got their own framework, using which anybody having knowledge of it can customize or extend functionality of the product. But, as I am beginner in this direction, I don't have any idea about where to start. Can anybody point me to some design pattern which I can follow or some similar open source software which I can refer?

    How can one edit unity bar default apps within a livecd? In other words if you boot ubuntu 12.04 livecd you will see in the unity bar, firefox, libreoffice, Ubuntu software center, etc. Well I need to customize a 12.04 livecd so that upon boot you will see my own selected apps ie: chromium, ubuntu-tweak, etc. Please dont link me to remastersys or myunity or ubuntu-tweak or ccsm. No graphical applications to be used. The iso is being built via chroot meaning i need the actual file(s) location: /usr/share/unity-2d.....something along those lines.

    i allready asked this on Stackoverflow, but i think this question may belong here. In a Libgdx game i have some Animations for my Player. All the Frames for this Animation are inside a TextureAtlas. The Player Textures show a human, with a white T-Shirt. The T-Shirt is the only white part of the Player. Now i want to be able to replace the white color with red for Player1, with green for Player2 and so on. How can i do that, without loosing the advantage of the TextureAtlas (Texture switching)? Ofc 1 way would be to store 4 versions of every Frame, for 4 different Players (colors). But there are games out there, where you can fully customize the Player, give him a blue hat, red pants and pink shirts and so on. How can this be done? Thanks a lot!     i use AuroraMint as my themes. but some colors mess up my opera. when i use "gnome-appearance-properties-customize theme-Colors", i only can found input boxes' text color here. but i still want change background colors in email list (opera use GTK theme here). Gui give only 4 group colors here, so poor.     I am trying to make available on my website a voice chat for a small group of people that allows some other means to interact such as text messaging, photo sharing, file sharing, simple drawing and silly games. In other words, something similar to older MSN Messenger, but on the web. Any ideas on what to use? To clarify, I am looking for suggestions on languages and libraries to use. I want to be able to fully customize it as much as possible because I might want to add other (somewhat interesting) functions later. Low-level programming is fine if required, but platform dependency isn't that much preferred.

    I got an old PC for free, similar to that one. Additionlly, I'm a hobbyist programmer who does mainly python and java under a linux (mostly ubuntu) development environment. And now I wonder what I could do with such a piece of crappy hardware and would be pleased to get a good answer. It's one thing if you code your app that could run on almost any pc (or webbrowser) but another if you got an own hardware platform which you could extend or more generally customize the way you like. What I would like to hear from you: Are you in a similar situation? Have you already done a project like that? What would be your ideas?

  • Reload Gtk+ 3.0 theme

    I'm trying to customize my Gtk+3.0 theme, when I make a change in my theme, I change between two themes (with MyUnity) to force applications to reload the theme and test mine. But when I do that, the theme is not refreshed to appreciate my changes, still in an old version, apparently Gtk+ is caching the theme information somewhere. When I close and reopen session, I can appreciate my theme changes, but doing this for each change made is very annoying. Is there a way to refresh my theme and see my changes (a command line program or an Gtk+ API call for example)?

Currently I want to integrate WebTrends with the web pages of a local project on my local JBoss EAP application server, so that I can run it locally and see how WebTrends work, along with how the Analytics reports show up. Later on, I may customize the reports data as per the project requirements. However, I can't find anywhere how I can start working on a local development process using a DEV account access. I'm mainly trying to get data on number of user visits per day, as of now, which will cater to multichannel experience.     I am using xjc to convert a schema to java classes. When I am using mixed=true in the schema I am losing the access method for child nodes instead there is a single general content access method.
