    I need a macro to look at the list of data below, provide a number of instances it appears and sum the value of each of them. I know a pivot table or series of forumlas could work but i'm doing this for a coworker and it has to be a 'one click here' kinda deal. The data is as follows. A B Smith 200.00 Dean 100.00 Smith 100.00 Smith 50.00 Wilson 25.00 Dean 25.00 Barry 100.00 The end result would look like this Smith 3 350.00 Dean 2 125.00 Wilson 1 25.00 Barry 1 100.00 Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

  • Route all requests through PageController except existing controllers (Zend Framework)

    For a new CMS i've developed a Pages module that allows me to manage the site's tree structure. Each page is reachable from the url http://www.example.com/pageslug/ where pageslug identifies the page being called. What I want to achieve now is a route that allows me to route all incoming requests to a single PagesController unless it's a request to an existing controller (like images for example). It's easy enough to catch all requests to the Pages Controller but how to exclude existing controllers? This is my module bootstrap.   • Insert an ajaxified Webpart into an existing MOSS site

    Hi everybody, I need to code a webpart which purpose is to asynchronously fetch some documents and display them into an existing page. Unfortunately I have to face a lot of rescritcions and my struggle to find a solution seems useleess so far. 1) I cannot use Microsoft asp.net ajax 2) I must use Jsonp because the called service (page, whatever...) is outside the site's domain. That's not a big problem. 3) I have no possibility to alter the existing page code, so I cannot reference an external library such as JQuery. 4) For the same reason I have no possibility to call my methods on the window.onLoad event, so here the question is: how can I be sure that everything is correctly loaded before triggering my ajax call? 5) Since several instances of the same webpart can be placed into the same page, can there be some possible conflicts among the various js functions?

  • Create list in existing site collection from a feature

    I have created a feature, a publishing site, in Visual Studio to MOSS - this feature contains a masterpage, some page-templates, some site columns (grouped to match each page-template) and som custom list templates etc. I have also created a site collection, some sites and pages based on my feature. Now I have upgraded the code in my feature - I wanted a ListInstance to be created based on my custom list template. When I have upgraded my SharePoint (using WSPBuilder), the ListInstance and default data are visible if I create a new site collection, but existing site collection does not get the ListInstance and data. Is there anything I can do to update existing site collections to contain the ListInstance when upgrading?

    Quick Story: I started a new job where everyone funneled their questions to 'the geek'. Being an experienced developer, I can do most of my assignments without consultation with the geek - thinks such as how to select the top 10 rows in a table. Question: Is there a preferred way of handling these cases without offending the existing geek while ensuring the best solution gets implemented? My issue is the the existing geek is very young and makes a lot of mistakes, but still sounds authoritative because the other coders are just out of school and don't know better.

    I would like to find all the directories that are in a .tgz file and that already exist on the system and put the result in a bash variable. I have tried this: EXISTING=`for f in \`tar tzf $ARCHIVE\`; do if [ -d "/tmp/unpacked-data/\$f" ]; then echo \$f; fi; done` with no luck. If I echo the value of $f before the if in the loop, I get all the files, ie this works: EXISTING=`for f in \`tar tzf $ARCHIVE\`; do echo \$f; done` Can someone tell me why the \$f doesn't work in the if statement? But the problem is that, if I update the existing paid application as free application (with few features locked and user has to buy it to unlock it), what about the users who have already purchased this application. Because when they will update to new free application, few features will be locked and they have to pay again to unlock them (why should they pay, if they have already purchased whole application previously).     I have an existing Android project with the following structure: - ProjectName -- AndroidManifest.xml -- local.properties -- project.properties -- assets -- libs (containing all jars) -- modules (containing all library projects my project depends on) -- res -- src ---- com/namespace/projectname (all my classes including main activity are here) I haven't been using any specific build system to build my project other than the one provided by default with the Android Studio IDE (though the project was originally created with IntelliJ CE. I would like to use Gradle with the android plugin and do some work on my build process. I have tried several configurations in order to achieve this and have failed to complete a successful build every time. What's the recommended approach in this scenario? should I change my project structure? or is it possible to configure gradle using the existing structure? Any help would be greatly appreciated.     Hey Guys, I created a second profile to my Analytics account to track SEO keywords. This is a second profile for my existing working domain. It has been 4 days and I still do not see any traffic on this secondary profile. The profile shows a Staus of "Unknown". But I do not see a way to validate it like you have to when you create your first profile and this should not be necessary for a profile to my existing domain. Any ideas what I am missing? Thanks!

    I've got a collection of files that formerly lived in a Subversion repo; on my new server I've imported them into a git repo so I could start getting more experience with that. On several other machines, I've got mostly up-to-date copies of the existing svn repo files. Is there any way to sync to the new git repo, but use these existing files so I don't have to re-transfer all of the data? Is git smart enough that if I do a fetch? or checkout? that it'll notice the files are identical and not re-transfer them?

  • choose append to existing backup instead of overwrite

    Hello, I have a database and I made it's first backup 2 days ago. Then yesterday I spent an entire adding new records. This morning I ran a backup, (but I selected append to existing backup set) as pictured below. I just ran a restore and I found that it wiped out all my data from yesterday and it restored it from the backup of 2 days ago. Not the version from this mornings backup. I zipped this backup file to be safe. I changed some data in the DB, Then I ran the back up again, but this time I selected "overwrite all existing backup sets" Now when I restore the db it's seems to restore the data from the backup correctly. I think I learned a lesson here, correctly if I'm wrong My questions is, Did I lose an entire day of work? I still have this morning's backup .bak file safe in a zip. Is there anyway I can restore is with the right data?

    Hi, Im currently looking at migrating from fluent nHibernate to ADO.Net Entity Framework 4. I have a project containing the domain model (pocos) which I was using for nHibernate mappings. Ive read in blogs that it is possible to use my existing domain model with EF4 but ive seen no examples of it. Ive seen examples of T4 code generation with EF4 but havent come accross an example which shows how to use existing domain model objects with EF4. Im a newby with EF4 and would like to see some samples on how to get this done. Thanks Aiyaz
