    Not sure why. I grabbed the code from: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/ And as stated there, we can read: "href - the URL to like. The XFBML version defaults to the current page.   • Methodology to understanding JQuery plugin & API's developed by third parties

    I have a question about third party created JQuery plug ins and API's and the methodology for understanding them. Recently I downloaded the JQuery Masonry/Infinite scroll plug in and I couldn't figure out how to configure it based on the instructions. So I downloaded a fully developed demo, then manually deleted everything that wouldn't break the functionality. The code that was left allowed me to understand the plug in much greater detail than the documentation. I'm now having a similar issue with a plug in called JQuery knob. http://anthonyterrien.com/knob/ If you look at the JQuery Knob readme file it says this is working code: $(function() { $('.dial') .trigger( 'configure', { "min":10, "max":40, "fgColor":"#FF0000", "skin":"tron", "cursor":true } ); }); But as far as I can tell it isn't at all. The read me also says the Plug in uses Canvas. I am wondering if I am suppose to wrap this code in a canvas context or if this functionality is already part of the plug in. I know this kind of "question" might not fit in here but I'm a bit confused on the assumptions around reading these kinds of documentation and thought I would post the query regardless. Curious to see if this is due to my "newbi" programming experience or if this is something seasoned coders also fight with. Thank you. Edit In response to Tyanna's reply. I modified the code and it still doesn't work. I posted it below.     I have VS2010 Ultimate on my dev machine, along with ReSharper, VSCommands2010 and few others. settings for vs2010, resharper, and other plugins get reset every once in a while - so i have to go in and set them up again, then restart VS for new settings to kick in. examples of settings i'm talking about: *resharper intellisense ingreation *resharper highlite current line *resharper participation in customer program (systray icon) *VSCommands2010 regex solution name *etc. is it possible to make VS remember all those settings once and forever.

    Pre: I'm new with Maven. I used a lot of ant before. Qst: I decided to switch my project to maven since there are a lot of dependencies. But I have custom step in package phase (I'm BB dev - packing and signing) which is not available in maven yet. To process these tasks I have to download additional execs/jars. Is it common/have sense in Maven philosophy to load additional tools? Sure I could call ant from maven but it's not a question. Any helpful book about maven phases, philosophy and uses?

  • MediaWiki plugin for dynamic content via forms

    Are there any plugins for MediaWiki that would allow me to create a page that has a form at the top that when filled in populates tags further down in the document? Say someone would put a form with "Source Server:" and "Destination Server:" fields at the top. Once those were typed in it would automatically populate those names into the content lower so that when following the instructions you could just read the docs and not have to mentally replace things, and possibly mess it all up. I'm not looking to make pages that are permanent, just ones that can have values entered before they are followed. Any suggestions?

The one is from Sun: http://jaxb.dev.java.net/jaxb-maven2-plugin/ the other from Mojo: http://mojo.codehaus.org/jaxb2-maven-plugin/ Has anybody experience with these two plugins, and give a recommendation?     I have created a google-app-engine java project in Eclipse using Google's Eclipse plugin. My previous attempt to deploy failed. Now, when I retry, I get the following message: Unable to update app: Error posting to URL : http://appengine.google.com/api/appversion/create?app_id=mybdaywisherversion=1 409 conflict Another transaction for this user is already in progress for this app and major version. That user can undo the transaction with appcfg.py's "rollback" command. Now, I have always used the google-app-engine features from inside Eclipse only and have not a clue how to run the appcfg.py command. Could not get much help from documentation available over the internet. The only thing I could make out was for mac (I'm on mac), the command to be used is appcfg.sh. Inside Eclipse, I looked where App-Engine SDK is located on my machine and went to that location. Even found appcfg.sh there. But when I try to run it, it only reports the error "command not found". Tried various alternatives to run it (like tried running it with sudo, tried running it as ./appcfg.sh by going to whether its located) but no success Can someone please tell me the step I will have to follow to run the apcfg command?

  • How do I install Flash Player 11 debug version in 11.10?

    I want to replace my existing browser plugin Flash Player with the debug version, and update to FP11 while I'm at it. I also want to install the debug version of the projector player and make it the default player for SWF files outside of the browser. First the browser plugin version. I've downloaded the installer from the official site, but I'm not sure what to do with the contents. There is a usr folder, and I presume that I am to write the contents of this to /usr. There is also a file called libflashplayer.so, and I have no idea what to do with that. For download for the projector player has confused me further because it only contains one file: flashplayerdebugger. I don't know what to do with this. If there is a way to install these softwares through apt-get or the Software Center I would love to hear about it, I have only found solutions for the standard player, but otherwise could someone please tell me what to do with these files? Update Ok, so I've figured out that if I dump the flashplayerdebugger file into /usr/lib/ I can point Eclipse at it and compile and test SWFs as expected from inside Eclipse. But how can I set that application as the default player when I select an SWF in Nautilus?

  • Where to install JDBC drivers in Hyperic Server

    I have installed Hyperic Server 4.4.0 and I want to use an SQL plugin that connects to an Oracle database. To make this work on the Agent i had to download a JDBC driver for Oracle and put it in [agent-dir]/bundles/[bundle-dir]/pdk/lib. I can now run my plugin on the agent using java -jar hq-products.jar .... Now I want to add it so that it shows up in the server hq. I put the plugin in the appropriate directory and I can add it as a platform service. However, when i try to configure the plugin I get the following error: No suitable driver found for jdbc:oracle:thin:@blah.blah:blah:blah This is the same error I got on the client before I added the Oracle JDBC driver, so I assume that's the problem here too. But where do I put the JDBC drivers on the server?

  • Chrome will not load a web page with an <embed> element

It plays in IE, but not in Firefox or Chrome. My problem: Chrome reports "Could not load VLC Plugin". It seems to be a known problem that the VLC community don't necessarily feel like fixing at the moment, and is a result of Google choosing not to allow some certain kind of plugin. If I disable the plugin I no longer get the message but nothing happens when I click the button. Looking at the console in a debug window I see Uncaught TypeError: undefined is not a function Sound.html:7 PlaySound Sound.html:7 onclick which suggests Chrome could not find anything else to handle the sound file. How to I tell Chrome to use (e.g.) Windows Media Player? * UPDATE * This is apparently because the VLC plugin is a NPAPI plugin and Chrome no longer supports these. I have uninstalled VLC and this has removed the error on loading the webpage with an embedded sound element, but it still doesn't invoke WMP instead.

  • cakephp routing problem, plugin routing works but not others

    I'm having a strange routing problem with a site I just uploaded, and I've made a number of changes to test what's happening. It doesn't make any sense. My setup is: - I'm using one plugin, which I've included all the routing in the routes.php file. - I've also included the routes for two other controllers, 'events' and 'updates' they look like this: Router::connect('/login', array('plugin' = 'pippoacl', 'controller' = 'users', 'action' = 'login')); Router::connect('/logout', array('plugin' = 'pippoacl', 'controller' = 'users', 'action' = 'logout')); Router::connect( '/events/', array( 'controller' = 'events', 'action' = 'index')); Router::connect('/updates', array('controller' = 'updates', 'action' = 'index')); What happens when I try to get to 'events' is that I get an error message saying: "Not Found Error: The requested address '/Events' was not found on this server." I've checked the database and it's accessible, through the plugin's model/controller/view. I've also made sure the model/controllers for 'events' and 'updates' are there. Can anyone tell me how to trouble shoot this? Thanks, Paul

  • How to extend an 'unloadable' Rails plugin?

    I'm trying to write a plugin that will extend InheritedResources. Specifically I want to rewrite some default helpers. And I'd like it to "just work" once installed, w/o any changes to application code. The functionality is provided in a module which needs to be included in a right place. The question is where? :) The first attempt was to do it in my plugin's init.rb: InheritedResources::Base.send :include, MyModule It works in production, but fails miserably in development since InheritedResource::Base declared as unloadable and so its code is reloaded on each request. So my module is there for the first request, and then its gone. InheritedResource::Base is 'pulled' in again by any controller that uses it: Class SomeController < InheritedResource::Base But no code is 'pulling in' my extension module since it is not referenced anywhere except init.rb which is not re-loaded on each request So right now I'm just including the module manually in every controller that needs it which sucks. I can't even include it once in ApplicationController because InheritedResources inherites from it and so it will override any changes back. update I'm not looking for advice on how to 'monkey patch'. The extension is working in production just great. my problem is how to catch moment exactly after InheritedResources loaded to stick my extension into it :) update2 another attempt at clarification: the sequence of events is a) rails loads plugins. my plugin loads after inherited_resources and patches it. b) a development mode request is served and works c) rails unloads all the 'unloadable' code which includes all application code and also inherited_resources d) another request comes in e) rails loads controller, which inherites from inherited resources f) rails loads inherited resources which inherit from application_controller g) rails loads application_contrller (or may be its already loaded at this stage, not sure) g) request fails as no-one loaded my plugin to patch inherited_resources. plugin init.rb files are not reloaded I need to catch the point in time between g and h
