• Failed Administrator login on WSO2 IS with external OpenLDAP

  I have an installation of WSO2 Identity Server and I'm trying to make it work with an external OpenLDAP instance I have followed this guide: http://wso2.org/project/solutions/identity/3.2.3/docs/user-core/admin_guide.html#LDAP For the read-only mode.   So my program works like this: using winforms, user enters ID number, using an array, based on the right id number, that student information and class schedule outputs in a message box! My question is how to take the 4 classes in the message box/array and write them to the linklabel text in form 2???? • "net time" returns system error 5, "Access is denied", even when run as administrator

  I am trying to run net time on a Windows 7 box with an account that is part of the Administrators group. When I run the command net time from an elevated command prompt I get the following error: System error 5 has occurred. Access is denied. Why is this happening? I've looked at this Microsoft Knowledge Base article and have gone through the steps. Both the computer and the DC are connected to the same NTP server and I've verified they're synced I'm working on a local account so there should be no permissions issues There is no local firewall running

• Need to make a scheduled task run as another user but keep the current user’s environment

  I need to backup users .pst files. The current method I am trying is making a shadow copy using Diskshadow. My script works great all but Diskshadow needs to be ran as administrator but also needs to retain the logged-on user's environment variables; specifically, the %USERNAME% and %HOMESHARE% variables so the right user’s files get copied up to the right network location. I have for the most part got this to work), but there’s no straightforward (or secure, at least) way to pass the password. If I set up a scheduled task to run the script as a domain user with local admin privs, the environment variables get lost. I need to run this script automagically so that there should be no user interaction. If I could figure out how to make a scheduled task run as another user but keep the current user’s environment, I think this would work, but I’ve been beating my head against that for a while now, without any luck.

  We recently deployed ESET NOD32 Antivirus on our small domain network and use the Remote Adminstrator to manage everything remotely. On a recent full system scan, one of the clients shows 10 infected files of which 4 have been cleaned in the scan log. The strange thing, however, is that the threat log is empty. I know this can be done through the scan log properties screen, but with 958790 files scanned, I obviously do not want to browse through this list. Any help is appreciated.

  Trying to access an old laptop I have but at the windows login screen I attempt to log in and get the message "Unable to log in because is unavailable". This laptop is not on a domain or a network and I do not know the computer name. I have blanked the passwords of the local administrator and user account using Offline NT Password and Registry Editor but still unable to log in?   I have a Windows 7 (32-bit) box with 2 users, both admins (my wife and I are both developers). My admin account was created during Windows setup, hers was created later. Both accounts are in the same groups, yet we have VERY different permissions. In the beta and RC, both accounts worked identically (RC to RTM was a fresh install on this box, not an upgrade). I have a C:\bin folder with the sysinternals utilities and a bunch of other stuff. Running anything in there or in system32 just works on my account, on hers I get access denied errors (cannot access file or path). If I right click and try Run As Administrator, I still get the same thing!!!

  If I know the Administrator account name and password on a Windows 7 computer, would it be possible to create an Office 2010 install CD that would "silently" install Office 2010 on a standard user account which does not have installation privileges. As in, the group policy "always install with elevated privileges" is in effect for the user. Some way to built the admin account privileges into the office installer? VBS Script? CMD?   My current problem is that my Window 7 system drive is unstable. I would like to try to clone this drive to the same type of disk (OCZ Vertex 2 120GB to OCZ Vertex 2 120GB) and replace the system drive with created clone. My installation doesn't have ProgramData and User profiles on the system drive. Later on (after warranty replacement of problematic drive), I would like to copy ProgramData and User profiles to different disk (Samsung SpinPoint 750GB to OCZ Vertex 2 120GB) and use the new disk instead. Note: data have only few GBs so there should not be any problem with the disk size. Is it possible? What is the best way to do that? Is it better to simply reinstall the system from scratch (I would like to avoid it)?

• How to write code that communicates with an accelerator in the real address space (real mode)?

  This is a preliminary question for the issue, where I was asked to program a host-accelerator program on an embedded system we are building. The system is comprised of (among the standard peripherals) an ARM core and an accelerator processor. Both processors access the system bus via their bus interfaces, and share the same 32-bit global physical memory space. Both share access to the system's DRAM through the system bus. (The computer concept is similar to Beagleboard/raspberry Pie, but with a specialized accelerator added) The accelerator has its own internal memory (SRAM) which is exposed to the system and occupies a portion of the global address space (as opposed to how a graphics card would talk to teh CPU via a "small" aperture in the system memory space). On the ARM core (the host) we plan on running Ubuntu 12.04. The mode of operation of communicating between the processors should be that the host issues memory transactions on the system bus that are targeted at the accelerator internal memory. As far as my understanding goes, if I write a program for the host that simply writes to the physical address of the accelerator, most chances are that the program will crash due to a segmentation violation. So, I assume that I need some way of communicating with the device in real mode. What is the easiest way to achieve this mode of operation?

• ORA-01019 error only as an administrator

  I'm having a strange problem. I've installed the Oracle 10g client on a terminal server running Windows Server 2008R2. When I try to connect to Oracle, using, say, Toad, I receive the error "ORA-01019 unable to allocate memory in the user side". But this only happens if I'm logged in as an administrator. If I connect as a normal user, I can connect without issue. Also -- if a normal user is connected, I can then connect without a problem as an administrator. Any thoughts?

Example: I have a data table with four columns and 5700 rows it took ~5 mins to insert the data into the database table However, I wrote my own database connection and insert methods using parameters and a single transaction and the same 5700 rows were inserted in under 1 second.
