• Can't connect to samba

  Windows 7, connecting to Samba shares I have a follow up question from the link above. I am running Samba 3.0.23d on FreeBSD is release 7.1 I changed the policies as described above but still cannot connect to the samba server with the windows 7 or a server 2008. I feel it is a problem with recognizing the new machines on the network. the windows machines can see the samba server, but cannot connect to it or view any of the files. After changing the security policies the samba server asked for network id and password but would not allow the machine to connect, said they were unknown username or bad password. Here is my current config file. there is no sign of encryption anywhere, should I just add the line? not sure what that would do elsewhere.   I would like to get a list of Active Directory users along with the security groups they are members of using SQL Server 2005 linked servers. I have the query working to retrieve records but I'm not sure how to access the memberOf attribute (it is a multi-value LDAP attribute). I have this temporary to store the information: DROP TABLE #ADUSERGROUPS CREATE TABLE #ADUSERGROUPS ( sAMAccountName varchar(30), UserGroup varchar(50) ) Each group/user association should be one row.   I'm trying to strip content titles out of the middle of text strings. Could I use regex to strip everything out of this string except for the title (in italics) in these strings? Or is there a better way? Joe User wrote a blog post called The 10 Best Regex Expressions in the category Regex. Jane User wrote a blog post called Regex is Hard! in the category TechProblems. I've tried to come up with a regex expression to cover this, but I think it might need two. The trick is that the text in bold is always the same, so you could search for that, like this: regex: delete everything before and including wrote a blog post called regex: delete in the category and everything after it.

I have added all style and properties in there. so eg. dim td as htmltablecell td.style.add("width","100px") td.style.add("color","blue") now what i want to do is add the tag to each row. this is because the first td of every row is a checkbox. and then textboxes follow.   I was looking for a way to create hard links under Windows and I found this page: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc788097.aspx To try it out, I created a file (1.txt) on the root of my C: drive with 100 lines of the following content: C:\1.txt (2.598 bytes): test test test test test Then I open the command prompt and type: fsutil hardlink create C:\2.txt C:\1.txt Success, 2.txt was created but when I go to see it's size it has exactly 2.598 bytes and also noticed some strange behaviours (as far as my understanding of hard links goes): If I delete 2.txt (the hard linked file) 1.txt is not deleted, and vice-versa. If I open 2.txt after I delete 1.txt (the original file) the content is still the same. How does the fsutil hardlink create command differs from the copy command? And how can I create a true hard link under Windows? I'm using Windows XP SP 3, and my file system is NTFS.

  Here's the gist of the problem: I have a set of rows of data with (say) field1 to field4 in them. I'm using a GroupingCollection to group on field1 and field2. So, I have something like this: f1.1 f2.1 f3.1 f4.1 f3.2 f4.2 f2.2 f3.3 f4.3 f3.4 f4.4 f3.5 f4.5 f1.2 f2.1 f3.6 f4.6 f2.2 f3.7 f4.7 f3.8 f4.8 f3.9 f4.9 (or at least, I hope that's clear enough) I need to calculate some derived values for each leaf row, for example f3, that is the ratio of f3 to the average of all f3 in that particular part of the tree. So, for f3.7 I need to calculate f3.7 / avg(f3.7..f3.9) and fill that into the f3_index property on the row, displaying that in lieu of f3 itself. So, basically, what it looks like I have to do is add source field values in the summarizeFunction implementation. It seems to me that there must be a better way of doing this. Is there?

  Anyone know if its possible to enable horizontal scrolling ONLY in a windows forms listview (viewmode set to large icons). What I want to do is make a listview whose height is sufficient to only show one row of icons, and I don't want to have multiple rows. Just one very long row that a user would have to scroll horizontally to get to out-of-range icons. If I make the listview scrollable then it automatically makes multiple rows and puts in a vertical scrollbar, which I don't want. Thanks in advance!

In other words, without adding x:Class to the top of Generic.xaml and thus creating a code-behind file for it, which I assume you wouldn't want to do, how do you handle events for elements in your xaml that don't have a Command property (which is just about everything other than a Button)? Should LooklessControl have it's own XAML file (much like what you get when you create a new UserControl) associated with it that Generic.xaml just pulls in as a MergedDictionar as its default template? Or is there some other acknowledged way to do what I'm trying to do?

Because if I delete it, the code that call this method cannot use the IQueryable (perhaps because of deferred execution?). How to force immediate execution to this method?   Hello friends, I have a formview on my aspx page containing various controls arranged using table. There is a DDL "cboClients" which i need to enable or disabled depending upon role within Edit mode. The problem here is that i am not able to get that control using FindControl() method.   Hi, I have a m x n matrix where each row consists of zeros and same values for each row. an example would be: M = -0.6 1.8 -2.3 0 0 0; 0 0 0 3.4 -3.8 -4.3; -0.6 0 0 3.4 0 0 In this example the first column consists of 0s and -0.6, second 0 and 1.8, third -2.3 and so on. In such case I would like to reduce m to 1 (get a vector from a given matrix) so in this example a vector would be (-0.6 1.8 -2.3 3.4 -3.8 -4.3) Does anyone know what is the best way to get a vector from such matrix? • asp.net InsertCommand to return latest insert ID

  Dear all, I'm unable to retrieve the latest inserted id from my SQL Server 2000 db using a typed dataset in asp.NET I have created a tableadapter and I ticked the "Refresh datatable" and "Generate Insert, Update and Delete statements". This auto-generates the Fill and GetData methods, and the Insert, Update, Select and Delete statements. I have tried every possible solution in this thread http://forums.asp.net/t/990365.aspx but I'm still unsuccesfull, it always returns 1(=number of affected rows). I do not want to create a seperate insert method as the auto-generated insertCommand perfectly suits my needs. As suggested in the thread above, I have tried to update the InsertCommand SQL syntax to add SELECT SCOPY_IDENTITY() or something similar, I have tried to add a parameter of type ReturnValue, but all I get is the number of affected rows. Does anyone has a different take on this? Thanks in advance! Stijn

  I am using a DataGrid object from the WPF toolkit. I am binding the DataGrid object to the default view of a DataTable instance as declared in the following code: WeatherGrid.ItemsSource = weatherDataTable.DefaultView; weatherDataTable has three columns. The first column is defined to contain a string data type. The other two columns are defined to contain double data types. When the application exits the function that calls the binding as expressed in the declaration, The DataGrid object displays data for the first column, but not the other columns. When I type the following in the immediate window in the debugger: ((DataRowView)WeatherGrid.Items[0]).Row[1] I get a number, but this doesn't correspond with what is being displayed. Why is only the first column visible, and how can I get all of the data to be visible? • Having Many Problems with Jquery UI 1.8.1 Dialog.js

  Hi I been using the jquery ui for quite a while now. This is the first time using 1.8 though and I am not sure why but it seems to me this plugin has taken steps backwards. I never had so much difficulty to use the Jquery UI as I am having now. First the documentation is out of date. Dependencies * UI Core * UI Draggable (Optional) * UI Resizable (Optional) After line 20mins of trying and getting error after error (like dialog is not a function) I realized that you need some other javascript file called "widget.js" So now I have Jquery 1.4.2.js UI Core.js UI Widget.js UI Dialog.js all on my page. I then did something like this $('#Delete').click(function () { var dialogId = "DeleteDialogBox"; var createdDialog = MakeDialogBox(dialogId, "Delete Conformation"); $('#tabConent').after(createdDialog); dialogId = String.format('#{0}', dialogId); $(dialogId).dialog({ resizable: true, height: 500, width: 500, modal: true, buttons: { 'Delete all items': function() { $(this).dialog('close'); }, Cancel: function() { $(this).dialog('close'); } } }); }); function MakeDialogBox(id, title) { var dialog = String.format('<div id="{0}" title="{1}"></div>', id, title); return dialog; } Now what this should be doing is it makes a where the dialog box should go. After that it should put it right after my tabs. So when watching it with firebug it does this. However once does the .dialog() method it moves the + all the stuff it generates and puts it after my footer. So now I have my dialog box under my footer tucked away in the bottom right hand corner. I want it dead in the center. In previous versions I don't think it mattered where the dialog code was on your page it would always be dead center. So what am I missing? The center.js(I don't know if this exists but seems like you need 100 javascript files now to get this to work proper).
