  Hi there, Im trying to get the amount of elements in an array using the count() function, the result is a bit puzzling to me, considere the following example. Assume that the user ID provided is wrong, and therefore had no matches, wouldnt then the result of the count function be 0? yet it is 1. can you explain to me why? thanks $q = mysql_query("select password from users where user_name = '" . $userID .   Hi, I have a html page with all images and other text. Below i have the contact form. i am new to php. I have used php to send mail. But when i click on send button,it is going to backend.php. And i have a blank page. What i need is it should in the same page. I have done some javascript to show and hide div's. With this i am showing a thank u msg in the same page. But i dont want to redirect browser to show it is going to backend.php.TO be in the same page i have redirected php to another window.   So in class we get this school task where we need to check if one of the fields in unfilled and display an error. No we did this but for some strange reason it doesnt display a error when a radio button is unchecked. (textfield null check works fine) I've tried with a friend many possabilities but they all doesnt seem to work. We have been stuck at this task for 2 hours.   Hello- I am a newbie in Bash and I am doing some string manipulation. I have the following file among other files in my directory: jdk-6u20-solaris-i586.sh I am doing the following to get jdk-6u20 in my script: myvar=`ls -la | awk '{print $9}' | egrep "i586" | cut -c1-8` echo $myvar but now I want to convert jdk-6u20 to jdk1.6.0_20. I can't seem to figure out how to do it. It must be as generic as possible. For example if I had jdk-6u25, I should be able to convert it at the same way to jdk1.6.0_25 so on and so forth Any suggestions?

• Error comparing hash to hashed mysql password (output values are equal)

  Im trying to compare a hashed password value in a mysql database with the hashed value of an inputted password from a login form. However, when I compare the two values it says they aren't equal. When I load this settings file, I can use the variables defined in settings.php in the script itself, but not within any functions I define in it.   I'm trying to figure out a way to display custom text based on the users selection of the variable product. The attribute is 'pricing' and the tag is deposit - which I've added a text description to when adding the attribute. • Changing the way widgets are rendered/displayed in a form on the template

  I have a form with a few other embedded forms and some various widgets. The widgets are all saved in an array $form['elements'] and for some of them, I want to display labels and things, but for others I only want to display the basic rendering. foreach($form['elements'] as $elem) echo $elem->render(); this displays everything about the widget. The way it is right now, I couldn't for example call $elem['..'] because the different subforms appear in a random order and have different variable names. I assume I could still put some checks in the template, but it seems easier to fix this in the widget class, like override one of the render functions or something. How would I go about doing this or do you have any links that could help me understand how do do this? on a side note, one of my widgets is the sfWidgetFormChoice and I have no clue where it actually renders or how renderer_classes work

Before submitting the form I want to check the database and see if there are any fields in the column 'customerid' that equal 'userid' and if so not to post the form. Basically, I am trying to limit my users from posting more than once. Users will be able to login to my system and make ONE post. They will be able to delete and modify their post but are only limited to one post. How would I do this???
