  • OSGi bundle imports packages from non-bundle jars: create bundles for them?

    I am new to OSGi, and am using Equinox. I have done several searches and can find no answer to this. The discussion at OSGI - handling 3rd party JARs required by a bundle helps somewhat, but does not fully answer my question. I have obtained a jar file, rabbitmq-client.jar, that is already packaged as an OSGi bundle (with Bundle-Name and other such properties in its MANIFEST.MF), that I would like to install as a bundle. This jar imports packages org.apache.commons.io and org.apache.commons.io.input from commons-io-1.2.jar. The RabbitMQ client 2.7.1 distribution also includes commons-cli-1.1.jar, so I presume that it is required as well. I examined the manifests of these commons jars and found that they do not appear to be packaged as bundles. That is, their manifests have none of the standard bundle properties. My specific question is: if I install rabbitmq-client.jar as a bundle, what is the proper way to get access to the packages that it needs to import from the commons jars? There are only three alternatives that I can think of, without rebuilding rabbitmq-client.jar. The packages from the commons jars are already included in the Equinox global classpath, and rabbitmq-client.jar will get them automatically from there. I must make another bundle with the two commons jars, export the needed packages, and install that bundle in Equinox. I must put these two commons jars in the global classpath when I start Equinox, and they will be available to rabbitmq-client.jar from there. I have read that one normally does not use the global classpath in an OSGi container. I am not clear on whether items from the global classpath are even available when building individual bundle classpaths. However, I note that rabbitmq-client.jar also imports other packages such as javax.net, which I presume come from the global classpath. Or is there some other bundle that exports them?   • How to Create the Upload File for Application Loader?

    When I use Application Loader, I get to the point where it asks me to "Choose..." the file to be uploaded. If I understand correctly, it supposes to be the appName.app file I see under "Products" on my app bundle (I right click it and select "Show in Finder" to get to the specific file in library; then I'm supposed to ZIP it and the ZIP file is what I will choose in Application Loader). First, am I correct with this assumption? if yes... What should I define different in XCode than the way I used to build the application for testing (on simulator and on my personal iPhone)? Should I change the Info---Command-line build use from Debug to Release? How should I define the Build Settings---Code Signing section (in which field should I select the "iPhone Developer" option and in which should it be "iPhone Distribution")? Are there any other important Info/Build Settings/p.list/etc... fields I should relate to? any help will be appreciated...

  • Why does using cons to create a pair of two lists produce a list and two elements?

    I've started learning Scheme, for fun mostly, and because I've never used a functional language before. I chose Scheme because I wanted to read SICP for a long time. Anyway, I'm currently learning about lists, and before that I learned about cons, car and cdr. And there's an example that creates a list of lists with cons, like this : (cons (list 1 2) (list 3 4)) The resulting list is ((1 2) 3 4), which doesn't make sense to me, I would expect ((1 2)(3 4)) to be the result (a list made out of two lists). Why does it behave like that? I realize that if I were to use car, I would get (1 2), and cdr I'd get (3 4) becaue cdr always returns "the rest", but I don't understand why the list isn't made of two lists?

  • Why can't I create an abstract constructor on an abstract C# class?

    I am creating an abstract class. I want each of my derived classes to be forced to implement a specific signature of constructor. As such, I did what I would have done has I wanted to force them to implement a method, I made an abstract one. public abstract class A { abstract A(int a, int b); } However I get a message saying the abstract modifier is invalid on this item. My goal was to force some code like this. public class B : A { public B(int a, int b) : base(a, b) { //Some other awesome code. } } This is all C# .NET code. Can anyone help me out? Update 1 I wanted to add some things. What I ended up with was this. private A() { } protected A(int a, int b) { //Code } That does what some folks are saying, default is private, and the class needs to implement a constructor. However that doesn't FORCE a constructor with the signature A(int a, int b). public abstract class A { protected abstract A(int a, int b) { } } Update 2 I should be clear, to work around this I made my default constructor private, and my other constructor protected. I am not really looking for a way to make my code work. I took care of that. I am looking to understand why C# does not let you do this.

  • Is it possible to create a Mono bundle that includes WPF libraries?

    I know WPF libraries aren´t implemented by mono class library, however(as far as I know) the mono 2.6 runtime is fully compatible with the .NET 2.0/3.5 runtime, so if the WPF libraries only make PInvoke calls to windows api it is theoretically possible to run a wpf application on windows using the mono runtime. The reason for wanting that is deploying a wpf application as a standalone executable for windows. Has anyone tried something like that before? If so, what were the results?

    I am using jdbc to connect to a postgresql database in a java application (actually the app is written in Groovy). I have postgresql set up to use the 'trust' authentication method. Is it possible to open a jdbc connection without specifying a password?     Hi, I have made some code that creates a red border around an image when the user click on to highlite thats the choesen one. But I want to erase previous or all border with a white border around all images before a new click is made on another image. My question is how do I activate a call to a function when a click is made and how would a function look in jQuery? I just whant to use the .css to change the border in perhaps a loop and change the id of the images? Can I mix common javascript with jQuery, or should it only be pure jQuery code in a script?   • Can you create folders to organize web sites in IIS7?

    I've been searching through this website and have seen multiple references to time deltas, but haven't quite found what I'm looking for. Basically, I have a list of messages that are received by a comms server and I want to calcuate the latency time between each message out and in. It looks like this: 161336.934072 - TMsg out: [O] enter order. RefID [123] OrdID [4568] 161336.934159 - TMsg in: [A] accepted. ordID [456] RefNumber [123] Mixed in with these messages are other messages as well, however, I only want to capture the difference between the Out messages and in messages with the same RefID. So far, to sort out from the main log which messages are Tmessages I've been doing this, but it's really inefficient. I don't need to be making new files everytime.: big_file = open('C:/Users/kdalton/Documents/Minicomm.txt', 'r') small_file1 = open('small_file1.txt', 'w') for line in big_file: if 'T' in line: small_file1.write(line) big_file.close() small_file1.close() How do I calculate the time deltas between the two messages and sort out these messages from the main log?

EDIT: The Error is: undefined method `base_class' for String:Class with params being: "speaker"=>{"speakable"=>"1063885469", "session_id"=>"1007692731"} The value passed to speakable is the id of the Speaker/Company. Yes, this is the value I specified the collection_select to return, but how can I manage to supply both values (speakable_id and speakable_type) ?

    I have a function that takes a pointer to a superclass and performs operations on it. However, at some point, the function must make a deep copy of the inputted object. Is there any way I can perform such a copy? It occurred to me to make the function a template function and simply have the user pass the type, but I hold out hope that C++ offers a more elegant solution.

  • How can I create an Assembly program WITHOUT using libraries?

    Hello. I've literally only just started looking to learn Assembly language. I'm using the NASM assembler on Windows Vista. Usually, when I begin to learn a new language, I'll copy someone else's Hello World code and try to understand it line-by-line. However, I'm finding it suprisingy difficult to find a Hello World program that doesn't reference other libraries! You see, there's no point trying to understand each line of the code if it is closely linked with a whole library of additional code! One of the reasons I want to learn Assembly is so that I can have near complete control over the programs I write. I don't want to be depending on any libraries. And so my question is this: Can anyone give me NASM-compatible Assembly code to a completely stand-alone Hello World program that can output to the Windows Vista console? Alternatively, I appreciate that a library may be required to tell the pogram WHERE to print the output (ie. the Windows console). Other than that, I can't see why any libraries should be required. Am I overlooking anything?

Each of the created divs need to have a unique ID so I can access them specifically (at the moment, all my divs have the same ID specified in html so whenever I try to access a specific div it just finds the first one). This is the version that I currently have (multiple 'rowBox'es are not discernible). <% @customers.each do |customer| %> <div id="customer" class="rowBox"> ... </div> <% end %> I would like to be able to do something like: <% @customers.each do |customer| %> <div id="box<%=customer.id%>"> ... </div> <% end %> This doesn't seem to work. Any ideas on how to accomplish this?
