Can I use this backup to restore my dual boot pc back in shape. If the mbr is destroyed/damaged? Can I use this backup to restore my os and applications on the same machine if the machine's hard drive is reformatted?

• Burn 24/96 flac files to play on standalone player

  I have vinyl record rip in 24/96 flac format. Each track is almost 200 MB big, so the album won't fit on CD. How to burn these files on a DVD to play with the same quality on standalone DVD player? My player supports SACD, DVD Audio and DVD video as well. My OS is Ubuntu Lucid (preferred), but I have also WinXp with Nero installed. BTW, is there any difference between DVD+ and DVD- for audio?

• Is it possible to boot from a passthrough lsi2008 under esxi?

  I currently have Solaris 11 Express running on bare metal. I'd like to convert the machine to an ESXI host and run the existing os as a virtual machine. I have ESXI setup, the virtual machine made, if I boot the vm from the recovery disk the drives and lsi2008 controller is visible. Everything looks like it should work, but the vm bios does not seem to try and boot from the controller. Is this just impossible?

  I have a Lenovo T500 laptop with an Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100 AGN I have Win 7 Enterprise installed as the OS Inside that Win 7 install, I have installed VmWare Workstation (8.0.0 build-471780) Inside the VmWare, I have installed BackTrack 5 (BT5r1-GNOME-64) Under the VmWare settings, I have Bridged Mode Enabled for the Network Adapter In BT5r1-GNOME-64, under the Wicd Network Manager, it says "No wireless networks found" What do I fix so that it can find the wireless networks? Is the issue with BackTrack, VmWare, etc.?

  I saw some answers to this question however they were fairly old (at least 2 years) and primarily for Vista or previous Windows OS versions. My question is this: Is there a program that allows a single Windows 7 computer to have multiple users (2 needed) and allow for two mice and two keyboards on two screens.   Why would BitDefender Bootable Rescue CD (and loads of other Rescue CDs too) be able to identify but unable to fix or delete malware? It can however put it into quarintine. And what happens when the viruses are put into quarintine? It dosn't really mean anything if it can successfully put the malware into quarintine if it's a CD-bootable OS. It's only quarintined in the context of the memory it exists in. When I restart windows, I'm still infected with loads of viruses. Thanks Dave

On the status bar, check I click the Wireless icon, it said 'Open Network Preferences' And then in the Network Preference, I click 'AirPort' tab, the status said 'Inactive' But the 'Turn AirPort on' is disabled and the Network Name is disabled as well.   No obvious problems with my Mac OS X 10.5 system, but Drive Genius 1.5.1 says: "Invalid catalog btree reverse link in node" when doing a "Verify" The "repair" and "rebuild" options fail. I did some googling, and the consensus as: 1- Drive Genius is slightly better than Disk Warrior 2- This problem is likely not fixable. My assumed solution is that I should do a full backup and re-format.
