• How do I get Vista security to accept my antivirus status with Kaspersky?

  I'm running Windows Vista (32 bit Home Premium SP2) and despite having Kaspersky Internet Security on, fully up to date and activated, cannot stop the security warning icon from showing. • Enabling RSA Toolbar in IE8

  OS - Win7 Utlimate 64 bit I have installed the RSA security toolbar used to VPN into my corporate network. I can see that RSA Toolbar is enabled in the Manage Add-Ons window. However I do not see the toolbar when I right-click in the toolbar section in IE. The add-on manger says that the toolbar is loaded but I cant get it to show in the toolbars section Any ideas? TIA

  I have a Sony Vaio laptop with Windows 7 home premium 64 bit. The "New Folder" button in Windows Explorer does not work nor does the shortcut for creating a new folder (ctrl+alt+n) However, I can create a new folder in Explorer by right clicking, selecting NEW, and selecting FOLDER. Any suggestions on how I can fix this?

  Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit 2 GB RAM Duo 1.6MHz processors Since upgrading from Vista to Win 7 File Hippo Update Checker no longer works? It appears to go through the motions of checking the software because the popup window appears but it never fires up the results in a browser which it used to do in Vista. It simply does nothing after the initial popup window appears and disappears. Have tried uninstall/reinstall with no joy. Any ideas?

  My computer stopped working the other day, I came down and it was kind of chriping away then when I restarted it it only did the same thing, I unplugged everything not needed and it did nothing at all, I thought maybe powersupply but when I took cover off the green light on MB was on and powersuppy is making little buzz sound, but nothing happens when I turn com on other than the green light on MB flickers a bit, I checked memory in other com and it works fine, love to be able to fix with as litttle cost as possible, hope someone here can help... • Is there a GOOD RDP client under Liunx that will give me all 64K colors ?

  I want to RDP to Windows 2003 servers, but if I use the default RDP client under Linux, I have only 16 or 256 colors, instead of the 16-bit colors. The display is also very slow. What are the good RDP clients I can install on my server? This is a server on which I cannot install anything like VNC, or other remote access solutions. I have to stick to RDP. Thanks :-)

• How to replicate wwwroot over multiple IIS web servers with NLB without NAS?

  We're adding a second server with Windows NLB for a bit of redundancy (ie the power goes on one of the servers - I know its not the best solution). How can we keep the data identical between the servers? Dont want to use a SAN or NAS as thats just something else to go wrong.   Occasionally, my PC grinds to a halt, and by the time I get any monitoring tools open (don't forget my PC is slow at this point), performance has picked up a bit. A friend recently told me he uses iPulse, which is awesome since it's always running, and you can just glance at it when there's an issue to see what is happening. Unfortunately it's only for the Mac. Does anybody know of a good Windows system monitoring tool similar to iPulse for the Mac?

• Search audio file for pattern?

  I want to split a very large audio file at certain points. At certain points a radio announcer comes on and says something like "deux radio" and it always sounds exactly the same (it's a recorded clip). So how can I find that bit of repeated audio through out the entire mp3? It would be nice if I could split at that point, but even if it spits out the times, I can split it with another program.

  I was having a bit of trouble reading the dark red strings of Vim's default color scheme, so I decided to switch to a different one. http://code.google.com/p/vimcolorsch...kboard.vim?r=2 http://files.werx.dk/wombat.vim However, when I set my color schemes to these, not only do they not come out correctly (for example, comments are bright blue), but these 2 somehow come out looking exactly the same! Am I doing something wrong, or are these colors restricted in the terminal so default colors are being chosen?

I've heard the second option can really speed things up, but it also sounds very risky. Is it safe to do on a laptop that rarely is off of AC power? (but still has battery as well)

  DEP (Microsofts Data Execution Prevention) stopps sometimes some apps and kills it out of memory. As an administrator, may i see such events in a log and if which one? My experience is that there is no user information as written in Help about DEP, user reported only that the desired app disappears from their screens. This happens on a Citrix-Server running on a windows-2003 R2 64-Bit Server.

• I've got crossfired 4770s. I get a blue screen of death sometimes while watching some videos.

  I'm not sure what the problem is. Youtube works fine. But when i use the jwplayer on white-ra.com i get a temp-freeze or a blue bsod. I tried installing k-lite full and k-lite 64 and it still does it. Any ideas? Windows 7 64 bit with crossfired 4770s if that matters.
