  Setting up Google Analytics Dashboard allows webmasters to get a weekly progress report of marketing achievements & keep a finger on what's going on at web properties. However, by default, the dashboard always displays a day-by-day report, which isn't actionable in markets, where meaningful improvements happen on a week-by-week, or month-over-month basis. Is there any way the default view (and reports sent out via email) can be set to display week-level resolution, as opposed to day-level resolution?   I'm studying TDD and I read that it also helps you to define the design of the app, correct? So I decided to start creating a new project to help me understand it better. I want to create a simple user registration system that will ask for its name, email address, country (will pick one from a list) and phone number. So the question is... I created a new solution in VS 2010, added a new Test project and I just don't know what tests to write! Since it will help me define the design, what tests could I write here? Thanks for any help!

• How do I get a get the left pane of my GUI app to talk to the right pane?

  I need help on developing a UI for a app. Basically this app will have do panels, left and right, lets say. On the left panel will be displayed customers and when I click on the customer name on the right will appear tabs with information, some kind of form with name, email, picture, etc. I already developed the left panel with DictionaryGrid which I could found on tutorials and so on, but no idea on the right panel which is the form side. Any help??? Just the idea and the development is with me, thanks very much

  If you’re a fan of Katamari Damacy, a quirky and fun Japanese puzzle game made popular on the PlayStation, you’ll love this Javas script hack that turns your browser pane and its contents into a giant HTML-collecting game of Katamari Damacy. Katamari Damacy, for the unfamiliar, is a addictive game based on the premise that a galactic prince is on a mission to rebuild stars, constellations, and moons accidentally destroyed by his father. You roll around and collect objects (making yourself an increasingly larger ball in the process). This script hack puts a ball on your web browser pane (works best in Chrome) that you can roll around collecting elements from the web page. At first you can only grab links but as you grow you can grab increasingly large objects like photo elements off the page. It doesn’t have the sophisticated graphics of the Playstation version, of course, nor the detailed back story, but it’s a clever little hack that is sure to delight fans of Katamari Damacy. • Opensource package for securly allowing users to log in and provide information

  I have a site written in mostly php and html. I also have a sql database of personal information like names and addresses. I would like my users to be able to log in to my website with a login I can email or snail mail to them, and view and edit their information on my database. Users can currently enter information online I and store it in my database but they can't view or edit stored information. I can add the code to do this, but when I give users the ability to view information I suddenly have a lot more security concerns. Is there an open source package to deal with allowing users to do something like this? Or is there an established convention for this? I know this is a pretty basic question, and there might be some good literature about it that I have yet to find, so if someone can just point me in the direction of some of that information, or better yet give me firsthand some information about this that would be great.

I believe the idea is very solid, but it has a hard requirement for a group of people being on the site for the randomly scheduled events. We are having problems getting people to come and stay for these events. What is the proper marketing approach needed to bring people to the site for these events? We have recently done the following in an attempt to fix the problem: Added email notification of new events being created Added privileges based on rank Added text throughout the site encouraging setting up the events in the future so other users can have time see that it exists. • Upload ICS (calandar) file to my server

  I want to upload my ICS file to my server, well this is the easy part. What I really want is to be able to share this *.ics file with 2-3 people so they can edit. I have currently uploaded the file on the www/ (root) mydomain.com.au/myfile.ics of my server and added it to my Email/Cal client. Was all looking ok until I tried to save changes. Can someone please direct me to some documentation on how I do this properly. The easy solution would be to upload to google, but I would rather learn how to manage the file myself. Thank you

• Why ubuntu 13.10 always show "access prompt" when start?

I was input password for email or another services, which registed with "[email protected]", but it's still "incorect". I can close but next time, it appears again. It never appeared before 13.10. What is application show that prompt? How can I turn off this? Here is access prompt?

• Which mobile device is appropriate as a utility tool for a web master?

  Basically, I'm looking for a device to use on the road and I would prefer to not have to sit down for the majority of the tasks (which rules out netbooks, in my mind). I'm also hoping to spend less than $500. This is what I'd like to "capably" be able to do on the device: Browse the web in non-mobile format, flash is a plus Email, chat, etc Have access to a decent text editor and ftp OR a browser that supports BESPIN/ACE Some sort of SSH support I'm looking at rooted Android phones and iPhone/iPads... though the phone aspect is only icing (it would be cool to consolidate the two devices and have net access through cell networks, but I'm not married to the idea). Are there cheap linux tablets that are ready for prime-time yet? I suppose that would be ideal. All suggestions welcome!

• Alexa indexing browsing history?

  We have this test.php sitting around in a forgotten folder. It is a script which just sends an email to our site admin. We never had a page linking to it. It is not indexed by Google. It does not exist in the Internet Archive Wayback Machine. But every now and then it gets crawled by ia_archiver. I wonder how it got indexed. Could it be because of the Alexa toolbar installed on our computer? Does Alexa index our personal browsing history?

• Google Analytics Campaigns Not Tracking E-Commerce

  I am running email campaigns via MailChimp and tracking the success of my campaigns via Google Analytics. I can successfully see data being tracked for: Reporting > Conversions > Ecommerce (Receiving Data) Reporting > Traffic Sources > Campaigns (Receiving Data) However, I am not receiving any Ecommerce data for the individual campaigns: Reporting > Traffic Sources > Campaigns > Ecommerce (No data) So I see data like: Visits: 18,501 Revenue: $0.00 Everything I have read leads me to believe this should just "work" if Ecommerce is setup. Is there some additional action I need to take for this work? Any help would be appreciated!

  Gmail has long had a robust system for searching within the subjects and bodies of your emails, now you can search inside select attachments–PDF, Word, and PowerPoint attachments are all searchable. Prior to this update, Gmail could search inside of HTML attachments but lacked more advanced attachment querying abilities. Now when you search your Gmail account you’ll see search results for not only the subject and body contents but also the contents of popular formats like PDF and Word documents. Don’t forget to take advantage of advanced search terms to speed up your query. If you know the information you need is in an attachment but can’t remember which email, include “has:attachment” in your search to only peek inside emails with attachments.
