    I know these principles: Define the constrains and operations,eg constrains are the rules that you cant pass and what you want determined by the end goal, operations are actions you can do, "choices" . Buy some time by solving easy and solvable piece. Halving the difficulty by dividing the project into small goals and blocks. The more blocks you create the more hinges you have. Analogies which means : using other code blocks, yours or from other programmers . which has problem similar to the current problem. Experiments not guessing by writing "predicted end" code, in other word creating a hypothesis, about what will happen if you do this or that. Use your tools first, don't begin with a unknown code first. By making small goals you ll not get frustrated. Start from smallest problem. Are there other principles?

  • How do i choose the type of programming? [on hold]

    i have been learning c++ for a while. i had also tried java a little and i am loving it both. but i'm confused what path to choose after i finish this. i mean what are the types of programming i can try after this. because of not knowing the different streams of programming and its languages, tools, etc i'm not able to plan anything. and i don't have a cs degree. so are valid diploma courses available for the same? please help me with this. i'm not getting motivated without good idea in hand. thanks in advance :)

  • Unable to install Xdebug

    I've registered xdebug in php.ini (as per http://xdebug.org/docs/install) but it's not showing up when i run "php -m" or when i get a test page to run "phpinfo()". I've just installed the latest version of XAMPP. Can anyone provide any suggestions in getting xdebug to show up? What could be the problem?     I have a certificate issued by a CA on our intranet (it's a V3 sha1 pfx file). When I use this in the signing part of my clickonce (vsto addin) project, I get the error: C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft\VisualStudio\v9.0\OfficeTools\Microsoft.VisualStudio.Tools.Office.Office2007.targets(250,9): error MSB3482: An error occurred while signing: Invalid provider type specified. I haven't been able to find anything about tools that integrate Git with Visual Studio, though - does such a thing exist? If not, can anyone report on their experiences using Git with Visual Studio?

    Microsoft has recently announced "Intellisense", a killer feature for VS2010 IMHO. Basically it records all the instructions the program ran, and allows you to easily look through the execution log. Is there a similar feature for open source tools? Specifically such a feature for Java with Eclipse integration would be a nice thing to have.
