• StackOverflowException throws often when .net application built with Debug mode

  I have an application which access an external webservice often, when i are trying to debug it, means debuging in vistual studio. it often throws out StackOverflowException at the webserverice call point. when building in Release mode , the exception thrown out only occasionally. I checked the call stack, looks like there is no recursive call. can you please suggest? thank you very much. call statck attached. • problem with google chrome

  hi. i have javscript file for history management.IT is not supported by chrome when i am trying to navigate to back page with backbutton in the browser.I can see the url change but it doesnt go to preceeding page.   Hi Everyone, I've recently upgraded my DB2 9.5 to DB2 9.7, and I am unable to update my database to v9.7. The error I have been receiving is this: "SQL0901N The SQL statement failed because of a non-severe system error. Subsequent SQL statements can be processed. (Reason "Packed descriptor corruption found. Please run RUNSTATS on this table".) SQLSTATE=58004" I have tried to connect with 9.5 clients that worked before the "upgrade" on other machines, but they complain about the DB not being migrated to the current version. So my DB is now somewhere in limbo between 9.5 and 9.7. Would anyone have any clever ideas on how to execute runstats on this DB without being able to connect to it? I'm not concerned so much about the data inside, as I am about the settings (name,optimization stuff, etc) Please let me know if I there is any information I left out. Thanks, Jdcc

To fix this problem, adjust the additional memory settings to allow more virtual machine memory to be swapped. If you were able to power on this virtual machine on this host computer in the past, try rebooting the host computer. Rebooting may allow you to use slightly more host memory to run virtual machines." i have also tried options that are suggested from above error, but still its not working.   Following on from this question: Why does my PowerShell script hang when called in PSEXEC via a batch (.cmd) file? I took the advice from Jim B and installed WinRM. To recap I have two servers: HMon01 - runs Windows 2003 Standard SP2 Web1928 - runs Windows 2008 Standard SP2 Both servers are standalone. However I have an account on the remote machine named remoteexec which is a member of the Administrators group (we disable our Administrator accounts). If I use this account then I get Access Denied errors. I've done all the usual things such as checking passwords and the like. Why would this be?

  I read up on LH Mode and am still boggled what it is and what it does. I pass all validation on the Failover cluster wizard but in the Event Viewer I get erros for Event ID 5121 and 1034 related to one of the disks that is in the CSV for my hyper v machines. We have two disks in the CSV for our hyper V farm. Everything seems to work just fine but im worried about the even viewer errors. I have also read that people are having problems like I turning off Redirected access.

  I am trying to configure SSTP in Windows Server Foundation 2008. I want to use a self-signed SSL certificate to do authentication. When the server is running, I get the following error when trying to connect: 0x800B0109: A certificate chain processed, but terminated in a root certificate that is not trusted by the trust provider. I created the self-signed certificate in the IIS "Server Certificates" panel. From that panel, I exported the certificate, with the private key, to a .pfx file. I installed this certificate on the client computer which I tried to connect from. The certificate bound to the SSL listener in the RRAS-Security panel is present in the Trusted Root Certificate Authority stores on both machines. I've been getting super annoyed setting up certificates. Any advice here?

  I'm trying to serialize two NSMutableArrays of NSObjects that implement the NSCoding protocol. However it works for one (stacks) and not the other (cards). BOOL c is NO and BOOL s is YES. The stacks array is actually empty (which is probably why it works). The cards array has contents. Why is it that the array with contents is failing? I can't figure this out. I've looked through numerous threads on SOF, each of them say the problem is because the protection level of the files they were writing were preventing them from writing. This is not my problem, as I'm writing to the Documents folder. I've double and tripple checked that neither rootStack.cards nor rootStack.stacks is nil. And I've checked that cards does indeed have content.   Having experienced IIS for many years I've hit this error various times in the past, and understand it, the gist being IIS is attempting to setup so many file change notifications over a UNC share that it is hitting a specified limit of active commands. However, whilst I understand this is a registry change on the endpoints, in our internal network we're starting to hit this when running certain domains that have large content (and the content is then stored out of source control and instead on a dumb network store). Given this is a testing environment and rather than changing registry settings (which may not even work for client (dev) machines that run Vista IIS), I'd like to stop IIS setting up all these file change notifications. Is this possible to do on a per site basis? additionally the configuration can't be in the web.config, if this means having to disable FCN's for the entire IIS server this would be preferred.   I've just installed SQL Server 2008 Developer edition and I'm trying to connect using SQLCMD.exe, but I get the following error: H:\>sqlcmd.exe -S ".\SQL2008" Msg 18452, Level 14, State 1, Server DEVBOX\SQL2008, Line 1 Login failed. The login is from an untrusted domain and cannot be used with Windows authentication. Has anyone seen this before? Any idea what it means??

• Winforms TabControl causing spurious Paint events for UserControl

  For our project, we've written a WinForms UserControl for graphing. We're seeing some strange behavior when our control is sited in a TabControl - our control continuously fires Paint events, even when there is absolutely no activity by the user. We only see this in the TabControl. When we site our control in other containers such as Forms or Splitters, Paint is only fired when you'd expect e.g. when the control is first displayed, etc. Can anyone suggest why this might be happening? • reverse proxy on PFsense, squid or otherwise

  I've been trying to get this to work for days now and its not working. After bashing my head against the desk enough times, I've decided to man up and ask. I'm desperately trying to set up a reverse proxy on the pfsense box itself. One because its a pretty powerful box and its not being utilized to the maximum at all and two because I don't have any spare machines to setup squid (or any other reverse proxy [capable]) server on. So, on pfsense, everytime I set up rules (on ServicesProxy ServerGeneral) as so: acl surveillance dstdomain surveillance.myweb.local; acl camera dstdomain camera.myweb.local; http_access allow surveillance AND camera (ad nauseum) when I check the services, squid stops and refuses to restart until I remove them pesky acls that are supposed to make my life easier! What am I doing wrong? How can I get it to work? Is there another way/package I can use? Thanks

• VMware Workstation Error: Cannot find a valid peer process

  I am running VMware Workstation 6.1.5 (build-126130) on CentOS 5.3 (Final). One of the guest machines is reporting an error when I try to power on the most recent snapshot. Snapshots further back in the timeline will power on without any problem. Error: Unable to change virtual machine power state: Cannot find a valid peer process to connect to. Apparently I'm not the only one with this problem. Others have been reporting it since at least early 2005. The forums say to delete unused lock files and restart any hung VMware processes (or restart the host machine), which I have done. Still no luck. Any other ideas?

Unfortunately, when trying to unit test methods that use this technique I am experiencing random failures. ~3 out of every five executions of a test that contain this code fails. I can verify this by setting breakpoints in Foo and observing that they are never reached. Further, I can force a long delay after calling DoMethodThatInvokesService (which kicks off the async call), and the code is still never run. I do know that the lines of code invoking the Rx framework were called. Other things I've tried: I have attempted to modify the second last line according to the suggestions here: Reactive Extensions Rx - unit testing something with ObserveOnDispatcher No love. I have added .Take(1) to the Rx code as follows: func(inData).ObserveOnDispatcher().Take(1).Subscribe(x = Foo(x)); This improved my failure rate to something like 1 in 5, but they still occurred. I have rewritten the Rx code to use the plain jane Async pattern. This works, however my developer ego really would love to use Rx instead of boring old begin/end. In the end I do have a work around in hand (i.e. don't use Rx), however I feel that it is not ideal. If anyone has ran into this problem in the past and found a solution, I'd dearly love to hear it.
