  • Watir question regarding select_list and reloading

    I have a drop down with multiple options. Whenever you choose an option, the page reloads with data specific with that option. Currently I'm using select.list(:name, strg).set(value) and it does that part just fine, but it does not reload the page with the specific data. Anyone know how to help. When i watch it in action, it doesn't select the option either, but my logs show that it does.Thanks.

    Hello, Suppose we have 3 apps - appMain, app1 and app2. Applications 1 and 2 are protected, they have is_secure: true and everything works fine with sfDoctrineGuard plugin. A behavior I want to achieve is when a user is not authenticated, current application to forward him to another one, say appMain with defined module and action. Is that possible? Or can someone tell me where to dig about security mechanisms in symfony?

  • SATA Devices not showing up when in UEFI mode

    I'm trying to install Windows and the bios should be set to UEFI mode. The problem is that all SATA devices aren't showing up (shows as if there aren't any) so I can't boot from the installation CD (it's just not there). The weird thing is that when set to LEGACY mode they all show up.. SATA mode is set to AHCI and I'm on Lenovo Y510P. I have a Linux OS installed that is accessible only when BIOS is in LEGACY mode (otherwise the hard drive it's on is not available) I also tried reseting the BIOS settings which didn't help.. Comment please if more details needed Extra details: Computer model: Lenovo IdeaPad Y510P (not overcloacked) Installed Linux OS version: Linux 3.7-trunk-amd64 x86_64 Trying to install Windows: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit BIOS Information: Vendor: LENOVO Version: 74CN26WW(V1.07) Update: Using user1608638 answer and suggestion of using the USB flash drive as the boot device instead of the CD/DVD method I succeeded in installing Windows 7! I want to remote desktop connection to my friend over the internet, but I don't have premission for port forwarding on the router, and my friend also can't configure his router. So the question is how to connect to computer without port forwarding, I know that is out there some programs like teamviewer, or some else that solve that task, but what I looking for is the some free site that can make "bridge" between are two computer, or is it possible to install on computer some program that simulate virtual router or something like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIof7kFTgJE .... I need this cause I have my own simple remote desktop connection program, but I can't connect to other computer outside network cause don't have premission to configure router :( any comment, link, advice, or tutorials will be very helpful :)

  • 64-bit Hardware Virtualization on VirtualBox

    I am trying to set up a SQL Server practice lab using VirtualBox and a trial copy of Windows Server 2K8 R2 in ISO format. I received an error message that states my processor does not support 64-bit hardware virtualization. Although I "Enabled" Intel ardware virtualization in the BIOS that still doesn't work. According to the Intel website, the processor does support VT-x, however the accelerated tab in VirtualBox is greyed out and no references to VT-x are mentioned in the settings options available to me. Any ideas on how I can get around this? I checked around ServerFault and couldn't find anything but if I missed an applicable post a link is great too.     I have button-group component which contains a set of button-element components. The template is defined as: {{#each buttons}} {{button-element titleBinding="title" action="buttonAction"}} {{/each}} I'd like the buttonAction() method in the button-group component to have easy access to the set of button-element components and iterate through them. What's the easiest way to do this? I know I could use a jQuery/DOM approach like: this.$('.btn').doSomething(); But I'd like to address the component objects not the DOM directly.

    After the following comment on my last question, I'm thinking about upgrading my RAM: I got a 160 GB Scorpio Blue a couple months ago for my 1501. It's nice. That + 2 GB Crucial RAM have rather revived my notebook (meaning a very nice speed and storage boost). I was outgrowing it... – Nathaniel What would be the best choice to add more RAM? I've already got 2 GB, but I'm not sure what their speed is. What are the size, type and speed limitations for RAM on my particular laptop?

    I am about to develop a little script to gather information for a chroot-jail. In my case this looks (at the first glance) pretty simple: The application has a clean rpm-install and did install almost all files into a sub-directory of /opt. My idea is: Do a find of all binaries Check their library-dependencies Record the results into a list Do a rsync of that list into the chroot-target-directory before startup of the application Now I wonder - ist there any script around that already does such a job (perl/bash/python)? So far I found only specialized solutions for single applications (like sftp-chroot). Update I see three close-votes for the reason "off topic". This is a question that arose because I have to install that ancient piece of software on a server at work. So if you still feel this is off-topic - leave a comment...
