• Why does the last row of my tableview not align to the bottom of the screen

  I have a view which consists of a tableview and a navigation bar. For my tableview I have implemented a 'Load more' row which will load current + pagesize every time it is clicked The way the loading works is very simple, every time it is clicked I just request the amount of rows I want to display e.g. 5, 10, 15 and so on. This request populates an array and I call [self.tableView reloadData] The issue I am experiencing is that when I go to the tableview the first time, it correctly loads and displays the tableview. However, if I 'Load more' it returns the correct amount and displays the correct number of cells but the last cell will not fit properly at the bottom of the screen, about 1/2 of it (or roughly the size of the navigation bar of the cell) appears below the bottom of the screen. I thought it was sufficient to just tell the tableview to reload itself. Do I need to use [self.tableView insertRowsAtIndexPaths ...] to do this.

• Is there an easy way to do click-and-drag scrolling in text frames?

  I have a div with overflow:auto and a scroll bar, and I'd like to be able to drag the contents to scroll. I don't need to be able to select text. Is there an easy way to do this? A jQuery plugin would be good, otherwise plain old JavaScript would be fine. It seems I haven't made myself clear enough. There's a div with a fixed height that I want to scroll. Instead of picking up the scroll bar, I want to click and drag inside the text in the opposite direction. Like on an iPhone. • BASH: Checking for environment variables

  Hi folks, I am trying to check the value of an environment variable and depending on the value do certain things and it works fine as long as the variable is set. When it isn't though I get a whole bunch of errors (as BASH is trying to compare the string I specify with an undefined variable, I guess) I tried implementing an extra check to prevent it happening but no luck. • Observing 'click' event on <a> tag generated by scriptaculous Builder

  I'm using scriptaculous Builder to generate some DOM elements dynamically, and one of them is a link tag. I wasn't sure how to generate this with the click callback inline along with the rest of the Builder code, so I'm generating the link tag ahead of time and then inserting it with the rest of the Builder phase. The problem is that the callback for the link is never actually executed when I click the link, and the URL bar changes to http://localhost/foo/bar/# instead.   Hi, I have a simple XML extraction issue that should be solvable with straight PHP and not require any libraries. All I need to do is extract the values of one tag.   Hi All, Im having a bit of trouble getting my JSON to be recognised by my web page. I have validated JSON that im getting returned from server, so i know that is correct, however my javascript function is not doing anything with it. • What is the appropriate granularity in building a ViewModel?

  I am working on a new project, and, after seeing some of the difficulties of previous projects that didn't provide enough separation of view from their models (specifically using MVC - the models and views began to bleed into each other a bit), I wanted to use MVVM. I understand the basic concept, and I'm excited to start using it. However, one thing that escapes me a bit - what data should be contained in the ViewModel? For example, if I am creating a ViewModel that will encompass two pieces of data so they can be edited in a form, do I capture it like this: public PersonAddressViewModel { public Person Person { get; set; } public Address Address { get; set; } } or like this: public PersonAddressViewModel { public string FirstName { get; set; } public string LastName { get; set; } public string StreetName { get; set; } // ...etc } To me, the first feels more correct for what we're attempting to do. If we were doing more fine grain forms (maybe all we were capturing was FirstName, LastName, and StreetAddress) then it might make more sense to go down to that level. But, I feel like the first is correct since we're capturing ALL Person data in the form and ALL Address data. It seems like it doesn't make sense (and a lot of extra work) to split things apart like that. Appreciate any insight.

• GUnload is null or undefined using Directions Service

  I'm getting an error using Google Maps API V3 that I don't understand. My initial map displays just fine, but when I try to get directions, I get the following two errors: Error: The value of the property 'GUnload' is null or undefined, not a Function object Error: Unable to get value of the property 'setDirections': object is null or undefined I'm not using GUnload anywhere, so I don't understand why I'm getting that error. As far as the second error is concerned, it's as if something is wrong with the Directions service. When i have about 50 or more records in one of my table view which is below in the stack of view controllers and if i tap the back button quickly the navigation bar on the tap changes but the view does't change. For example: if i have the search controller below in the stack and detail controller up in the stack in this case on tapping the back button quickly the navigation bar comes to the search but the view controller remains on detail page. can any one can give me cause or solution of this problem. your help will be highly appreciated.

  I've created an address bean and I want to use it twice - once for street address and once for mailing address. I can achieve this using faces config as per the below, but I'm wondering if I can do this via annotations. e.g. put @ManagedBean(name="StreetAddress") and @ManagedBean(name="MailingAddress") on the same class?   Hi, I have a has and belongs to many relation between User and Article models, and I would like to link them even if an article if not hosted on the same database then a user. For example, If an article exists at foo.com/articles/3 and a user exists at bar.com/users/1, If would like to be able to do from foo.com web interface or bar.com web interface this kind of query: a_user.articles (or an_article.users). I think this can be possible adding a field like "url" in users and articles tables. But I don't know how to process for ActiveRecord. • Alter top and bottom borders of Dojo/Dijit Dialog and ContentPane

  I have a Dojo/Dijit Dialog that contains a FORM. There is a top border between the title bar and the content, and a bottom border below the content. Both are about 19 or 20 pixels high and colored #eeeeee. I can't find these borders in the CSS anywhere -- actually, neither can the IE Developer Toolbar -- they just don't seem to exist as elements. I suspect that Dijit is adding these programatically. Is there any way to just remove these borders? I just want my content to consume all of the dialog area below the title bar. TIA

• Looking for: nosql (redis/mongodb) based event logging for Django

  I'm looking for a flexible event logging platform to store both pre-defined (username, ip address) and non-pre-defined (can be generated as needed by any piece of code) events for Django. I'm currently doing some of this with log files, but it ends up requiring various analysis scripts and ends up in a DB anyway, so I'm considering throwing it immediately into a nosql store such as MongoDB or Redis. The idea is to be easily able to query, for example, which ip address the user most commonly comes from, whether the user has ever performed some action, lookup the outcome for a specific event, etc. Is there something that already does this? If not, I'm thinking of this: The "event" is a dictionary attached to the request object. Middleware fills in various pieces (username, ip, sql timing), code fills in the rest as needed. After the request is served a post-request hook drops the event into mongodb/redis, normalizing various fields (eg. incrementing the username:ip address counter) and dropping the rest in as is. Words of wisdom / pointers to code that does some/all of this would be appreciated.

  Hi, I am very new to the QT; please help me to solve the problem. I am using thread to perform intensive operation in back ground. Meanwhile I want to update the UI, so I am using SIGNALS and SLOTS. To update UI I emit a signal and update UI. Let us consider bellow sample code, struct sample { QString name; QString address; }; void Update(sample *); void sampleFunction() { sample a; a.name = "Sachin Tendulkar"; a.address = "India" emit Update(&a); } In the above code we are creating a local object and passing the address of local object. In the QT document, it says that when we emit a signal it will be placed in the queue and late it will be delivered to the windows. Since my object is in local scope it will be delete once it goes out of the scope. Please tell me a way to send a pointer in a signal.

  Hi, I'm in the middle of writing my project and I have this problem: I try to write a library and I want to use it in my application. In library I have a form with menu strip, tool bar, list view, tree view and etc. Everything in library is protected. In my application I have created the form which inherit form the library. I can change and add new functionality to list view and tree view using designer panel in VS 2008 but I don't have access to menu strip and tool bar, even though they are protected. Why is that so? I will be thankful for some advice.

  I have had the problem described in the question Tiling rectangles seamlessly in WPF, but am not really happy with the answers given there. I am painting a bar chart by painting lots of rectangles right next to each other. Depending on the scale of the canvas containing them, there are small gaps visible between some of them as a result from sub-pixel rendering. I learned from the above question how to make my rectangles fit with the screen pixels, removing that effect. Unfortunately, my chart may display way more bars than there are pixels. Apart from the tiny gaps (which manifest as a periodic change in color saturation), this works well. If I snap each bar with the screen pixels, most of the bars vanish, though, so I am looking for another solution. Thanks in advance!

  Right now I have a window with horizontal ad vertical scrollbars. I use these parameters to initialize it. //Set OGL Frame scroll bar SCROLLINFO inf; inf.cbSize = sizeof(SCROLLINFO); inf.fMask = SIF_PAGE | SIF_POS; inf.nPage = 20; inf.nPos = 30; It creates them in the center and I like their size, but when I scroll I multiply by 50 which creates chopiness. How could I add more resolution to the bars and still keep the same thumb size. Is there a way I can calculate the size and position of the bar based on the above parameters? Thanks

• How do I convert an arbitrary list of strings to a SQL rowset?

  I have a simple list of strings, which may be of arbitrary length. I'd like to be able to use this list of strings as I would use a rowset. The app in question is running against SQL Server. To be clearer, if I do SELECT 'foo', 'bar', 'baz' I get 'foo', 'bar', and 'baz' as fields in a single row. I'd like to see each one of them as a separate row. Is there a SQL (or SQLServer-specific) function or technique that I'm missing, or am I going to have to resort to writing a function in an external scripting language?
