  • SL3/SL4 - Ado.Net Data Services Error during new DataServiceCollection<T>(queryResponse)

    - by Soulhuntre
Hey all, I have two functions in a SL project (VS2010) that do almost exactly the same thing, yet one throws an error and the other does not. It seems to be related to the projections, but I am unsure about the best way to resolve. The function that works is... public void LoadAllChunksExpandAll(DataHelperReturnHandler handler, string orderby) { DataServiceCollection<CmsChunk> data = null; DataServiceQuery<CmsChunk> theQuery = _dataservice .CmsChunks .Expand("CmsItemState") .AddQueryOption("$orderby", orderby); theQuery.BeginExecute( delegate(IAsyncResult asyncResult) { _callback_dispatcher.BeginInvoke( () => { try { DataServiceQuery<CmsChunk> query = asyncResult.AsyncState as DataServiceQuery<CmsChunk>; if (query != null) { //create a tracked DataServiceCollection from the result of the asynchronous query. QueryOperationResponse<CmsChunk> queryResponse = query.EndExecute(asyncResult) as QueryOperationResponse<CmsChunk>; data = new DataServiceCollection<CmsChunk>(queryResponse); handler(data); } } catch { handler(data); } } ); }, theQuery ); } This compiles and runs as expected. A very, very similar function (shown below) fails... public void LoadAllPagesExpandAll(DataHelperReturnHandler handler, string orderby) { DataServiceCollection<CmsPage> data = null; DataServiceQuery<CmsPage> theQuery = _dataservice .CmsPages .Expand("CmsChildPages") .Expand("CmsParentPage") .Expand("CmsItemState") .AddQueryOption("$orderby", orderby); theQuery.BeginExecute( delegate(IAsyncResult asyncResult) { _callback_dispatcher.BeginInvoke( () => { try { DataServiceQuery<CmsPage> query = asyncResult.AsyncState as DataServiceQuery<CmsPage>; if (query != null) { //create a tracked DataServiceCollection from the result of the asynchronous query. QueryOperationResponse<CmsPage> queryResponse = query.EndExecute(asyncResult) as QueryOperationResponse<CmsPage>; data = new DataServiceCollection<CmsPage>(queryResponse); handler(data); } } catch { handler(data); } } ); }, theQuery ); } Clearly the issue is the Expand projections that involve a self referencing relationship (pages can contain other pages). This is under SL4 or SL3 using ADONETDataServices SL3 Update CTP3. I am open to any work around or pointers to goo information, a Google search for the error results in two hits, neither particularly helpful that I can decipher. The short error is "An item could not be added to the collection. When items in a DataServiceCollection are tracked by the DataServiceContext, new items cannot be added before items have been loaded into the collection." The full error is... System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException was caught Message=Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. • CheckBox Command Behaviors for Silverlight MVVM Pattern

    - by Blake Blackwell
I am trying to detect when an item is checked, and which item is checked in a ListBox using Silverlight 4 and the Prism framework. I found this example on creating behaviors, and tried to follow it but nothing is happening in the debugger. I have three questions: Why isn't my command executing? How do I determine which item was checked (i.e. pass a command parameter)? How do I debug this? (i.e. where can I put break points to begin stepping into this) Here is my code: View: <ListBox x:Name="MyListBox" ItemsSource="{Binding PanelItems, Mode=TwoWay}"> <ListBox.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal"> <CheckBox IsChecked="{Binding Enabled}" my:Checked.Command="{Binding Check}" /> <TextBlock x:Name="DisplayName" Text="{Binding DisplayName}"/> </StackPanel> </DataTemplate> </ListBox.ItemTemplate> </ListBox> ViewModel: public MainPageViewModel() { _panelItems.Add( new PanelItem { Enabled = true, DisplayName = "Test1" } ); Check = new DelegateCommand<object>( itemChecked ); } public void itemChecked( object o ) { //do some stuff } public DelegateCommand<object> Check { get; set; } Behavior Class public class CheckedBehavior : CommandBehaviorBase<CheckBox> { public CheckedBehavior( CheckBox element ) : base( element ) { element.Checked +=new RoutedEventHandler(element_Checked); } void element_Checked( object sender, RoutedEventArgs e ) { base.ExecuteCommand(); } } Command Class public static class Checked { public static ICommand GetCommand( DependencyObject obj ) { return (ICommand) obj.GetValue( CommandProperty ); } public static void SetCommand( DependencyObject obj, ICommand value ) { obj.SetValue( CommandProperty, value ); } public static readonly DependencyProperty CommandProperty = DependencyProperty.RegisterAttached( "Command", typeof( CheckBox ), typeof( Checked ), new PropertyMetadata( OnSetCommandCallback ) ); public static readonly DependencyProperty CheckedCommandBehaviorProperty = DependencyProperty.RegisterAttached( "CheckedCommandBehavior", typeof( CheckedBehavior ), typeof( Checked ), null ); private static void OnSetCommandCallback( DependencyObject dependencyObject, DependencyPropertyChangedEventArgs e ) { CheckBox element = dependencyObject as CheckBox; if( element != null ) { CheckedBehavior behavior = GetOrCreateBehavior( element ); behavior.Command = e.NewValue as ICommand; } } private static CheckedBehavior GetOrCreateBehavior( CheckBox element ) { CheckedBehavior behavior = element.GetValue( CheckedCommandBehaviorProperty ) as CheckedBehavior; if( behavior == null ) { behavior = new CheckedBehavior( element ); element.SetValue( CheckedCommandBehaviorProperty, behavior ); } return behavior; } public static CheckedBehavior GetCheckCommandBehavior( DependencyObject obj ) { return (CheckedBehavior) obj.GetValue( CheckedCommandBehaviorProperty ); } public static void SetCheckCommandBehavior( DependencyObject obj, CheckedBehavior value ) { obj.SetValue( CheckedCommandBehaviorProperty, value ); } } I used this article to get me started, but I'll readily admit this is over my head.

  • Safari Extjs grid rendering issue

    - by Natkeeran
Hello: Here is a simple illustration of what I mean. It works in IE, and FF, but not in Safari. I have four panels which are dynamically added to a tabpanel item. Three are grid panels, and one is a form panel. I need to preserve the grids proportions or sizes. I tried several layout methods (table, column, absolute etc), and nothing seems work so far. For table layout, all sizes end up being the same width. It seems my best bet is column layout, and they seem to render properly in FF, IE, but not in Safari as shown in the image. (Here it seems that column goes to second row, when the item does not fit into the current row). Initially, the title bar, and several of the column headings does not show. Any suggestions. Thank you.

  • "Place code in separate file" in Visual Studio 2008 with ASP.NET

    - by Ben McCormack
I'm reading a book that recommends clicking a check box that says "Place code in separate file" when adding a new Web Form to an existing ASP.NET project. The book is using Visual Studio 2005 and there is a check box for "Place code in separate file" when you open the "Add New Item" dialog. I am using Visual Studio 2008 and I do not see the "Place code in separate file" checkbox when I try to add a new item. Is there something I need to do to enable this? Was this functionality no longer possible/important in VS 2008?

  • This page calls for XML namespace declared with prefix br but no taglibrary exists

    - by Christopher W. Allen-Poole
    I just finished the Netbeans introduction to Hibernate tutorial ( http://netbeans.org/kb/docs/web/hibernate-webapp.html#01 ) and I am getting the following error: "This page calls for XML namespace declared with prefix br but no taglibrary exists" Now, I have seen a similar question somewhere else: http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5430327 but the answer is not listed there. Or, if it is, then I am clearly missing it -- line one of my index.xhtml file reads "http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml". It also does not explain why, when I reload localhost:8080, the message disappears. Here is my index.xhtml file: <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" xmlns:ui="http://java.sun.com/jsf/facelets" xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"> <ui:composition template="./template.xhtml"> <ui:define name="body"> <h:form> <h:commandLink action="#{filmController.previous}" value="Previous #{filmController.pageSize}" rendered="#{filmController.hasPreviousPage}"/> <h:commandLink action="#{filmController.next}" value="Next #{filmController.pageSize}" rendered="#{filmController.hasNextPage}"/> <h:dataTable value="#{filmController.filmTitles}" var="item" border="0" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="0" rowClasses="jsfcrud_odd_row,jsfcrud_even_row" rules="all" style="border:solid 1px"> <h:column> <f:facet name="header"> <h:outputText value="Title"/> </f:facet> <h:outputText value="#{item.title}"/> </h:column> <h:column> <f:facet name="header"> <h:outputText value="Description"/> </f:facet> <h:outputText value="#{item.description}"/> </h:column> <h:column> <f:facet name="header"> <h:outputText value=" "/> </f:facet> <h:commandLink action="#{filmController.prepareView}" value="View"/> </h:column> </h:dataTable> <br/> </h:form> </ui:define> </ui:composition> </html>

  • Telerik RadGrid doesn't display on first Page_Load but does on postback

    - by Mark
I have a page with a drop-down. Based on the selection in the drop-down, data gets loaded and populates a RadGrid. I am using a custom user control for the EditTemplate, so I can't use radGrid.DataBind(). Instead, I have to use radGrid.MasterTableView.Rebind() in association with a NeedDataSource event handler. My problem is that when I load the page initially, I populate the drop-down and automatically select a value (first item in the list) which triggers the databinding on the RadGrid. I can step through the code in debug mode and see that the grid is being populated with data, but when the page displays, it doesn't get rendered. When I then manually choose an item from the drop-down, which triggers the same grid databinding code, it displays properly the second time. How do I get it to display the grid the first time the page loads?

  • ListView items not clickable with HorizontalScrollView inside

    - by Felix
I have quite a complicated ListView. Each item looks something like this: > LinearLayout (vertical) > LinearLayout (horizontal) > include (horizontal LinearLayout with two TextViews) > include (ditto) > include (ditto) > TextView > HorizontalScrollView (this guy is my problem) > LinearLayout (horizontal) In my activity, when an item is created (getView() is called) I add dynamic TextViews to the LinearLayout inside the HorizontalScrollView (besides filling the other, simpler stuff out). Amazingly, performance is pretty good. My problem is that when I added the HorizontalScrollView, my list items became unclickable. They don't get the orange background when clicked and they don't fire the OnItemClickedListener I have set up (to do a simple Log.d call). How can I make my list items clickable again?

  • Render custom form / alter existing rendering template at runtime.

    - by Janis Veinbergs
How do I create reusable custom new item form + preferrably, i don't want to tie this form to content type? I want to force render one hidden field (it could be render on the page, but make invisible or render on the page and display) and set field value programmatically (that's why it has to be rendered - to set it's value). Google has tons of information on how to create custom list form with sharepoint designer, but in my case, i don't want sharepoint designer for the advantages you see below. What i'm trying to achieve I want to be able to have a custom newform to create item (i don't want it to be as default). To open this newForm i would use CustomAction in item's ECB menu. In this form, i want to force render one hidden field and set it's value programmatically. I want to open this form from CustomAction ECB (item's context menu), so i don't want to set this as a default New form template for content type. <XmlDocument NamespaceURI="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/v3/contenttype/forms"> <FormTemplates xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/v3/contenttype/forms"> <New>ListForm</New> </FormTemplates> </XmlDocument> Idea #1 I could create custom RenderingTemplate and set Content type's new form template to my newly created template. For example, OOTB ListForm rendering template: <SharePoint:RenderingTemplate ID="ListForm" runat="server"> <Template> <SPAN id='part1'> <SharePoint:InformationBar runat="server"/> <wssuc:ToolBar CssClass="ms-formtoolbar" id="toolBarTbltop" RightButtonSeparator="&nbsp;" runat="server"> <Template_RightButtons> <SharePoint:NextPageButton runat="server"/> <SharePoint:SaveButton runat="server"/> <SharePoint:GoBackButton runat="server"/> </Template_RightButtons> </wssuc:ToolBar> <SharePoint:FormToolBar runat="server"/> <TABLE class="ms-formtable" style="margin-top: 8px;" border=0 cellpadding=0 cellspacing=0 width=100%> <SharePoint:ChangeContentType runat="server"/> <SharePoint:FolderFormFields runat="server"/> <SharePoint:ListFieldIterator runat="server" /> <SharePoint:ApprovalStatus runat="server"/> <SharePoint:FormComponent TemplateName="AttachmentRows" runat="server"/> </TABLE> <table cellpadding=0 cellspacing=0 width=100%><tr><td class="ms-formline"><IMG SRC="/_layouts/images/blank.gif" width=1 height=1 alt=""></td></tr></table> <TABLE cellpadding=0 cellspacing=0 width=100% style="padding-top: 7px"><tr><td width=100%> <SharePoint:ItemHiddenVersion runat="server"/> <SharePoint:ParentInformationField runat="server"/> <SharePoint:InitContentType runat="server"/> <wssuc:ToolBar CssClass="ms-formtoolbar" id="toolBarTbl" RightButtonSeparator="&nbsp;" runat="server"> <Template_Buttons> <SharePoint:CreatedModifiedInfo runat="server"/> </Template_Buttons> <Template_RightButtons> <SharePoint:SaveButton runat="server"/> <SharePoint:GoBackButton runat="server"/> </Template_RightButtons> </wssuc:ToolBar> </td></tr></TABLE> </SPAN> <SharePoint:AttachmentUpload runat="server"/> </Template> </SharePoint:RenderingTemplate> I only need such a minor change: <SharePoint:RenderingTemplate ID="NewRelatedListItemTemplate" runat="server"> ... <SharePoint:ListFieldIterator TemplateName="ListItemFormFieldsWithRelatedItems" runat="server" /> .. </SharePoint:RenderingTemplate> <SharePoint:RenderingTemplate ID="ListItemFormFieldsWithRelatedItems" runat="server"> <Template> <Balticovo:ListFieldIteratorExtended IncludeFields="RelatedItems" runat="server"/> </Template> </SharePoint:RenderingTemplate> Advantages over manual (SPD) custom forms In this way form is not "constant/static". If new list fields are added to list or content type afterwards, my custom form will render them (the ListFieldIterator will do it). Idea #2 Could it be that i modify existing RenderingTemplate at runtime? I would take "new forms" template (Named, for example, ListForm or it could be other than default ListForm) with SPControlTemplateManager.GetTemplateByName("ListForm") Find ListIterator control and add property TemplateName="ListItemFormFieldsWithRelatedItems" Render this template and return it? In short, i would like to create RenderingTemplate programmatically, on-the-fly and then use this template to render list's new form. Advantages I get the advantage of Idea 1 + This way i would get a bonus even if Template changes (from ListForm to CompanyCustomListForm) and my custom form won't loose my implemented functionality if i choose to change content type's rendering template later on (i can create other features not trying to rembeer to reimplement this particular stuff or other 3rd party features won't override my functionality if they use custom forms - loose coupling is it?). Now, is this (Idea #2) possible...?

  • MOSS Sharepoint - Holiday Approval /tracking

    - by nav
Hi, Has anyone implemented a holiday workflow approval / tracking list in MOSS Sharepoint 2007? Can anyone suggests other solutions? The solution below works fine but I am specifically looking for a way to lookup manager of the user who created the holiday request list item in the workflow. I have followed this link http://www.u2u.info/Blogs/Kevin/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=39 which shows you how to create a custom workflow approval. Below are the steps outlined by the link. User add new holiday item to list Workflow kicks off Wf has the manager hardcoded (need a way to look this up, maybe from AD??) and creates a Task for them to review the request. If desired, this can include an email notification of the task Manager reviews, adds comments and approves/denies request User is notified of completed request Many Thanks, Naveen

  • Is there a dojo enhanced grid example with context menu

    - by user102023
I am looking for an example of a dojo enhanced grid that contains a context menu on either a cell or row menu where the cell or row data is accessed. I have managed to create an enhanced grid with a row context menu. I can create a function that captures the event of clicking on the row menu item. However, I am not sure how to access the row data in the context of the menu item handler. I have not seen any example in the tests of the nightly build. Is there an example of this available online?

  • Escape apostrophe when passing parameter in onclick event

    - by RememberME
    I'm passing the company name to an onclick event. Some company names have apostrophes in them. I added '.Replace("'", "'")' to the company_name field. This allows the onclick event to fire, but the confirm message displays as "Jane's Welding Company". <a href="#" onclick="return Actionclick('<%= Url.Action("Activate", new {id = item.company_id}) %>', '<%= Html.Encode(item.company1.company_name.Replace("'", "&#39;")) %>');" class="fg-button fg-button-icon-solo ui-state-default ui-corner-all"><span class="ui-icon ui-icon-refresh"></span></a> <script type="text/javascript"> function Actionclick(url, companyName) { if (confirm('This action will activate this company\'s primary company ('+companyName+') and all of its other subsidiaries. Continue?')) { location.href = url; }; };

  • Display separator in Sharepoint AspMenu control

    - by Ryan Eastabrook
All I'm trying to do is display a separator (I've tried images & stylesheets) between the primary navigation menu items in Sharepoint. Here is what I want it to look like: Home | Menu1 | Menu2 | Menu3 When I attempt to use the StaticTopSeparatorImageUrl (using a bar image) it results in the following: Home | Menu1 | Menu2 | Menu3 | This is obviously not a separator, and when I use the StaticBottomSeparatorImageUrl the opposite happens. I also tried to style the ms-topnav class to have a left border, which doesn't work because the control doesn't identify the first (or last) item in the menu... So, my next option was to use the Telerik RadMenu, after fighting to get it into Sharepoint I had difficulties getting it to display like the Sharepoint Menu using the SiteMapDataSource (display only the Home item and no children). This seems SO simple, but it is Sharepoint, so nothing is really simple. I'm wondering if there is either a way to make the default Sharepoint separator work correctly that I might have missed, or is there a GOOD Sharepoint menu replacement that actually takes styling into account?

  • ItemsControl.ItemsSource MVVM performance

    - by bitbonk
I have an (non-virtualized) ItemsControl that binds its ItemsSource to a ObeservableCollection of ViewModel instances. Now once the large amount Model instances is loaded all the ViewModel complemnents needs to be added to that ObservableCollection. How can I add a large amount of ViewModels without making the UI Thread hang? I suppose the UI Thread hangs because each time a new item is added the ItemsControl needs to update itself and does layout etc. over and over again. Should I suspend the binding add all items and then resume? If so, how? Should I override the ObservableCollection to implement an AddRange so only 1 CollectionChanged Event is fired for adding multiple items? Or alternatively just replace the whole collection? Or is it better to add each items separately and call Dispatcher.Invoke for each item separately? So I would unblock frequently. How do you handle large dynamic lists that can not be virtualized?

    - by Maen
I used to run web applications all the time on my laptop, no problems, I am using VWD 2008 Express, i have the latest framework, Windows Vista Home Basic...etc.. Now, when ever i try to run a website, or even chose to Show a Page in Browser from Within VWD, the browser (both IE and Firefox) keeps looking for www.localhost.com... I tried to copy the address of and paste it directly in the title bar, nothing, same problem i tried to get that address from the balloon notification (the one that pops up when you run any ASP.net project), still nothing happens... My colleague is facing the same problem, but for him, he can simply copy and paste the url in the address bar, but its not working with me....Heeeeeellllllllllllllllp

  • UITableView custom popping

    - by ckrames1234
Okay, I made an app that has a list of items as a main view, and when you select an item it pushes a detail view controller. In this detail view controller you can switch between items. I want to be able to push a view, scroll a few items, and pop the view as if the current item was initially selected. I want to push a view, and then when i pop it, i want it to look like a different view was initially pushed. Here's a rough image, because its hard to explain in writing: http://96.248.81.29:83/misc/PushPopSituation.png (Thats a fixed IP, its not going anywhere) If anyone knows how I could do something like this, it would be a great help to me.

  • Getting ANT to scp only new/changed files

    - by Artem
I would like to optimize my scp deployment which currently copies all files to only copy files that have changed since the last build. I believe it should be possible with the current setup somehow, but I don't know how to do this. I have the following: Project/src/blah/blah/ <---- files I am editing (mostly PHP in this case, some static assets) Project/build <------- I have a local build step that I use to copy the files to here I have an scp task right now that copies all of Project/build out to a remote server when I need it. Is it possible to somehow take advantage of this extra "build" directory to accomplish what I want -- meaning I only want to upload the "diff" between src/** and build/**. Is it possible to somehow retrieve this as a fileset in ANT and then scp that? I do realize that what it means is that if I somehow delete/mess around with files on the server in between, the ANT script would not notice, but for me this is okay.

  • How to create an ObservableCollection using LINQ in Silverlight

    - by sonofpirate
In a non-Silverlight world, it is easy to use LINQ to create an ObservableCollection. This is because the ObservableCollection class has constructors that accept any IEnumerable<T or List<T. However, the Silverlight version does not! This means that code such as: var list = (from item in e.Result select new ViewModel(item)).ToList(); Items = new System.Collections.ObjectModel.ObservableCollection<ViewModel>(list); will not work in Silverlight. Is there another option to make this work besides resorting to a for-each statement?

  • How can you add a UIGestureRecognizer to a UIBarButtonItem as in the common undo/redo UIPopoverContr

    - by SG
Problem In my iPad app, I cannot attach a popover to a button bar item only after press-and-hold events. But this seems to be standard for undo/redo. How do other apps do this? Background I have an undo button (UIBarButtonSystemItemUndo) in the toolbar of my UIKit (iPad) app. When I press the undo button, it fires it's action which is undo:, and that executes correctly. However, the "standard UE convention" for undo/redo on iPad is that pressing undo executes an undo but pressing and holding the button reveals a popover controller where the user selected either "undo" or "redo" until the controller is dismissed. The normal way to attach a popover controller is with presentPopoverFromBarButtonItem:, and I can configure this easily enough. To get this to show only after press-and-hold we have to set a view to respond to "long press" gesture events as in this snippet: UILongPressGestureRecognizer *longPressOnUndoGesture = [[UILongPressGestureRecognizer alloc] initWithTarget:self action:@selector(handleLongPressOnUndoGesture:)]; //Broken because there is no customView in a UIBarButtonSystemItemUndo item [self.undoButtonItem.customView addGestureRecognizer:longPressOnUndoGesture]; [longPressOnUndoGesture release]; With this, after a press-and-hold on the view the method handleLongPressOnUndoGesture: will get called, and within this method I will configure and display the popover for undo/redo. So far, so good. The problem with this is that there is no view to attach to. self.undoButtonItem is a UIButtonBarItem, not a view. Possible solutions 1) [The ideal] Attach the gesture recognizer to the button bar item. It is possible to attach a gesture recognizer to a view, but UIButtonBarItem is not a view. It does have a property for .customView, but that property is nil when the buttonbaritem is a standard system type (in this case it is). 2) Use another view. I could use the UIToolbar but that would require some weird hit-testing and be an all around hack, if even possible in the first place. There is no other alternative view to use that I can think of. 3) Use the customView property. Standard types like UIBarButtonSystemItemUndo have no customView (it is nil). Setting the customView will erase the standard contents which it needs to have. This would amount to re-implementing all the look and function of UIBarButtonSystemItemUndo, again if even possible to do. Question How can I attach a gesture recognizer to this "button"? More specifically, how can I implement the standard press-and-hold-to-show-redo-popover in an iPad app? Ideas? Thank you very much, especially if someone actually has this working in their app (I'm thinking of you, omni) and wants to share...

  • Subjective question...would you use the Action delegate to avoid duplication of code?

    - by Seth Spearman
Hello, I just asked a question that helps about using generics (or polymorphism) to avoid duplication of code. I am really trying to follow the DRY principle. So I just ran into the following code... Sub OutputDataToExcel() OutputLine("Output DataBlocks", 1) OutputDataBlocks() OutputLine("") OutputLine("Output Numbered Inventory", 1) OutputNumberedInventory() OutputLine("") OutputLine("Output Item Summaries", 1) OutputItemSummaries() OutputLine("") End Sub Should I rewrite this code to be as follows using the Action delegate... Sub OutputDataToExcel() OutputData("Output DataBlocks", New Action(AddressOf OutputDataBlocks)) OutputData("Output Numbered Inventory", New Action(AddressOf OutputNumberedInventory)) OutputData("Output Item Summaries", New Action(AddressOf OutputItemSummaries)) End Sub Sub OutputData(ByVal outputDescription As String, ByVal outputType As Action) OutputLine(outputDescription, 1) outputType() OutputLine("") End Sub I realize this question is subjective. I am just wondering about how religiously you follow DRY. Would you do this? Seth

    Apologies if this is a dupe, but I can't seem to find a rational solution for what must be a fairly simple issue. <Window x:Class="FeedTest.MainWindow" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" Title="MainWindow" Height="350" Width="525"> <Window.Resources> <XmlNamespaceMappingCollection x:Key="map"> <XmlNamespaceMapping Prefix="media" Uri="http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/" /> </XmlNamespaceMappingCollection> <XmlDataProvider x:Key="newsFeed" XPath="//item[string-length(title)>0]" Source="http://newsrss.bbc.co.uk/rss/newsonline_uk_edition/uk/rss.xml" /> <DataTemplate x:Key="rowDetailTemplate"> <Border BorderThickness="2"> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal"> <Image Source="{Binding XPath=media:thumbnail/@url}" Width="66" Height="49" /> <StackPanel Orientation="Vertical" Margin="5"> <TextBlock Text="{Binding XPath=description}" TextWrapping="Wrap" /> </StackPanel> </StackPanel> </Border> </DataTemplate> <Style TargetType="{x:Type DataGrid}"> <Setter Property="GridLinesVisibility" Value="None" /> </Style> </Window.Resources> <Grid Binding.XmlNamespaceManager="{StaticResource map}"> <DataGrid AutoGenerateColumns="False" ItemsSource="{Binding Source={StaticResource newsFeed}}" RowDetailsVisibilityMode="VisibleWhenSelected" RowDetailsTemplate="{StaticResource rowDetailTemplate}"> <DataGrid.Columns> <DataGridTextColumn Header="Title" Binding="{Binding XPath=title}" MinWidth="150" Width="*" /> </DataGrid.Columns> </DataGrid> </Grid> The attached XAML gets a news feed, and displays the title of each item in a DataGrid. Selecting an item shows the RowDetailsTemplate which is where my problem lies - why does the RowDetailsTemplate expand beyond the width of the containing DataGrid (thus forcing a horizontal scrollbar), and more importantly, how do I stop it doing this? Many thanks.

  • Using JAXB to unmarshal/marshal a List<String> - Inheritance

    - by gerry
    I've build the following case. An interface for all JAXBLists: public interface JaxbList<T> { public abstract List<T> getList(); } And an base implementation: @XmlRootElement(name="list") public class JaxbBaseList<T> implements JaxbList<T>{ protected List<T> list; public JaxbBaseList(){} public JaxbBaseList(List<T> list){ this.list=list; } @XmlElement(name="item" ) public List<T> getList(){ return list; } } As well as an implementation for a list of URIs: @XmlRootElement(name="uris") public class JaxbUriList2 extends JaxbBaseList<String> { public JaxbUriList2() { super(); } public JaxbUriList2(List<String> list){ super(list); } @Override @XmlElement(name="uri") public List<String> getList() { return list; } } And I'm using the List in the following way: public JaxbList<String> init(@QueryParam("amount") int amount){ List<String> entityList = new Vector<String>(); ... enityList.add("http://uri"); ... return new JaxbUriList2(entityList); } I thought the output should be: <uris> <uri> http://uri </uri> ... </uris> But it is something like this: <uris> <item xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xsi:type="xs:string"> http://uri </item> ... <uri> http://uri </uri> ... </uris> I think it has something to do with the inheritance, but I don't get it... What's the problem? - How can I fix it? Thanks in advance!

  • CSRF (Cross-site request forgery) attack example and prevention in PHP

    - by Saif Bechan
I have an website where people can place a vote like this: http://mysite.com/vote/25 This will place a vote on item 25. I want to only make this available for registered users, and only if they want to do this. Now I know when someone is busy on the website, and someone gives them a link like this: http://mysite.com/vote/30 then the vote will be places for him on the item without him wanting to do this. I have read the explanation on the OWASP website, but i don't really understand it Is this an example of CSFR, and how can I prevent this. The best thing i can think off is adding something to the link like a hash. But this will be quite irritating to put something on the end of all the links. Is there no other way of doing this. Another thing can someone maybe give me some other example of this, because the website seems fairly fugue to me.

  • MSHTML - Auto Click for javascript confirm dialog

    - by Soliton
I try to automatically parse/submit web page using MSHTML (in C#.Net 3.1 WPF WebBrowser control). I can fill the forms, click buttons, naviagate pages without problems. But do not know how to automatically click "ok" button on javascript confirmation dialog which appear when I click "Submit" button. C# code: mshtml.IHTMLDocument2 doc = (mshtml.IHTMLDocument2)webBrowser.Document; mshtml.IHTMLFormElement form = doc.forms.item("inputForm", 0) as mshtml.IHTMLFormElement; mshtml.IHTMLElement btnSubmit = form.item("btnFormSubmit", null) as mshtml.IHTMLElement; btnSubmit.click(); The confirmation dialog ("Are you sure?" appears. I want somehow to send "Enter" keystroke to MSHTML document to automatically confirm the submission.

  • Some help needed with setting up the PERFECT workflow for web development with 2-3 guys using subver

    - by Roeland
Hey guys! I run a small web development company along side with my brother and friend. After doing extensive research I have decided on using subversion for version control. Here is how I currently plan on running typical development. Keep in mind there are 3 of us each in a separate location. I set up an account with springloops (springloops.com) subversion hosting. Each time I work on a new project, I create a repository for it. So lets say in this case I am working on site1. I want to have 3 versions of the site on the internet: Web Development - This is the server me and the other developers publish to. (site1.dev.bythepixel.com) Client Preview - This is the server that we update every few days with a good revision for the client to see. (site1.bythepixel.com) Live Site - The site I publish to when going live (site1.com) Each web development machine (at each location) will have a local copy of xamp running virtual host to allow multiple websites to be worked on. The root of the local copy is set up to be the same as the local copy of the subversion repository. This is set up so we can make small tweaks and preview them immediately. When some work has been done, a commit is made to the repository for the site. I will have the dev site automatically be pushed (its an option in springloops). Then, whenever I feel ready to push to the client site I will do so. Now, I have a few concerns with those work flow: I am using codeigniter currently, and in the config file I generally set the root of the site. Ex. http://www.site1.com. So, it looks like each time I publish to one of the internet servers, I will have to modify the config file? Is there any way to make it so certain files are set for each server? So when I hit publish to client preview it just uploads the config file for the client preview server. I don't want the live site , the client preview site and the dev site to share the same mysql server for a variety of reasons. So does this once again mean that I have to adjust the db server info each time I push to a different site? Does this workflow make sense? If you have any suggestion please let me know. I plan for this to be the work flow I use for the next few year. I just need to put a system in place that allows for future expansion! Thanks a bunch!!
