  Hi there, Does anyone know of a good link to explain how to use the web.config...... For example, i am using forms authentication... and i notice there is a system.web and then it closed /system.web and then below configuration there are additional location tags here is an example, if you ntoice there is an authentication mode=forms with authorization i presume this is the ROOT....... It is also self contained within a system.web .... Below this there are more location= with system.web tags.... I have never really understand what i am actually doing.. I have tried checkign the MSDN documentation but still i don't fully understand up.... Can anyone help?   I am fairly new to WPF, and am a bit stuck, so any help would be appreciated. I am trying to write WPF custom control that encapsulates several elements of functionality that I already having working (i.e sorting, filtering, standard menus, etc.), but in a nice neat package to avoid repetition.   I am currently documenting all of Perl 5's operators (see the perlopref GitHub project) and I have decided to include Perl 5's pseudo-operators as well. To me, a pseudo-operator in Perl is anything that looks like an operator, but is really more than one operator or a some other piece of syntax. I have documented the four I am familiar with already: ()= the countof operator =()= the goatse/countof operator ~~ the scalar context operator }{ the Eskimo-kiss operator What other names exist for these pseudo-operators, and do you know of any pseudo-operators I have missed? =head1 Pseudo-operators There are idioms in Perl 5 that appear to be operators, but are really a combination of several operators or pieces of syntax. These pseudo-operators have the precedence of the constituent parts. =head2 ()= X =head3 Description This pseudo-operator is the list assignment operator (aka the countof operator). It is made up of two items C<()>, and C<=>. In scalar context it returns the number of items in the list X. In list context it returns an empty list. It is useful when you have something that returns a list and you want to know the number of items in that list and don't care about the list's contents. It is needed because the comma operator returns the last item in the sequence rather than the number of items in the sequence when it is placed in scalar context. It works because the assignment operator returns the number of items available to be assigned when its left hand side has list context. It is made up of an closing brace and an opening brace. It is used when using C<perl> as a command-line program with the C<-n> or C<-p> options. It has the effect of running X inside of the loop created by C<-n> or C<-p> and running Y at the end of the program. It works because the closing brace closes the loop created by C<-n> or C<-p> and the opening brace creates a new bare block that is closed by the loop's original ending. You can see this behavior by using the L<B::Deparse> module. Here is the command C<perl -ne 'print $_;'> deparsed: LINE: while (defined($_ = <ARGV>)) { print $_; } Notice how the original code was wrapped with the C<while> loop. • jquery sortable item cached? #sortable items: '.class1' filter is not working when class is changed

• Aquatic Prime on 10.6?

  Hello, I have 2 applications that I use with Aquatic Prime. One is an application just with the Aquatic Prime framework, and the other is an application that I've been working on that has been incorporated with the Aquatic Prime framework. The first application I mentioned before has its SDK set to 10.5 with the architecture to 32-bit. The second application I made has its SDK that is set to 10.6 (which it has to since I need NSRunningApplication) and its architecture to 32-bit. Now my question is, whenever I debug my first application it works perfectly fine, but with my second it gives me this interrupted error right after Running. What's going wrong? I've tried doing some breakpoints like "objc-exception-throw" but all it says is stopped at breakpoint 1. I need 10.6 in my application, but I also need Aquatic Prime. Can anyone help me solve this problem? • DataContractSerializer and XSLT not Serializing Class Properties

  I've written a simple Employee class that I'm trying to serialize to an XDocument and then use XSLT to transform the document to a page that displays both the properties (Name and ID) from the Employee class, and an html form with 2 radio buttons (Approve and Reject) and a submit button. Does anyone know what needs to be done so that my transform will select and display both the Employee properties and the html form?

• trying to divide complex numbers, division by zero

  I'm trying the program below to divide complex numbers, it works for complex numbers but not when the denominator is real (i.e, the complex part is zero). Division by zero occurs in this line ratio = b->r / b->i ;, when the complex part b->i is zero (in the case of a real denominator). How do I get around this? and why did the programmer do this, instead of the more straightforward rule for complex division The wikipedia rule seems to be better, and no division by zero error would occur here. Did I miss something? Why did the programmer not use the wikipedia formula?? • Android Market: Application not visible on some Devices

  Hello, i have written an application that needs to process outgoing calls. Everything works fine, the application has already a few hundred downloads, but now i get feedback from people who would like to download it, yet cannot find it. I have done some tests and have found that the permission "PROCESS_OUTGOING_CALLS" seems to be responsible for this. If i include it in an app, people with branded phones (at least in Germany) cannot find it, as soon as i remove this permission, everything is fine (when i re-insert it again, the app vanishes again) The weird thing is, that those users can see other apps which use this permission in the market. I have compared my manifest file to outputs from other manifest files and cannot understand why it doesn't work.   I have a RetrieveBlob.aspx that gets some query string variables and returns an asset. Eeach url corresponds to a unique asset. In the RetrieveBlob.aspx a Cache Profile is set. In Web.Config the profile looks like (under system.web tag: <caching> <outputCache enableOutputCache="true" /> <outputCacheSettings> <outputCacheProfiles> <add duration="14800" enabled="true" varyByParam="*" name="AssetCacheProfile" /> </outputCacheProfiles> </outputCacheSettings> </caching> Ok, this works fine. When I put a breakpoint in the code behind of RetrieveBlob.aspx, it gets triggered the first time, and all the other times not. So the output SHOULD be: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <rss xmlns:itunes="http://www.itunes.com/dtds/podcast-1.0.dtd" version="2.0"> <channel> etc. I've been over and over the manual and forums, just can't get it right. If I put, near the footer: header("Content-Type: text/xml"); echo '<rss xmlns:itunes="http://www.itunes.com/dtds/podcast-1.0.dtd" version="2.0">'; echo $xml_generator->asXML(); ?> Then it sort of looks right in firefox and it doesn't complain about undefined namespaces anymore, but feedvalidator complains that line 1, column 77: XML parsing error: :1:77: xml declaration not at start of external entity [help] because the document now starts: <rss xmlns:itunes="http://www.itunes.com/dtds/podcast-1.0.dtd" version="2.0"><?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> and not <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><rss xmlns:itunes="http://www.itunes.com/dtds/podcast-1.0.dtd" version="2.0"> Thank you in advance.

  I have two tables like the ones below. I need to find what exchangeRate was in effect at the dateOfPurchase. I've tried some correlated sub queries, but I'm having difficulty getting the correlated record to be used in the sub queries. I expect a solution will need to follow this basic outline: SELECT only the exchangeRates for the applicable countryCode From 1. SELECT the newest exchangeRate less than the dateOfPurchase Fill in the query table with all the fields from 2. and the purchasesTable.   Hi, I'm working on a servlet that makes a connection to a database gets the information of one of the tables ans sends this information to a jsp file. This file will print on the brower the information table, adding radio buttons that allows us to choose one of the rows.   I am currently learning to create custom controls in WPF. I successfully created a simple custom control using a Label and a Text Box. I was able to allow setting the Label text by DependencyProperty. Now I am creating a user control that has a ComboBox. I need to allow adding items to this ComboBox from outside the control. To achieve this, I tried exposing a DependencyProperty of type ItemsCollection and it will allows access to the ComboBox's Items property (the DP in my control sample is named 'CbItems'). But I get errors because Items property of Combobox is ReadOnly. I am just learning about LINQ to XML in all its glory and frailty, trying to hack it to do what I want to do: Given an XML file like this - <list> <!-- random data, keys, values, etc.--> <key>FIRST_WANTED_KEY</key> <value>FIRST_WANTED_VALUE</value> <key>SECOND_WANTED_KEY</key> <value>SECOND_WANTED_VALUE</value> <!-- wanted because it's first --> <key>SECOND_WANTED_KEY</key> <value>UNWANTED_VALUE</value> <!-- not wanted because it's second --> <!-- nonexistent <key>THIRD_WANTED_KEY</key> --> <!-- nonexistent <value>THIRD_WANTED_VALUE</value> --> <!-- more stuff--> </list> I want to extract the values of a set of known "wanted keys" in a robust fashion, i.e. if SECOND_WANTED_KEY appears twice, I only want SECOND_WANTED_VALUE, not UNWANTED_VALUE. Additionally, THIRD_WANTED_KEY may or may not appear, so the query should be able to handle that as well. I can assume that FIRST_WANTED_KEY will appear before other keys, but can't assume anything about the order of the other keys - if a key appears twice, its values aren't important, I only want the first one. An anonymous data type consisting of strings is fine. I've also tried to add in a .Select(t => { if (t==null) return new XElement("SECOND_WANTED_KEY",""); else return t; }) clause in after the where, but that hasn't worked either. I'm open to suggestions, (constructive) criticism, links, references, or suggestions of phrases to Google for, etc. I've done a fair share of Googling and checking around S.O., so any help would be appreciated.   Ok so got through my last problem with the difference between Postgresql and SQLite and seems like Heroku is telling me I have another one. • How to handle float values in a plist

  I'm reading in a plist from a web server, generated with some php. When I read that into an NSArray in my iphone app, and then spit the NSArray out with NSLog to check it out, I see that the float values are treated as strings. I would like the "distance" values to be treated as numeric and not strings. This plist is displayed in a table view where it can be sorted by distance, but the problem is is distance is sorted as a string, so I get some funny sorting results. Can I convert the distance values to float from string in the NSArray? Or maybe theres a simpler solution like tweaking the plist definition, or maybe something in the NSMutableURLRequest code?   Hi I have multiple elements with the same structure in my application. Second div element's id varies as per the comment id in the db which is unique. There are elements with the id 'vote_up' and 'vote_down'. This gets repeated for each comment.What happens is that, as I mentioned, there are multiple comments. I want to perform an Ajax request. First of this structure functions properly using ajax, but the rest does an http request. • How to fix this window.open memory leak?

  Hi there, I was recently looking at this memory leak tool sIEve: http://home.orange.nl/jsrosman/ So I decided to test out the tool by creating a main page that will open up a popup window. I started by creating 3 pages: index.html, page1.html and page2.html, the index.html page will open a child window (popup) linking to page1.html. Page1 will have a anchor tag that links to page2.html, while page2 will have a link back to page1.html PROBLEM So in the tool I entered the index.html page, popup window opened to page1.html, I then clicked the page2 link, no leaks detected yet. While I'm on page2 I click the link back to page1, and that's where the tool claims there is a link. The leak seems to be happening on the index.html page and I have no idea as to why it would be doing that. Even more concerning is that I can see elements that the tool detects that aren't even on my page. Does anyone have any experience with this tool or know if this really is a memory leak? Any samples of showing how to achieve what I'm doing without memory leaks?
