    Is there some magic existing code in MVC 2 to Html.Encode() strings and allow certain html markup, like paragraph marks and breaks? (coming from a Linq to SQL database field) A horrible code example to achieve the effect: Html.Encode(Model.fieldName).Replace("&lt;br /&gt;", "<br />") What would be really nice is to overload something and pass to it an array (or object) full of allowed html tags.

However, I could not find any help on the django documentation or in the Django Book. When you want to do a UserProfile form in with Django Forms, you'd like to modify the profile fields as well as some User field. But there is no forms.UserProfileForm (yet?) ! How do you do that ?

  • gwt rounded panel (standards based widget akin to DecoratorPanel)

    I'm trying to write an app that uses rounded corners for framing the app. I've found a package on google code that has a RoundedLinePanel and it seems to work... kind of. I'm wondering a few things. Is this what people are using for creating divs with round corners in GWT? The release notes say it hasn't changed in almost a year. Also, I can't seem to set a fixed height of this div (setHeight sets it on the wrapper div, not the inner one). so it's not useful to me as I have a fixed height app. Finally, if anyone can suggest a better mechanism for creating rounded corner divs in GWT I'm all ears.

  • recaptcha still submits form when one word invalid

    Um so I was in for a little bit of a surprise tonight. I spent a good 20 mins trying to figure out why I was able to submit a form knowing that what I entered into the recaptcha field was invalid. Is it true that you don't need to input the exact words it displays? If it shows me two words and I misspelled one of the words, I still pass validation? Same goes if "hello world" and I input "hell man" it still works.

Which language requires the most? Notes: I'm asking about the length of the shortest possible "hello world" application in a given language. A newline after "Hello world" is not required. I'm not counting whitespace, but I know there is some language that uses only whitespace characters. If you use that one you can count the whitespace characters.

Many rows later... ... 185352 03-09-2012 Apple Ian Washers Tap Ltd 600 £80 I need to calculate a large set of targets from table containing values different types, target table is under my control and so far is like: TargetID Year Month Salesperson Target_Type Quantity 1 2012 7 Ian 1 6000 2 2012 8 James 2 2000 3 2012 9 Ian 2 6500 At present I am working out target types using a view of the first table which has a lot of extra columns: SELECT YEAR(Date) , MONTH(Date) , Salesperson , Quantity , CASE WHEN Manufacturer IN ('Tap Ltd','Hats Inc') AND Product_Type = 'Hats' THEN True ELSE False END AS IsType1 , CASE WHEN Manufacturer = 'Hats Inc' AND Product_Type IN ('Hats','Coats') THEN True ELSE False END AS IsType2 ... ... , CASE WHEN Manufacturer IN ('Tap Ltd','Hats Inc') AND Product_Type = 'Hats' THEN True ELSE False END AS IsType24 , CASE WHEN Manufacturer IN ('Tap Ltd','Hats Inc') AND Product_Type = 'Hats' THEN True ELSE False END AS IsType25 FROM SalesTable WHERE [some stuff here] This is horrible to read/debug and I hate it!! I've tried a few different ways of simplifying this but have been unable to get it to work. The closest I have come is to have a third table holding the definition of the types with the values for each field and the type number, this can be joined to the tables to give me the full values but I can't work out a way to cope with multiple values for each field. Finally the question: Is there a standard way this can be done or an easier/neater method other than one column for each type of target? I know this is a complex problem so if anything is unclear please let me know. Edit - What I need to get: At the very end of the process I need to have targets displayed with actual sales: Type Year Month Salesperson TargetQty ActualQty 2 2012 8 James 2000 2809 2 2012 9 Ian 6500 6251 Each row of the sales table could potentially satisfy 8 of the types. Some more points: I have 5 different columns that need to be defined against the targets (or set to NULL to include any value) I have between 30 and 40 different types that need to be defined, several of the columns could contain as many as 10 different values For point 2, if I am using a row for each permutation of values, 2 columns with 10 values each would give me 100 rows for each sales person for each month which is a lot but if this is the only way to define multiple values I will have to do this. Sorry if this makes no sense!

  • Manifest or Theme/Style for a IWebBrowser2 control?

    The IWebBrowser2 control has password edit boxes which are squares. This happened many years ago if you were on an XP machine, and you had a password edit field without a manifest file, you would get squares (no character found for the * they put in there with that font). My application has a manifest file. However I don't know how to give a manifest or set the theme or style of the control that is created. Any ideas? Thanks!

  • MVC - Calling Controller Methods

    Hello, My application is following the MVC design pattern. The problem I keep running into is needing to call methods inside a Controller class from outside that Controller class (ex. A View class wants to call a Controller method, or a Manager class wants to call a Controller method). Is calling Controller methods in this way allowed in MVC? If it's allowed, what's the proper way to do it? According to the version of MVC that I am following (there seems to be so many different versions out there), the View knows of the Model, and the Controller knows of the View. My model structure is something like this: title #default (englisch) title_de #(german) title_it #(italian) In my template I want to be able to write only <%= @model.title %> and should get the value in the right language.   • TortoiseSVN 1.6.8 missing repository browser in Branch/Tag "To URL" dialog?

    It seems that in TortoiseSVN 1.6.8 (on Windows), when you click the "To URL..." button in the Branch/Tag dialog, it now pops up a generic "browse for folders" dialog. It used to pop up a Repository Browser. Displaying a regular folder browser isn't much use, since you can't navigate to any of the tags/branches via the file system. Does anyone know if this is a regression or a deliberate change? Any possible workarounds (other than reverting to 1.6.7, which works fine)? Notes: I am running a repository on the local file system, which may yield different results to one going across a network. I'm definitely using an FSFS repository, so changes to BDB access via file:/// shouldn't apply.     I have a table and I'd like to pull one row per id with field values concatenated... In my table, for example, I have this: TM67 | 4 | 32556 TM67 | 9 | 98200 TM67 | 72 | 22300 TM99 | 2 | 23009 TM99 | 3 | 11200 And, I'd like to output: TM67| 4,9,72 | 32556,98200,22300 TM99 | 2,3 | 23009,11200 In MySQL, I was able to use GROUP_CONCAT, but that doesn't seem to work here... Is there an equivalent or another way to accomplish this?
