  • differentiate same class name in two diffent jar files

    I am developing blackberry application using BlackBerry JDE 5.0.X , in which i am using JSONOrg to parse json response now JSONOrg has few .java file which is using java.lang.Class from rt.jar file. so now the problem is BlackBerry JDE also has its version of java.lang.Class in net_rim_api.jar (which is a dependent jar file for BlackBerry) but i want to take a reference from rt.jar... so how can i differentiate a class which has a same name in two different .jar file ? Please do help..

    What I want is for the first to be turned into the second.. /widget => /widget/index.php /widget/ => /widget/index.php /widget?act=list => /widget/index.php?act=list /widget/?act=list => /widget/index.php?act=list /widget/list => /widget/index.php?act=list /widget/v2?act=list => /widget/v2.php?act=list /widget/v2/?act=list => /widget/v2.php?act=list /widget/v2/list => /widget/v2.php?act=list v2 could also be v45, basically "v\d+" act, "list" in this case, can have many values and more will be added. Any additional query parameters would just be passed on with $args, I guess. Basically URLs not specifying the version will go to index.php, which can then decide what specific version file to include. What I am afraid of happening is loops - this should sit in location /widget { right?. (As for putting the version of the API in the URL, I'm not trying to be RESTful, and target audience is small) Resources on how to do this entirely in index.php using "routers" also welcome :-/

  • I am trying to figure out the best way to understand how to cache domain objects

    I've always done this wrong, I'm sure a lot of others have too, hold a reference via a map and write through to DB etc.. I need to do this right, and I just don't know how to go about it. I know how I want my objects to be cached but not sure on how to achieve it. What complicates things is that I need to do this for a legacy system where the DB can change without notice to my application. So in the context of a web application, let's say I have a WidgetService which has several methods: Widget getWidget(); Collection<Widget> getAllWidgets(); Collection<Widget> getWidgetsByCategory(String categoryCode); Collection<Widget> getWidgetsByContainer(Integer parentContainer); Collection<Widget> getWidgetsByStatus(String status); Given this, I could decide to cache by method signature, i.e. getWidgetsByCategory("AA") would have a single cache entry, or I could cache widgets individually, which would be difficult I believe; OR, a call to any method would then first cache ALL widgets with a call to getAllWidgets() but getAllWidgets() would produce caches that match all the keys for the other method invocations. For example, take the following untested theoretical code. Using this I have the benefit of being able to cache all objects in the different ways they will be called with only single objects on the heap, whereas if I were to cache the method call invocation via say Spring It would (I believe) cache multiple copies of the objects. I really wish to try and understand the best ways to cache domain objects before I go down the wrong path and make it harder for myself later. I have read the documentation on the Ehcache website and found various articles of interest, but nothing to give a good solid technique. Since I'm working with an ERP system, some DB calls are very complicated, not that the DB is slow, but the business representation of the domain objects makes it very clumsy, coupled with the fact that there are actually 11 different DB's where information can be contained that this application is consolidating in a single view, this makes caching quite important.

    Hi All, Is there any RIM API available which will help to get the list of available network service or only Wi-Fi networks for a device and set selected network access point for any network communications? Is it possible programmatically to disable the Mobile networks like GPRS, WAP, etc? For Ex: When a application is started it should scan for WiFi connections (even if there are no previous WiFi network access points are set on device) and list the available WiFi connection. Then user will select the appropriate WiFi connection to connect for any network communication. Outside the application any internet communication (like browser or any other application) should done through same selected WiFi connection. The scanning for WiFi and setting the connection is almost similar to Blackberry WiFi Setup. If anyone know how to implement this using available RIM API and let me know its possible or not. Please share if anyone have any code snippet related to this. I am looking for OS v4.5, 4.7, and 5.0. Thanks, siddh.

    Hi, does BlackBerry has any possibility to track focus or scroll change direction? I will describe a case. On UI we have a list and some horizontal tab bar (tab bar at top and below the list actually). If User is somewhere in the middle of a list and decides to click another tab, it appears a little difficult to put focus on the Tab control, so User scrolls to the first list item and after changes focus to tab (as a result very long operation). The point here How to catch event of horizontal scroll to change currently focused tab? And after if you scroll (by trackball) vertically you go back to list. Possibly you can advice with the right approach how to resolve such issues? Thanks Lyubomyr

  • What weird encoding is movistar Venezuela sms on blackberry using?

    Send an sms using the normal GSM TextMessage API on the BlackBerry, get back garbage. It's not unicode, phone is set to 7-bit send. Byte size is only off by one. Is there some default crypto thing, or some weird encoding they use? This code works most everywhere else in the world; this definitely seems like a movistar problem. The string that comes back is random 7-bit ascii except for a few high order bytes. Needless to say the source input text is totally 7 bit chars, which should work in sms, ISO-8859 and look the same in UTF charsets. Anybody seen this or got sms working in code on movistar VZ blackberries?

    I tried using phonon to play the video but could not succeed. Off-late came to know through the Qt forums that even the latest version of Qt does not support phonon. Thats when i started using Gstreamer.Any suggestions as to how to connect the Gstreamer window with the Qt widget?My aim is to play a video using Gstreamer on the Qt widget.So how do i link the gstreamer window and the Qt widget? I am successful in getting the Id of the widget through winid(). Further with the help of Gregory Pakosz, I have added the below 2 lines of code in my application - QApplication::syncX(); gst_x_overlay_set_xwindow_id(GST_X_OVERLAY(sink), widget->winId()); However am not able to link the Qt widget with the gstreamer video window.   • Odd behavior in Django Form (readonly field/widget)

    I'm having a problem with a test app I'm writing to verify some Django functionality. The test app is a small "grade book" application that is currently using Alex Gaynor's readonly field functionality http://lazypython.blogspot.com/2008/12/building-read-only-field-in-django.html There are 2 problems which may be related. First, when I flop the comment on these 2 lines below: # myform = GradeForm(data=request.POST, instance=mygrade) myform = GradeROForm(data=request.POST, instance=mygrade) it works like I expect, except of course that the student field is changeable. When the comments are the shown way, the "studentId" field is displayed as a number (not the name, problem 1) and when I hit submit I get an error saying that studentId needs to be a Student instance. I'm at a loss as to how to fix this. I'm not wedded to Alex Gaynor's code. ANY code will work.   • Blackberry how to display message in app if device got no internet connection?

    Hello I've just started with programming for the Blackberry device. I'm using version 5 of the API. I'm building a very simple application which is just a browserfield. So far it's all working great. I can display my browserfield with the content I need. The problem I'm having now is if the device doesn't have an active internet connection I get the ugly "Error requesting content for" message. I would need to someone display my own message if the device doesn't have an active connection. Something like "You need to have an active internet connection to use this application" with an Exit button which closes the app. I've tried to find this for hours but no luck. Hopefully it's something relatively easy so I can get help here.     Whenever I add an EditText widget to the layout of my home screen widget (confusing how the term "widget" is being used twice in the Android lexicon :-/ ), I receive the "Problem Loading Widget" error box.   • QT: Scroll widget that renders directly to the DC

    I'm trying to create a widget which paints directly to the windows Device Context by calling getDC() and painting an HBITMAP to it. The widget I'm painting resides inside a scroll widget. I've implemented the paintEvent() and it does seem to paint but immediatly after painting the widget gets painted over again with a blank gray color. I've tried setting WA_PaintOnScreen and Qt::WA_NoSystemBackground but none of those help. In theory this should be possible since this is basically how the GLWidget works. What am I missing?

  • exposing subcontrols from the custom widget plugin in QT

    I am using QT 4.3. I have created one custom widget plugin. I could be able to show it in the desiner tool box as well as use it on the form with no problem. This custom widget internally holds QGroupBox, QLabel, QTextEdit. Now I want to apply the styles to individual componets of this custom widget. I want to expose these internal conrols as sub-control and style them. This would be similar to tear subcontrol of QTabWidget. In style sheet we can refer it as QTabWidget::tear... Is there any way by which I can do similar thing with my custom widget?

  • Self-expanding Widget, on mouse over

    I want to implement a widget (with some edit boxes and sliders) that would open beneath or next to a button ("Opener") when I hover it. The key is it's a temporary widget - as soon as it loses focus, I want it gone. Also, I want it to pop up right next to the Opener, ideally pointing an arrow to Opener. So, it's basically a tooltip. But it needs to be a widget with buttons and sliders and stuff like that. Is there a clever way to implement it without making a custom widget and writing handlers for all the mouse and focus events and recomputing its ideal position every time I open it or the Opener moves?
