  Hi all. I have a rectangle in .NET in which I draw an ellipse. I know the width, height and center point of that rectangle. Ofcourse the cetner point of the rectangle is also the center point of the ellipse. I know how to calculate a point on a circle, however I have no clue about an ellipse. I have those parameters and an angle, i need the point on the ellipse, can someone post the formula? I saw somewhere you need to calculate 2 points in which 2 raduises will go, the sum of the radiuses will be fixed and they will change in size accordingly. I dont know how to do that, I only have the rectange height, width and center point and ofcourse the angle I wish to find the point at. thanks for any help Shlomi

  I'm getting this message multiple times when I try to run my game: The referenced script on this Behaviour is missing For some reason, all my prefabs are missing a script that dictates something called their 'Mono Behaviour': What is the Mono Behaviour component, and what does it do? How can I fix this error? I can click the little target circle to bring up all my scripts, but that just gives me all of the scripts that I've written: So I don't really know how to replace my missing Mono Behaviour script... Maybe if I knew what it was I could have a clue how to fix it. I probably moved something. But how can I select the Mono Behaviour script (whatever it is) if the target just shows me my scripts? Update I've moved some assets in the project window, but not via the OS (Finder/Explorer) so why is this happening? Also I am told that Mono Behaviour is a script I've applied... Don't really get this...isn't the script component a reference to a script?

• Fatsest way to edit alpha of CGImage (or UIImage) with touch and then display?

  I have two image views, one on top of the another, with two different images. As the user touches the image and moves his/her finger, the top image should become transparent along the touch points with a fixed radius. (Like the PhotoChop app). Currently I am doing it this way... For each touch. Get a copy of the image buffer from CGImage of the top image. Edit the alpha channel of the buffer to create a transparent circle centered at the touch point. Create new CGImage from the buffer. Create UIImage from the CGImage and use the new UIImage as the top image view's image. This works but as you can see too many copy, creates are involved and it is slow. Can somebody please suggest me a faster way of doing the same thing?

  I'm trying to draw a circle in WP7 Silverlight using EllipseGeometry instead of Ellipse. The sample XAML in MSDN does not display anything on the canvas in Visual Studio.   I have to detect heads of people in crowd in real time.For that I detected edge from video using matlab but from edge detected video , how to identify heads that i am unable to do. I used edge detection of video because it is easy to find circle from edged video and detection of head would be easy can anyone help me or suggest me any method for head- detection in real time. I have used VGG head detector and viola jones algorithm but it is only detecting face for small size video not detecting heads for large crowd. Suggestions?

• Rewriting a simple Pygame 2D drawing function in C++

  I have a 2D list of vectors (say 20x20 / 400 points) and I am drawing these points on a screen like so: for row in grid: for point in row: pygame.draw.circle(window, white, (particle.x, particle.y), 2, 0) pygame.display.flip() #redraw the screen This works perfectly, however it's much slower then I expected. I want to rewrite this in C++ and hopefully learn some stuff (I am doing a unit on C++ atm, so it'll help) on the way. What's the easiest way to approach this? I have looked at Direct X, and have so far followed a bunch of tutorials and have drawn some rudimentary triangles. However I can't find a simple (draw point).

  Q:i have a general problem ,,when i wanna to do some thing and i find the jquery file which can do exactly what i wanna to do .. after a while i need another case and i find that another jquery file serve me and fix my problem .. after i add set of jquery files i find conflicts among those files and some features does not work or work in awkward manner ..and when i try to find which file exactly the source for those problems i find myself in closed circle cannot modify this file or cannot delete this file or cannot find that file itself at all ..sometimes the file like this:: <script src="http://jqueryjs.googlecode.com/files/jquery-1.3.js" type="text/javascript"></script> cannot modify it.. the problem has many faces ,, and i cannot really know how to handle the whole matter from the beginning... can any one give me instructions ,, advices,, notes, or explanation to prevent the problem from the beginning and how to fix it if it was happened..

• Looking for a way to draw a line between two points on a sphere in Three.js

  My app (a flight tracker) needs to draw a line between two points (cities say) on a sphere (earth) along the surface (i.e. the great circle route) using Three.js. I can think of 2 ways - (a) creating Three.js 'Line' with a set of (enough) points that I calculate manually and (b) writing the lines into the texture I use for the sphere after it's loaded but before I apply it as a texture. I can see problems with both (not even sure if (b) is possible in Three.js yet) - anyone think of a better way or have an opinion? Thanks in advance.

• Stop sign icon in VS2005 Express solution explorer

  What does a small stop sign icon on a file in solution explorer mean? Someone asked the same question a year ago Original Question but the answer provided is of no help. The icon looks like this: Suffice to say that the sign is not one presented in the VS documentation and is a UK Stop sign (red circle with a white horizontal bar) not a US one. The project is WebKit and the build process cannot find AuthenticationCF.h even though the file is present. I presume the sign might shed some light on this. Thanks, Andy

• Radius of multiple latitude/longitude points

  I have a program that takes as input an array of lat/long points. I need to perform a check on that array to ensure that all of the points are within a certain radius. So, for example, the maximum radius I will allow is 100 miles. Given an array of lat/long (coming from a MySQL database, could be 10 points could be 10000) I need to figure out if they will all fit in a circle with radius of 100 miles. Kinda stumped on how to approach this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The documentation example uses <button> elements, but it does not explicitly say whether or not icons work with input buttons. I'd like to add icons to ASP.NET Button controls which render as <input type="submit">. • Internet Explore works very slowly executing JS code

  There is a page that uses PHP to fetch search results from Google Search API and then it puts the results on the page some funny way in a circle. Code and may look crappy but seems that it works more or less fine in Firefox. When you enter a search query and click submit button or Next/Previous links, it fills the wheel with results. The problem is its work in IE. It works there very slowly and then it doesn't clear the wheel before filling in new data, but puts it over that. My friend asked me to help him with this code. Please give me a piece of advice how I can fix it. Thanks so much!

• Excel can't remember how to copy/paste

  So, maybe someone else has an idea why this happens. I have a full-fledged version of Office 2007, works fine and all that jazz. However, if I try to copy and paste query results from SSMS, or anywhere else for that matter, I have to have an instance of Excel open and then paste. I can't copy, open Excel, and then paste. The little 'wait' circle pops up for a split second but nothing is pasted. I have never ran across this with any other program. Any good explanation for this? FFIW, it's Excel 2007 running in compatibility mode.

• Graphing special functions in Matlab (2D Bessel)

  I'm trying to essentially get something like this where I can see clear ripples at the base but otherwise it's like a Gaussian: This is kind of unsatisfactory because the ripples aren't very noticeable, it has a very gritty quality that obscures the image a bit, and if you move the graph so that it's just in 2D (so it looks like a circle) I'm not even sure if it's quite like how it should be (the concentric circles seem to be more evenly spaced in the real thing). • How can I get a Dialog style activity window to fill the screen?

  I am using an activity with the dialog theme set, and I want it to be full screen. I tried all sorts of things, even going through the WindowManager to expand the window to full width and height manually, but nothing works. Apparently, a dialog window (or an activity with the dialog theme) will only expand according to its contents, but even that doesn't always work. For instance, I show a progress bar circle which has width and height set to FILL_PARENT (so does its layout container), but still, the dialog wraps around the much smaller progress bar instead of filling the screen. There must be a way of displaying something small inside a dialog window but have it expand to full screen size without its content resizing as well?

I have a form (not the main one)for getting many different data form the user and I want to pass it to a manager class for creating an object with these. The problem is that I can't have this class to use the other unit (getting circle uses) and also it doesn't have access to the manager class instance (which is in main form). So, what shall I do?   I'm working on a class that basically allows for method chaining, for setting some attrbutes for different dictionaries stored. The syntax is as follows: d = Test() d.connect().setAttrbutes(Message=Blah, Circle=True, Key=True) But there can also be other instances, so, for example: d = Test() d.initialise().setAttrbutes(Message=Blah) Now I believe that I can overwrite the "setattrbutes" function; I just don't want to create a function for each of the dictionary. Instead I want to capture the name of the previous chained function. So in the example above I would then be given "connect" and "initialise" so I know which dictionary to store these inside. I hope this makes sense. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated :)

• select subquery cause mysql server to be unresponsive

  DELETE FROM item_measurement WHERE measurement_id IN ( SELECT (-id) AS measurement_id FROM invoice_item WHERE invoice_id = 'A3722' ) I've really tried hard to find what's wrong with the code. I tried to run this in a php page, which doesn't respond. I also tried the same line in phpmyadmin, infinite spinning circle and I had to restart the server(MAMP on Mac 10.9). No error was given in browser/ If I run the delete and select separately, they both finish very quickly. I don't think it's a performance issue because the separate run took < 0.1 sec each. Thanks for any help in advance. Edit: I also found that a simple select statement will also suspend mysql: select * from item_measurement where measurement_id in (select -id from invoice_item where invoice_id='A3722')
