  • best way to create tables with Doctrine?

    assume that i start coding an application from scratch, is the best way to create tables when using Doctrine, to manually create tables in mysql and then generate models from the tables, or is it the other way around, that is to create the models in php and then generate tables from models? and if i already have a database, will the models created be optimal? cause i have heard some say that its best to create the database from scratch when using ORM, so that the relations are optimized for OOD. share your thoughts!

  • Create tunnel through an open SSH connection?

    I have a remote PC (behind NAT and firewall) set up to create a reverse SSH tunnel to my home PC/server (DMZed). Unfortunately, the tunnel hasn't been working lately. Fortunately -- I think -- the remote PC currently has an SFTP session open to the local one. My question is, can I create a tunnel back to the remote PC through that session? Or am I SOL until I can physically get in to restore the reverse tunnel on the remote PC?

  • How to create multiple SOAP webservice clients in same netbeans 6.8 project

    I have a project that is largely just to help one application make connections to an SAP server, for real-time updates. So the first web service client works fine, but I try to create a second and it seems to hang and I expect part of the problem is that it is trying to create a new Service class, but the namespace for all the webservices are identical, but the wsdl is obviously different, so it can't create the client. I can do it manually, by just having Service1, Service2, etc, or making some other change, but the issue is that Netbeans should be able to do this easily. I can't use Eclipse as the wsimport parameters that Netbeans uses works, in Eclipse I would need to do too much to make it work, so I will go with the easier tool. I don't want to create a new project for each webservice, as that just seems to be perpetuating a design error. So, how can I easily create multiple webservice clients that will all have the same target namespace, using Netbeans 6.8+?

I can do the following: create table test_type_table ( test_type_field test_type ); This gives me a table with one column, test_type_field. Is there an easy and automated way to instead create a table such that it has 2 columns, f1 and f2?.     I have several chrooted users on my server, and I want to install git for specific users. I block at the command : git config --global user.name "user_name" I use this command connected as the user, and I got this error : error: could not lock config file /home/username/.gitconfig: Permission denied I tried to create the file from root, and then put chmod 755 and chown username .gitconfig, but I get the error.     Let's say I needed to make a series of String[] objects. I know that if i wanted to make a string array called "test" to hold 3 Strings I could do String[] test = new String[3]; But let's say I needed to make a series of these arrays and I wanted them to be named, 1,2, 3, 4, 5... etc. For however many I needed and I didn't know how many I'd need. How do I achieve a similar effect to this: for (int k=0; k=5; k++){ String[] k = new String[3]; } Which would created 5 string arrays named 1 through 5. Basically I want to be able to create array objects with a name detemined by some other function. Why can't I seem to do this? Am I just being stupid?

  • emacsclient: create a frame if a frame does not exist

    I start emacs server using emacs --daemon then open files using emacsclient filename.ext but the first file has to be opened using emacsclient -c filename.ext in order to create a new frame which can be later used by subsequent files without using -c command line flag for emacsclient. I want to automate this. "if there is no emacs frame, emacsclient should create a frame else it should use the current frame". How can it be done?

  • IIS Manager won't let me create an application

    Had a thing at work today on a Windows Server 2003 box. In IIS Manager I'm trying to create an application for a directory. So I've brought up the properties dialog and clicked the "Create" button and it did absolutely nothing - no error, the application name box stays greyed out and there's no gear icon on the folder. Also there was no event log message. Has anyone seen this happen or know of a solution?

I am unable to insert the row. why? Is it possible to insert the row without waiting for Client 1 to commit.
