    So, let's say you have a notebook, and you encrypt the entire hard drive. Whenever you boot it's gonna ask for a password, meaning nobody can access your data without the password.   • Dynamic IP and spam filtering

    Is it possible to filter incoming spam when the mail server is hosted on a dynamic IP. Static IP is not an option at the moment. Outgoing mail is relayed through a third party service which works great, but I am not sure how I could filter incoming mail within Domino. Has anyone figured out how to do achieve this? Or I am limited to what Domino has to offer to control spam and doing it manually by creating mail rules?

So how can I add google.ie to IE9, only options searching iegallery are .com, .co.uk but no .ie TIA edit had a brainwave to search the registry and found the entry for it. HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerSearch Scopes and find the entry for the google search url

    Hi Im trying to print a php generated document in chrome, on the browser it looks fine But my printer will not print any coloured backgrounds. I know that IE has an option to print background but chrome does not .     I have been forced to move from a Centos Dom0 xen 3 Centos + Ubuntu Lucid DomUs To Debian Wheezy Dom0 Xen 4 Ubuntu Lucid DomUs However although I can create new DomUs on wheezy I cannot get them to boot. pygrub returns Error: Bootloader didn't return any data I have ensured that the disks are the correct way around in the xen.cfg and also that the grub config is correct. If I try to run pygrub manually eg /usr/bin/pygrub /dev/volgroup/disk I get Illegal instruction can anyone offer me any advice on this? Thanks Matt

    Many companies offer unlimited online backup space for a fixed price (mozy.com, twitter.com/allmydata, onlinestoragesolution.com, etc), but they either use proprietary non-Linux-friendly software and/or have gone out of business and/or don't actually work. Who offers reliable unlimited online backup space for a fixed price that's compatible with rsync, FTP, or other generic/open source file transfer protocols? Or, has anyone written software that lets me treat Mozy's/etc space as though it were regular file space (eg, "mozyfs"?)

  • How do I make Mail.app quit after iCal sends an alert?

    iCal uses a built in script file to email reminders through Mail.app. It works great, but I don't use Mail.app for my main email account, just for sending calendar notifications. So, Mail.app opens and sends the alert, but then it stays open. I've tried to edit the applescript file to make it quit Mail, but that doesn't seem to work. Can anyone offer some advice? Thanks :-)

I've not yet moved from Windows for a few reasons: It's used in my workplace. I have an extensive application base that does whatever I need (and they're all on a portable hdd) I am familiar developing software on Windows. So, what about Linux keeps you from moving to it, or what does your current desktop OS offer that Linux does not?

They like the price of PayPal, but don't really like the interface. Could I offer them an alternative service to PayPal that would allow me to setup a checkout page directly on their website and not require their users to create accounts?

    I have recently discovered Digital Ocean and I have found it to be a relatively nice experience for small staging servers, and the thought occurred to me, why am I paying $267~ for a server on Rackspace (40GB RAM, 160 GB Drive, 2 vCPUs, 400 Mb/s) when Digital Ocean offers a server for $40 (40 GB RAM, 60GB Drive [storage is not a concern of mine], 2 vCPUs, ?Mb/s)? Does Rackspace offer some kind of obvious advantages in Transfer speed/bandwidth? My applications are small startups that for the immediate future will only have about 200-300 concurrent users at once.
