  • Fiddler not sniffing SOAP traffic from ASP.NET website

    So far I've been successfully using fiddler to sniff web service traffic from both test fixtures, console apps and web projects. Today I noticed I am not able anymore to sniff that kind of traffic if I am running my web application (it's a ASP.NET website, hosted locally on IIS). I see all the local traffic but the web service traffic is just gone (the service is being hit as I do see the response debugging into the code). I am still able to successfully sniff soap requests and responses from test fixtures or console apps in the same solution (exact same environment). If it was a windows (I am on Win7) security update or the likes it would never work I guess (unless it affects only traffic routed through IIS). What should I be looking for that could cause the emergence this behavior? Any pointers appreciated!

    I maintain a database of articles with HTML formatting. Unfortunately the editors who wrote articles didn't know proper HTML, so they often have written stuff like: <div class="highlight"><html><head></head><body><p>Note that ...</p></html></div> I tried using HTML::TreeBuilder to parse this HTML but after parsing it and dumping the resulting tree, all the elements between <div class="highlight">...</div> are gone. I'm left with just <div class="highlight"></div>. The editors often have also done things like: <div class="article"><style>@font-face { font-family: "Cambria"; }</style>Article starts here</div> Parsing this with HTML::TreeBuilder results in empty <div class="article"></div> again. Any ideas how to approach this broken HTML and actually make sense out of it?

    Greetings, In my current project, I have gridview, search button, text box for search, text box, and submit button. -I should input string in the search box then click search button. -when click search button, it will retrieve all matches records then bind them to the view grid. -then when I click a record in the gridview, it should bound a field to the second text box. finally I should submit the page by clicking in submit button. where is the problem: -the problme that I'm using jquery validation plugin that will make second text box is required. -when I click search button will not allow postback until I write some thing in second text box.   • UITableView backgroundColor always gray on iPad

    Hi, When I set the backgroundColor for my UITableView it works fine on iPhone (device and simulator) but NOT on the iPad simulator. Instead I get a light gray background for any color I set including groupTableViewBackgroundColor. Steps to reproduce: Create a new navigation-based project. Open RootViewController.xib and set the table view style to "Grouped". Add this responder to the RootViewController:- (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; self.view.backgroundColor = [UIColor blackColor]; } Select Simulator SDK 3.2, build and run. You will get a black background (device and simulator). Select your target in the project tree. Click on Project : Upgrade Current Target for iPad. Build and run. You will get a light gray background. Revert the table view style to Plain and you will get a black background. Thanks for your help!

  • Telerik RadEditor for MOSS - How do I suppress min-width inline CSS?

    I'm having an issue with the RadEditor for MOSS, I'm really baffled as to the source of this issue. I tried using Firebug to find where any min-* CSS settings are happening and search came up empty, but I know it's happening because the downloaded page markup does not have that inline CSS. I believe that one of the Telerik control emitted Javascripts is what is adding inline CSS style to the top level div of the editor, namely min-height, min-width. This is causing layout issues on my page.   • WPF ComboBox Binding breaks when using ControlTemplate

    I have a WPF ComboBox that has been working fine until I recently created a ControlTemplate for it to enable me to change the color of the DropDown arrow. The ComboBox still works correctly except the Bound Text value now just shows the name of the Business Object rather than the bound value. I guess that binding like Text="{Binding Path=CaseDateRange}" no longer works when using a ControlTemplate, yet the ItemsSource binding on the dropdown seems to still work fine. Can anyone offer some help with how I need to change my binding when using a ControlTemplate. The application have a good internet connection and there is no problem reaching the app server-side api. I see in analytics that lots of startups and click-events the past few days are lost, even I know the traffic is normal since i can see statistics from the the server api. In the analytics reports I see a day by day under-reporting. So the problems seems to be spreading/growing to all the devices using this application. Im wondering why google does not answer this in their mail-groups - several people have complained about this...well, well...     Has anyone found that the userbase is more reluctant to install Silverlight 3 Apps in offline mode because they have no control over "where" the app is installed to? I've had a few issues of a similar nature in the past, with 'power users' getting upset that they can't specify install directories. Are there any workarounds? Any way to get the Silverlight offline installs to prompt for specific install locations and the like? The specific reason given is that users want to install apps to remote storage, like a USB stick or something.

    I am interested in learning MVC, and have experimented with a couple of the sample apps. As a project, I'd like to move part or all of my own office app to MVC. An important part of this app, and of ALL of my apps for customers, is the printing of invoices, purchase orders, inventory lists and so forth. In fact, one of their main criteria for judging what we do is the appearance of these documents and their incorporation into the app in a practical, intuitive way. It's impossible for me to get by without a report writer. The MSFT report viewer used to produce rdlc reports has been sufficient, and even comes up better than the competition in a couple of key areas. Does this control work with an ASP.NET MVC application?

As per requirement i need to hide all three dockcontent(i.e. A, B, C) n need to show other two (i.e. D,E). And then once particular process get over, i close D,E and show A, B, C. Then after On Focus() of C, its focus is not getting set. May i know what could be the reason for the same. Please guide me for the same. Thanks.

  • SSRS 2005 Matrix and border styles when exporting to XLS

    The Matrix in SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services 2005) seems to have issues with certain the border styles when exporting to XLS (but not PDF or web view; maybe other formats, not sure?). For example: Create a matrix and set the Matrix border style to Black Solid 1px, but all 4 of the cells to have a border style of Black None 1px. When viewed via the ASP.NET control, it looks correct. But after export to XLS, it creates borders around all of the header cells (column and row headers, and the top left cell), and even the right most data column. But all the cells in the middle of the report correctly have no border set. Update: If the Matrix borders are set to None, then the borders on the cells don't show up in XLS. So, how do you set an outer border around the Matrix, but not have it apply the 'all sides' border to every cell that touches the edge of the Matrix when exported to Excel?

The problem I am having is that every now and then (at what appears to be random) when the progress bar reaches 100% it 'hangs' and does nothing. I was wondering if any developers familiar with uploadify may have any idea how to solve this? I am in desperate need of some help.   • MS Chart Control Scale - Line graph show 12 months

    Hi, On my X Axis, I have months. The chart shows up to 11 points, i.e. Jan - Nov of the same year, but when I add 12 points (Jan - Dec), it will do an auto label thing and change the interval for every 4 months. How can I change the graph so that it shows 12 months before it does the auto labels?   • Make Android Activity looks like dialog

    Hi, I am trying to open a dialog on widget click. I have solved the problem skinning the activity started on click with android:theme="@android:style/Theme.Dialog". Unfortunately I cannot reach the same look of a dialog. This is the outcome: http://i50.tinypic.com/n15lcy.png while I would like to reach this result (except for the button, of course): h ttp://i48.tinypic.com/2ithqpc.png (the widget dialog you can see keeping the screen pushed) As you can see there are some differences: the color of the list items, the color of the text and the list item separator. Is there a predefined theme/style to obtain the same look of a standard dialog? If not, what are the steps to follow to reach that result? I have seen that the widget provided by FoxyRing has the behaviour I would like to have. Thanks

  • ASP.NET Charting Control no longer working with .NET 4

    I've just upgraded to .NET 4 and my ASP.NET Chart Control no longer displays. For .NET 3.5, the HTML produced by the control used to look like this: <img id="20_Chart" src="/ChartImg.axd?i=chart_5f6a8fd179a246a5a0f4f44fcd7d5e03_0.png&amp;g=16eb7881335e47dcba16fdfd8339ba1a" alt="" style="height:300px;width:300px;border-width:0px;" /> and now, for .NET 4, it looks like this (note the change in the source path): <img id="20_Chart" src="/Statistics/Summary/ChartImg.axd?i=chart_5f6a8fd179a246a5a0f4f44fcd7d5e03_0.png&amp;g=16eb7881335e47dcba16fdfd8339ba1a" alt="" style="height:300px;width:300px;border-width:0px;" /> The chart is in an MVC partial view that is in an MVC Area folder called "Statistics" and a MVC Views folder called "Summary" (i.e. "/Areas/Statistics/Views/Summary"), so this is obviously where the change of path is coming from. All I've done is to switch the System.Web.DataVisualization assembly from, 3.5 to 4.0. Any help greatly appreciated.

    Chrome supports the placeholder attribute on input[type=text] elements (others probably do too). But the following CSS doesn't do diddly squat: <style> input[placeholder], [placeholder], *[placeholder] { color:red !important; } </style> <input type="text" placeholder="Value" /> "Value" will still be grey (er, gray. whatever) instead of red. Is there are way to change the color of the placeholder text? p.s. I'm already using the jQuery placeholder plugin for the browsers that don't support the placeholder attribute natively.

  • Odd Drag and drag bug in nested attributes Rails

    I've got this weird bug when trying to use drag and drag for two models (one nested within another). I've a category model which has many apps. In my category index page, I tried use "content_tag_for" to sort categories and apps within each category. But for some odd reason only the first element has drag, drop enabled. I can drag and drop categories all I want, but I can't drag the app in the second category, just the first category. Copy and paste gets ridiculously hopeless with HAML, so here's a Pastie instead. I made a sample app on heroku for you to check out here. Drag and drag work for both category and app, so I'm guessing it has to do something with the ul or li. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
