  • Is it possible to configure TMG to impersonate a domain user for anonymous requests to a website?

    I would like to configure Forefront Threat Management Gateway (formerly ISA server) to impersonate a specific domain user for any anonymous request to a particular listener. For example, for any anonymous request to http://www.mycompany.com, I would like to serve up http://myinternal as though MYDOMAIN/GuestAccount were accessing the site. Is this even possible in ISA/TMG? If so, where do I go to configure this?

  • MySQL asking a user for SUPER privilege to perform a delete.

    Hello, When trying to do a delete operation on a table, mysql reports the following error: Error code 1227: Access denied; you need the SUPER privilege for this operation. However, my user has this privilege granted for all tables in the schema: GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON myschema.* TO 'my_admin'@'%' How come it asks me for SUPER privilege for a delete?     Hi, I've installed PHP5 (FastCGI) on IIS6 and is just wondering which windows user PHP uses to access the file system? With ASP.NET for example, the ASPNET account is used to access the file system. But how about PHP? I've read some post that suggest it uses the anonymous (i.e. IUSR) account. But isn't it a security breach if I give write access to the IUSR account? Thanks!

  • How do I config postfix to use multiple google apps user accounts?

    I have a postfix installation and have setup relaying through google apps, but when I send mail to postfix it relays it to google apps using the ONE account I have specified in the main.cf. Is there a way to do this more dynamically. Ideally, the user would authenticate with postfix when sending mail and postfix would use that username and password to authenticate against gmail. Is that possible or what would be the next best solution? Thanks in advance

    I run a script tailing a log in a remote server, like so: ssh userx@someip tail -f /data/current.log|python2.7 monitorlog.py There are dependencies and service requirements that disallows me to run the script off the remote server. (DB, ACLs, and path to another service is uses) Is there a way I can tail and monitor a log without using the ssh userx@someip? I thought about generating RSA keys but I think you still need a user to ssh.

  • I want a non admin user to install software. What commands do I need to add to sudoers?

    I want to edit the /etc/sudoers file so that a non-admin user can install software via the Software Center in Linux Mint 10. The reason for this is that I want a user to have the capability to install programs, but not make any other configuration changes to the system. So far I have the following (some of these may not make sense, I was just trying whatever I thought of) username ALL= /usr/bin/aptitude username ALL= /usr/bin/dpkg username ALL= /usr/local/bin/apt-get username ALL= /usr/lib/linuxmint/mintUpdate/mintUpdate.py username ALL= /usr/bin/software-center username ALL= /usr/bin/synaptic So far, it allows me to do updates without asking for my password, but it will not let me install software without entering an admin password. I am aware of this question, How can I set the Software Center to install software for non-root users?, but this goes the route of modifying the PolicyKit, whereas I'm interested in a sudo solution, because it seems a simpler way to go.

  • How to handle this unfortunately non hypothetical situation with end-users?

    I work in a medium sized company but with a very small IT force. Last year (2011), I wrote an application that is very popular with a large group of end-users. We hit a deadline at the end of last year and some functionality (I will call funcA from now on) was not added into the application that was wanted at the very end. So, this application has been running in live/production since the end of 2011, I might add without issue. Yesterday, a whole group of end-users started complaining that funcA that was never in the application is no longer working. Our priority at this company is that if an application is broken it must be fixed first prior to prioritized projects. I have compared code and queries and there is no difference since 2011, which is proofA. I then was able to get one of the end-users to admit that it never worked proofB, but since then that end-user has went back and said that it was working previously......I believe the horde of end-users has assimilated her. I have also reviewed my notes for this project which has requirements and daily updates regarding the project which specifically states, "funcA not achieved due to time constraints", proofC. I have spoken with many of them and I can see where they could be confused as they are very far from a programming background, but I also know they are intelligent enough to act in a group in order to bypass project prioritization orders in order to get functionality that they want to make their job easier. The worst part is is that now group think is setting in and my boss and the head of IT is actually starting to believe them, even though there is no code or query changes. As far as reviewing the state of the logic it is very cut and dry to the point of if 1 = 1, funcA will not work. So, this is the end of the description of my scenario, but I am trying not to get severally dinged on my performance metrics due to this which would essentially have me moved to fixing a production problem that doesn't exist that will probably take over 1 month. I am looking for direct answers to this question. This question is not for rants, polling, or discussions as this is not the format for StackExchange. Please don't downvote me too terribly it is pretty common on this specific site of stack, I am looking for honest answers to this situation and I couldn't find a forum more appropriate.

  • Why is iTunes starting and stopping play randomly, and how do I stop it?

    Since yesterday morning my copy of iTunes has been starting and stopping randomly. If iTunes is not running, then it opens and sometimes begins playing, other times sits idle. Eventually, after a random interval it will begin playing a song, and then stop, and so on... Needless to say, it's driving me mad. (Mac OSX, 10.6.3, on a new-ish (< 1 year old) 24" iMac) I've made five changes to my system that may or may not be connected to this: My office phone was replaced with a Linksys IP Phone, which necessitated a change to my networking; where previously my Mac was connected directly to the office network port, now it is connected through the phone. My network connection now uses auto link detection in lieu of forcing 100Mbit I unpaired my bluetooth headset. I removed the USB audio device associated with another headset. I upgraded to Safari 5. I don't use it as a primary browser, but it's often open to run web apps that I'm developing. All of these things happened in pretty close proximity to each other, so one or more of them may be the culprit. One other thing that may or may not be related; for some reason my built-in microphone is no longer picking up audio. It seems like this might be connected to the iTunes issue, because it happened around the same time. In terms of things that I've tried in order to solve this, I'm at a bit of a loss. I followed the instructions at http://developer.apple.com/mac/library/technotes/tn2004/tn2124.html#SECLAUNCHDLOGGING to enable detailed launchd logging to see if I could track down which process was asking iTunes to open (when it's not already open) but I wasn't able to make heads or tails of the output. I'm not even sure if I'm looking in the right place, to be honest; it actually acts like something is activating the application with AppleScript, but I have no processes running that are doing that, as far as I know. I'm running a few apps that have iTunes integration: Adium, iChat with Chax, Quicksilver. None of these have been changed lately, so I consider them low risks of causing this, but it's not impossible. Moreover, I'm not using any of those features intentionally.   • Install a web certificate on an Android device

    To gain access to WIFI at university I have to login with my user/pass credentials. The certificate of their website (the local home page that asks for the credentials) is not recognized as a trusted certificate, so we install it separately on our computers. The problem is that I don't take my laptop with me often to university, so I usually want to connect using my HTC Magic, but I have no clue on how to install the certificate separately on Android, it is always rejected. [Edit2] : this is what is stated in their website Need for installation of official certificates CyberTrust validated by the CRU (http://www.cru.fr/wiki/scs/) The certificates contain information certified to generate encryption keys for data exchange, called "sensitive" as the password of a user.
