• Please help with 'System.Data.DataRowView' does not contain a property with the name...

  My application works just fine until, in some unidentified conditions, it begins throwing this errors: When these errors start appearing, they appear in all over the application, no matter the code is built using ObjectDataSource or SqlDataSource. However, apparently, if the code uses some "classic", code-behind data-binding, that code does not throw errors (they do not show in the application event log), the page is displayed but it does not contain any data.... Please HELP tracking these very strange errors !!!!!! • Connection Error using NHibernate 3.0 with Oracle

  I'm new to NHibernate. My first attempt is to configure and establish connection to Oracle 11.1g using ODP. For this test, I use a test fixture, but I get the following error: Inner exception: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." • How to stop event bubbling with jquery live?

  Hi I am trying to stop some events but stopPropagation does not work with "live" so I am not sure what to do. I found this on their site. Live events do not bubble in the traditional manner and cannot be stopped using stopPropagation or stopImmediatePropagation. For example, take the case of two click events - one bound to "li" and another "li a". Should a click occur on the inner anchor BOTH events will be triggered. This is because when a $("li").bind("click", fn); is bound you're actually saying "Whenever a click event occurs on an LI element - or inside an LI element - trigger this click event." To stop further processing for a live event, fn must return false It says that fn must return false so what I tried to do $('.MoreAppointments').live('click', function(e) { alert("Hi"); return false; }); but that did not work so I am not sure how to make it return false. Update Here is some more information. I have a table cell and I bind a click event to it. $('#CalendarBody .DateBox').click(function(e) { AddApointment(this); }); So the AddApointment just makes some ui dialog box. Now the live code(MoreAppointments) sits in this table cell and is basically an anchor tag. So when I click on the anchor tag it first goes to the above code(addApointment - so runs that event first) runs that but does not launch my dialog box instead it goes straight to the (MoreAppointment) event and runs that code. Once that code has run it launches the dialog box from "addApointment". Update 2 Here is some of the html. • How to avoid using duplicate savepoint names in nested transactions in nested stored procs?

  I have a pattern that I almost always follow, where if I need to wrap up an operation in a transaction, I do this: BEGIN TRANSACTION SAVE TRANSACTION TX -- Stuff IF @error <> 0 ROLLBACK TRANSACTION TX COMMIT TRANSACTION That's served me well enough in the past, but after years of using this pattern (and copy-pasting the above code), I've suddenly discovered a flaw which comes as a complete shock. Quite often, I'll have a stored procedure calling other stored procedures, all of which use this same pattern. What I've discovered (to my cost) is that because I'm using the same savepoint name everywhere, I can get into a situation where my outer transaction is partially committed - precisely the opposite of the atomicity that I'm trying to achieve. I've put together an example that exhibits the problem. This is a single batch (no nested stored procs), and so it looks a little odd in that you probably wouldn't use the same savepoint name twice in the same batch, but my real-world scenario would be too confusing to post. CREATE TABLE Test (test INTEGER NOT NULL) BEGIN TRAN SAVE TRAN TX BEGIN TRAN SAVE TRAN TX INSERT INTO Test(test) VALUES (1) COMMIT TRAN TX BEGIN TRAN SAVE TRAN TX INSERT INTO Test(test) VALUES (2) COMMIT TRAN TX DELETE FROM Test ROLLBACK TRAN TX COMMIT TRAN TX SELECT * FROM Test DROP TABLE Test When I execute this, it lists one record, with value "1". In other words, even though I rolled back my outer transaction, a record was added to the table. What's happening is that the ROLLBACK TRANSACTION TX at the outer level is rolling back as far as the last SAVE TRANSACTION TX at the inner level. Now that I write this all out, I can see the logic behind it: the server is looking back through the log file, treating it as a linear stream of transactions; it doesn't understand the nesting/hierarchy implied by either the nesting of the transactions (or, in my real-world scenario, by the calls to other stored procedures). So, clearly, I need to start using unique savepoint names instead of blindly using "TX" everywhere. But - and this is where I finally get to the point - is there a way to do this in a copy-pastable way so that I can still use the same code everywhere? Can I auto-generate the savepoint name on the fly somehow? Is there a convention or best-practice for doing this sort of thing? It's not exactly hard to come up with a unique name every time you start a transaction (could base it off the SP name, or somesuch), but I do worry that eventually there would be a conflict - and you wouldn't know about it because rather than causing an error it just silently destroys your data... :-(

• jQuery: how can I clear content without getting the dreaded "stop running this script?" dialog?

  I have a div, that holds a div. like this: <div id='reportHolder' class='column'> <div id='report'> </div> </div> Within the inner div, I add a bunch (7-12) of pairs of a and div elements, like this: <h4><a>Heading1</a></h4> <div> ...content here....</div> The total size of the content, is maybe 200k. Each div just contains a fragment of HTML. After I add all the content, I then create an accordion. like this: $('#report').accordion({collapsible:true, active:false}); This all works fine. The problem is, when I try to clear or remove the report div, it takes a looooooong time, and I get 3 or 4 popups asking "Do you want to stop running this script?" I have tried several ways: option 1: $('#report').accordion('destroy'); $('#report').remove(); $("#reportHolder").html("<div id='report'> </div>"); option 2: $('#report').accordion('destroy'); $('#report').html(''); $("#reportHolder").html("<div id='report'> </div>"); option 3: $('#report').accordion('destroy'); $("#reportHolder").html("<div id='report'> </div>"); No matter what, it hangs for a long while. The call to accordion('destroy') seems to not be the source of the delay. It's the erasure of the html content within the report div. EDIT - fixed typo. ps: this happens on FF3.5 as well as IE8 . Questions: What is taking so long? How can I remove content more quickly?

  This is for http://cssfingerprint.com I collect timing stats about how fast the different methods I use perform on different browsers, etc., so that I can optimize the scraping speed. Separately, I have a report about what each method returns for a handful of URLs with known-correct values, so that I can tell which methods are bogus on which browsers. (Each is different, alas.)   I just installed Dynamics CRM 4.0. It is working nicely except for workflows. They won't start. I turned on tracing and it appears that there is an IO error. The server is setup with IFD and SSL. No issues accessing it internally or externally. If this is correct, how would one configure a CRM server for secure access, internal and external (IFD) and still allow asynch service to hit web site? Thanks for your help!

• Does oneway declaration in Android .aidl guarantee that method will be called in a separate thread?

  I am designing a framework for a client/server application for Android phones. I am fairly new to both Java and Android (but not new to programming in general, or threaded programming in particular). Sometimes my server and client will be in the same process, and sometimes they will be in different processes, depending on the exact use case. The client and server interfaces look something like the following: IServer.aidl: package com.my.application; interface IServer { /** * Register client callback object */ void registerCallback( in IClient callbackObject ); /** * Do something and report back */ void doSomething( in String what ); . . . } IClient.aidl: package com.my.application; oneway interface IClient { /** * Receive an answer */ void reportBack( in String answer ); . . . } Now here is where it gets interesting. I can foresee use cases where the client calls IServer.doSomething(), which in turn calls IClient.reportBack(), and on the basis of what is reported back, IClient.reportBack() needs to issue another call to IClient.doSomething(). The issue here is that IServer.doSomething() will not, in general, be reentrant. That's OK, as long as IClient.reportBack() is always invoked in a new thread. In that case, I can make sure that the implementation of IServer.doSomething() is always synchronized appropriately so that the call from the new thread blocks until the first call returns. If everything works the way I think it does, then by declaring the IClient interface as oneway, I guarantee this to be the case. At least, I can't think of any way that the call from IServer.doSomething() to IClient.reportBack() can return immediately (what oneway is supposed to ensure), yet IClient.reportBack still be able to reinvoke IServer.doSomething recursively in the same thread. Either a new thread in IServer must be started, or else the old IServer thread can be re-used for the inner call to IServer.doSomething(), but only after the outer call to IServer.doSomething() has returned. So my question is, does everything work the way I think it does? The Android documentation hardly mentions oneway interfaces.

• Dropdownlist and Datareader

  After trying many solutions listed on the internet I am very confused now. I have a C#/SQL web application for which I am simply trying to bind an ExecuteReader command to a Dropdownlist so the user can select a value. This is a VS2008 project on an XP OS. How it works is after the user selects a table, I use this selection as an input parameter to a method from my Datamatch.aspx.cs file. Then this Datamatch.aspx.cs file calls a method from my ADONET.cs class file. Finally this method executes a SQL procedure to return the list of columns from that table. (These are all tables in Adventureworks DB). I know that this method returns successfully the list of columns if I execute this SP in SSMS. However, I'm not sure how to tell if it works in VS or not. This should be simple. How can I do this? Here is some of my code. (This is the the instance being improperly loaded.) If, however, Province is not loaded as a transparent proxy, the Province instance which is part of RegionalFees' RegionalFeesId property has null Code and Region values, although the Id value is set correctly. It looks to me like I have a problem in how I'm joining the Province class - since if it's lazy loaded the id is set from tblRegionalFees, and it gets loaded independently afterwards - but I haven't been able to figure out the solution.

• App starts in 1.5 emulator but doesn't in 1.6

  My app works on 1.5 emulator and 1.5 device. When i try to start it on 1.6 emulator, it produces strange exceptions (doesn't even start). I don't have any 1.6 device to try this app if it works on a real device. I get some warnings in Eclipse ( warning: Ignoring InnerClasses attribute for an anonymous inner class that doesn't come with an associated EnclosingMethod attribute. This class was probably produced by a broken compiler.) and get cant rid of them (i think they come from some apache jars that i need to make http multipart posts). Is it possible that this jars are cause for my exceptions in 1.6 or is it something else? • Using FluentNHibernate + SQLite with .Net4?

  I have a WPF application running with .Net3.5 using FluentNHibernate, and all works fine. When I upgraded to VS2010 I ran into some odd problems, but after changing to use x64 variant of SQLite it worked fine again. Now I want to change to use .Net4, but this has turned into a more painful experience then I expected.. When calling FluentConfiguration.BuildConfiguration I get an exception thrown: FluentConfigurationException unhandled An invalid or incomplete configuration was used while creating a SessionFactory. Check PotentialReasons collection, and InnerException for more detail The inner exception gives us more information: Message = "Could not create the driver from NHibernate.Driver.SQLite20Driver, NHibernate, Version=2.1.2.4000, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=aa95f207798dfdb4." It has an InnerException again: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. Which again has an InnerException: The IDbCommand and IDbConnection implementation in the assembly System.Data.SQLite could not be found. Ensure that the assembly System.Data.SQLite is located in the application directory or in the Global Assembly Cache. If the assembly is in the GAC, use element in the application configuration file to specify the full name of the assembly. Now - to me it sounds like it doesn't find System.Data.SQLite.dll, but I can't understand this. Everywhere this is referenced I have "Copy Local", and I have verified that it is in every build folder for projects using SQLite. I have also copied it manually to every Debug folder of the solution - without luck. Notes: This exact same code worked just fine before I upgraded to .Net4. I did see some x64 x86 mismatch problems earlier, but I have switched to use x86 as the target platform and for all referenced dlls. I have verified that all files in the Debug-folder are x86. I have tried the precompiled Fluent dlls, I have tried compiling myself, and I have compiled my own version of Fluent using .Net4. I see that there are also others that have seen this problem, but I haven't really seen any solution yet. After @devio's answer I tried adding a reference to the SQLite dll. This didn't change anything, but I hope I made it right though..   Okay my script is supposed to delete a specific users case which is stored in 2 MySQL tables but for some reason when the user deletes the specific case it deletes all the users cases I only want it to delete the case the user selects.   Here's my issue: In my controller, I want to grab user input from a form. I then parse the input, and compare it to database values to ensure I'm grabbing the correct input. I simply want to match the user's answers to the question, grab the user ID, the question ID, and then determine if the answer applies to a multiple choice or checkbox question, or something else. I take those values and insert them into the answer table. Ignore the waiver stuff. • Rotation Matrix calculates by column not by row

  I have a class called forest and a property called fixedPositions that stores 100 points (x,y) and they are stored 250x2 (rows x columns) in MatLab. When I select 'fixedPositions', I can click scatter and it will plot the points. Now, I want to rotate the plotted points and I have a rotation matrix that will allow me to do that. The below code should work: theta = obj.heading * pi/180; apparent = [cos(theta) -sin(theta) ; sin(theta) cos(theta)] * obj.fixedPositions; But it wont. I get this error. ??? Error using == mtimes Inner matrix dimensions must agree. Error in == landmarkslandmarks.get.apparentPositions at 22 apparent = [cos(theta) -sin(theta) ; sin(theta) cos(theta)] * obj.fixedPositions; When I alter forest.fixedPositions to store the variables 2x250 instead of 250x2, the above code will work, but it wont plot. I'm going to be plotting fixedPositions constantly in a simulation, so I'd prefer to leave it as it, and make the rotation work instead. Any ideas? Also, fixed positions, is the position of the xy points as if you were looking straight ahead. i.e. heading = 0. heading is set to 45, meaning I want to rotate points clockwise 45 degrees.
