• How to disable firefox's form auto completion without change events?

  So firefox has a nifty mechanism which will try to autocomplete values in fields when a page is reloaded or the back button is used. Which is great and all except when you have something like a drop-down which when set to a value modifies the page using ajax. What winds up happening is that the browser reloads the page, the drop down is pre-filled with the remembered value, and then no change event is fired when the dom is ready. And therefore the change handlers attached don't fire and thus the page does not update. Is there a good way to "fix" this behavior so that it works for the user as expected: a) We do want the browser to auto-complete because that is a good user experience. b) Still want that onchange event firing. The only thing I can think of doing at the moment is to add an on-ready event to the document which has javascript pre-populated with initial values in the form, when the document loads the javascript will check the pre-populated values and if not matching what is in the input will trigger the change handlers. Anyone have a better solution? Is there a lib that does this already? (Using Rails 2.3.5 + jQuery)

  Hello there ! i use cocos2d-iphone-0.99.2 and integrated in it box2d. i have 2 kind of sprites with tags 1 and 2. The first time when i change fixture to sensor everything is just fine but when i try to revert and change again to solid my app crashes with the following error : Assertion failed: (manifold-pointCount 0), function b2ContactSolver, file /Documents/myapp/libs/Box2D/Dynamics/Contacts/b2ContactSolver.cpp, line 58. Is it possible somehow to change fixture-SetSensor several times and if so ... how ? Any help is highly appreciated.

  I am trying to determine the correct way of transforming all the values in a List using the new lambdas feature in the upcoming release of Java 8 without creating a **new** List. This pertains to times when a List is passed in by a caller and needs to have a function applied to change all the contents to a new value. For example, the way Collections.sort(list) changes a list in-place. • How to change database connection without compiling, using JBoss Seam?

  Hi there: I am developing a web site in Eclipse using JBoss Seam 1.2. My site uses a database (named ALregcli) hosted in a MySQL server. That database has only one table named trazasfallos. The server I am using is local (localhost). When I deploy the site in an "X HOST", the MySQL server it is not in the same computer... the server is in an "Y HOST", so, the connection will not be stablished to the database. I was changing the Context.xml, but it didn't work. The only way it worked was changing the host to connect to in the Context.xml and "recompiling" all the project. Then, it generates the new version of the compiled class trazasfallos.class, and this is the file I have to overwrite for connecting to a new database server. The point is that I want to make the change without "recompiling" anything... Maybe there is a way to make only a "text change" and it will work (maybe in a .xml file)... but I don't know how to do it!! The question is: how to change the connection to the database without recompiling anything in the site?? I am sorry about my English, I am from Cuba.

  I am working on a site http://tapasya.co.in where i just impemented mootools slideshow. But I noticed that menubar that i was using stopped working, it was supposed to drop horizontaly but it is not being displayed now. I have used jquery for it. Please see the source of the web page.   I'm using the @anywhere twitter function on the front page of my site (vocabbomb.com) and right now it works great to allow users to tweet straight away. Problem is, when they click tweet, it just reloads the twitter box, empty. I want it to load something new, like a "thank you, now fill in this email form" and show a mailchimp form.   I link contacts together in people app. Very usefull feature for me. But how can I change picture of contact? For example I link together Skype, Facebook and Gmail accounts of somebody and People app show me picture for example from Facebook for this contact. But I want set picture from Skype or Gmail. Or remove picture completely for example. Is it possible? I easily can do it on my Windows Phone 7.5, in same People app. Does Microsoft forget about this functional in windows 8?

  Disclaimer: I'm very much an accidental SharePoint admin so I greatly appreciate your patience. My SharePoint farm's database server is EOL and about to die. I have managed to get the config database (SharePoint_Config) moved over to the new database server and even managed to get the Central Administration site to use the new database server. I have even added the new database server to the farm as a content database server. My problem right now is with the web app's content database (WSS_Content). I already have a copy of the content database setup and ready to go on the new database server but, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to change the SharePoint web app's database over to it. Is this even possible? If so, how would I do it? If not, would I have to create a new web app and then restore (and overwrite) its WSS_Content database with my existing one?

  Wondering if it is possible to change the MAC address of a WiMAX USB adapter (read WiMAX, not Wi-Fi) manufactured by Motorola, ZTE, Intel etc. I've tried a few tools that did changed the MAC address of the adapter to another valid MAC address (that I coped from another equipment made by same company) but then I was not able to connect to the network, the connection software took long time stating "obtaining IP address"; then few seconds after it got one said "lost IP address". Wondering if changing MAC address of such devices actually work.

There were multiple Tools for the preview version like Windows 8 UI Tweaker or My WCP Start Screen Customizer, however none of them seem to work in the final release version of Windows 8.

  When I highlight and right-click on text in an email message in Apple Mail 4.4 (1082), I can select "Search in Google". Despite having either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox set as my default web browser within Apple Safari 5.0.3 (6533.19.4) preferences, Apple Mail will open Safari, then open a new window in Safari with the search results. How do I change the default URL handler in Apple Mail, so that searches are opened in my default browser? Or is this a known bug? Thanks for your advice!

• How to change controller numbering/enumeration in Solaris 10?

  After moving a Solaris 10 server to a new machine, the rpool disk is now c1t0d0. We have some third party applications hard coded for c0t0d0. How can I change the controller enumeration on this machine? There is no longer a c0. I've tried rebuilding the /etc/path_to_inst, but the instance numbers don't seem to match up with the controller numbers. Also, it's not clear if i86pc platforms use this file. I've tried devfsadm -C to clear the dangling links, but I'm not sure how to cause devfsadm to start numbering from 0 again (or force certain devices in the tree to a specific controller number). Next I am going to try to create the symlinks manually in /dev/dsk and rdsk to point to the correct /devices. I feel like I am going way off path here. Any suggestions? Thanks
