  Hi all, The CSS - #header { overflow: hidden; background: url(images/header-bg.png) top repeat-x #FFFFFF; position: relative; border: none; display: block; height: 125px; width:100%; } The HTML - <div id="header"> <a href="http://localhost/" title="Dev" id="logo"><img src="images/logo.png" alt="" /></a> </div> This works good in Firefox - But not in Chrome :( - The image isn't being stretched vertically in Chrome. Help! Just a note, I'm on Linux.

• Changing the size of the UISearchBar TextField ?

  I have a UITableView with an Index on the side; I want to add a UISearchBar to it, but the index overlaps with the "x" to clear the search. I've noticed in the Contacts application, the textfield within the UISearchBar is resized to accommodate this, but I can't work out how to do this in my own app. I have tried the following in my viewDidLoad, but it does not seem to work. UITextField * textField = (UITextField *)[[self.search subviews] objectAtIndex:0]; CGRect r = textField.frame; [textField setFrame:CGRectMake(r.origin.x, r.origin.y, r.size.height, r.size.width-30)]; Any ideas?

  I want to have all same size(width) cells in tableView no matter what accessory they have. If text in a cell almost fits to a cell, If i click that cell, check mark(accessory at the right) is displayed and some of characters goes to next line. it's annyoing. It's ok to do wordwrap. I can adjust cell's height. But I dont' want a cell displays different number of characters in an line depends on it's clicked or not. How can I do that?? thanks.

• rsvg doesn't render linked images

  I use the python rsvg bindings to render an svg image into cairo and save to file, which mostly works. But if the svg file contains a linked image, like so: <image href="static/usrimgs/tmpDtIKpx.png" x="10" y="10" width="600px" height="400px"></image> the image doesn't show up in the final file (the rest of the svg renders just fine). The relative path is correct based on where the script is running, but I'm guessing there's some problem with the fact that it would normally be a relative URL, not a relative filepath. How do I get around this?

  Hello, I have a custom UITableViewCell. However, when I got in edit mode, I don't have any Delete and Move indicators appearing. The custom cell draws itself in the contentView. In layoutSubviews, I make sure there is space on the left and one the right of the contentView so that the controls can appear (if this was the problem). - (void)layoutSubviews { self.contentView.frame = CGRectMake(50, 0, self.frame.size.width - 100, sub.thumbnail.size.height + 20); } In the UITableViewController, I return YES in: - (BOOL)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView canMoveRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { How could I solve this lack of interactivity. • What CSS should I use to create a series of horizontal, non-wrapping blocks?

  I have a set of dynamically generated content - anywhere between 1 and about 25 blocks (each of which I want to be about 250px wide. Clearly, this can run off-screen, but that's fine since my design allows for horizontal scrolling (using jQuery - I don't want the browser to do it with its own scroll bars). So what CSS - cross-browser - is the best approach? Floats seem to wrap unreliably, and the dynamic nature of the content which changes frequently through ajax calls - means that recalculating the container width is not very practical. Other CSS-based option?

• iframe height not taken into account by IE8

  Hi guys, I'm building a dummy widget for a iGoogle/Netvibes like portal. This is a "Google Maps" widget, as it only renders a map centered on a specific location. The widget looks good in all browsers but IE8, in which the height I specify to the <div> that contains the map is not taken into account. Here's the interesting part of the code: <body onload="initialize()" > <div id="map_canvas" style="height:400px; width: 100%;"></div> </body> I have no control on the portal, so the only thing I can modify is the widget itself. I also tried to set the height for the <body>, but same thing. Any idea on why it's not working in IE? Thanks!

• What would be a good way to scale images in c#

  I got a website which contains alot of projects with each project containing a sidebar. In this sidebar it is possible to attach images to a project. The images attached will be shown in a gallery with 3 small thumbs at the bottom and one bigger image at the top of the gallery. The big image will refresh to another image when a visitor clicks on the small thumb @ the bottom of the gallery. The thumbs are no problem, they are shown correctly. My problem is the bigger image at the top of the gallery. The images that get uploaded have a big variety of sizes, while my holder has a width of 239 and height of 179. What would be the best way to scale the images so that they are shwon correctly to the visitors of the website?

  Hi, I have a JQuery dialog that requires the user to enter certain information. In this form I have a "continue" button. I would like this "continue" button to only be enabled once all the fields have content in them else it will remain disabled. I wrote a function that is called everytime a field status has changed however I don't know how to enable and disable the dialog button from this function. Any ideas? • TToolButton Height Grows with Style = tbsDropdown

  I noticed that the height of a TToolButton increases when you set the button's Style to tbsDropdown. I can understand the width increasing, so the button has space to draw the down arrow, but I'm not sure a height increase is necessary. Steps to reproduce the issue (Delphi 2010, Windows 7 x64): Add TToolbar to a form, ShowCaptions=True Right click to add a button to the Toolbar Set button Style=tbsDropDown and notice the button grows in height The same height increase happens when there are images assigned to the toolbar, in which case there is already plenty more vertical space available in the button to draw the drop down. Here's a visual example: Is there a workaround for this without hacking the VCL, or is this hardcoded into the Windows control?

• Problem with absolute positioning div over SWF and IE 8.

  I'm attempting to use the old IFrame-over-SWF trick to get HTML to display "inside" a SWF. I'm following the example provided by Brian Deitte at: http://www.deitte.com/IFrameDemo3/IFrameDemo.html. (The source code can be viewed and downloaded by right-clicking on the SWF and selecting "View Source".) In the latest versions of Firefox, Google, Opera, and Safari on the Mac, it all looks good. But in IE 8 the absolutely positioned div containing the IFrame is positioned too far up and left, and the height and width are considerably smaller. Thoughts?

  I have a long text and I'd like to offer the user a reading help: The current line should be highlighted. To make it easier, I'll just use the Y coordinate of the mouse (this way, the mouse pointer isn't going to get in the way). I have a big DIV with the id content which fills the whole width and a small DIV with the class content for the text (see here for an example). I'm using jQuery 1.4.
