  What I'm looking for is to set up a CMS website with a tag cloud/search system where when you click a tag it shows as a search filter, and you get a new tag cloud which only shows tags from the articles that have the primary tag. This should let the user easily include or exclude tags from the search. Also i would like to let the user filter on publication date by using a slider... Check this for an example of how aquabrowser does this (just search for something and play with the tag cloud): http://kidscatalog.columbuslibrary.org It's not perfectly what I want and I don't want to use flash, but I like the concept alot. • Which VCS is efficient for storing small changes to big text files?

  A government agency publishes a text file with thousands of records. The entire file is about 60MB. Every day the file has about 60 new or changed records. We need to validate some info against that file, and for auditing purposes, we may need to recover the file as it was in certain date. I thought I could use a VCS to store the file using git, but I understand git stores the entire text file gzipped, so the 60BM file will still need about 30MB to store everyday version. I wonder if one of the free VCS stores only diff/patch files.

• Multiple network installs with cached downloads

  I tend to do lots of Ubuntu installs, and I'd like them to be up to date from the moment I do them, and not have to install a bazillion updates as soon as the install finishes. I'd also like to cache those packages somewhere on a machine on my LAN, so I don't re-download all the packages every time. How easy is this to achieve? Is there a guide somewhere to making this happen? Bonus points if I don't have to burn any CDs or use USB sticks! Edit: I have noticed a lot of guides for PXE booting and would be tempted to set this up but every time I find one they seem to be old/outdated and broken. My home server runs 10.04 LTS.

• Is there an application which organizes my "Downloads" folder automatically?

  I'm looking for an application which puts all files from my Downloads folder into a new generated folder (called like the date) per button press or automatically is able to move files to its destinated directory automatically (p.e. *.png files should be put into /home/user/pictures/random/, *.avi to /videos/, ...) If you are familiar with the DayFolder application: I'm looking for an application like that but for any folder (not only the Desktop). In my case that's Downloads because this folder gets cluttered on my PC very fast. Thanks for your advice/help!

  I have an issue with Google Analytics, can't seem to find a guide how to activate Demographics and Interests reports.   I work for a company that writes several webapps that deal with a lot of sensitive information, such as full name, date of birth, address, and SSNs. Currently we don't have anything to measure site usage, but I would like to use Google Analytics to track usage and statistics about our users. What data is sent to Google when you use Analytics? If I put this on a page that contains any of the above information, will that data be sent to Google? Or are they just getting the necessary information like user agent and IP address?

  Sometimes it can be for example 4500 requests, after a few hours it shows a few thousand less. What is wrong? It looks like analytics corrects itself. I changed from classic to Universal a few months ago, do not know if it has anything to do with this. This review closes 27 October. JSR 339,  JAX-RS 2.0: The Java API for RESTful Web Services, has published a Public Review. This review closes 12 November.
