  I am quite new in python and trying to write a script to login to the page at http://ryushare.com/login.python. I have try many attempt, but it fails to login and i have no idea why. • Shared WCF client code between .NET and Silverlight apps?

  I'm developing a .NET application that will have both a WinForms and a Silverlight client. Although the majority of code will be in the server, I'll need to have quite a bit of logic in the clients as well, and I would like to keep the client library code the same. From what I could figure out so far, I need to have two different project types, a class library and a Silverlight class library, and link the files from one project to the other. This seems kind of lame, but it works for simple code. My problem, though, is that the code generated by the SVCUtil.exe to access WCF services is different from the code generated by the slsvcutil.exe, and the silverlight code is actually incompatible with the .NET one: I get a bunch of problems with the System.ServiceModel.Channel classes when I try to import the class into .NET. Has anybody done anything similar to this before? What am I doing wrong?

• SQL Script to clear database tables.

  I have a need to take backup of a SQL Server Db with tons of data in it and import into another environment for updating and testing. Since, i am not interested in the data, i just want to recreate the schema on my other server. There is an option called 'Generate Script', but is throwing errors running them on the target server. Curious, if anyone attempted to write a SQL script that would run through all the tables in the db and clear the rows, thereby i could just create the schema backup as .bak file and restore it into another server.

  I download the Gurobi package for linear programming. I import the corresponding gurobi.jar package. Then run the example program. Then it appears the following errors: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: C:\gurobi460\win64\win64\bin\GurobiJni46.dll: Can't load AMD 64-bit .dll on a IA 32-bit platform Then I downloaded the window 64 bit Jre, and use the "window--preference--Installed JRE" to install this new JRE. • Python IPC, popen too slow

  i need to run a subprocess (./myProgram) form python script and get output, actually i do this: import subprocess proc = subprocess.Popen('./generate_out', shell=False, stdout=subprocess.PIPE, ) while proc.poll() is None: out = proc.stdout.readline() data = doStuff(out) print(data) but is slow, sometimes pass a lot of time between the output produced by ./generate_out and the print(data), knowing that my doStuff() function is very fast, i think there is some buffer slowing down my pipe... Notes: ./generate_out, generates potentially an unlimited number of lines of finite length each. It seems that when too few chars are put in the pipe between the two processes nothing happens, then when enough is produced i get a huge print (non the expected behaviour!) sometimes i wait many seconds (10-20 and more) between generate_out print and python print) what can i do? maybe communicate() is faster? anithing else? • Incremental Compilation in Eclipse. ASTNode-s and SVN versioning

  Hi there, I am building up some statistics after analyzing the source code in eclipse. But the overall process is too slow because i rebuild my model every time from scratch after each compilation. I am looking for a way to get only the changed parts of the code (as ASTNodes) and to rebuild just that part of my model. I suppose that even the changed compilation units and not the exact code elements would be enough after the user compiles and still would be a nice optimization. I am sure eclipse is capable of knowing what code elements are changed (and even to know their semantics), because when I use the subclipse plugin my changes are ordered by a code element (an import, a method, a variable declaration, etc). Well.. at least that plugin is capable of knowing that info. Thanks in advance

I was wondering if there can be any improvement in above code. Because in the statistics that program prints says: Parallel GC work balance: 1.01 (16940708 / 16772868, ideal 2) and SPARKS: 2 (1 converted, 0 overflowed, 0 dud, 0 GC'd, 1 fizzled) What are these converted , overflowed , dud, GC'd, fizzled and how can help to improve the time.

  I'm working on a program that determines if lines intersect. I'm using matrices to do this. I understand all the math concepts, but I'm new to Python and NumPy. I want to add my slope variables and yint variables to a new matrix. They are all floats. I can't seem to figure out the correct format for entering them. Any ideas ??

• Powershell equivilent of python's if __name__ == '__main__':

  I am really fond of python's capability to do things like this: if __name__ == '__main__': #setup testing code here #or setup a call a function with parameters and human format the output #etc... This is nice because I can treat a Python script file as something that can be called from the command line but it remains available for me to import its functions and classes into a separate python script file easily without triggering the default "run from the command line behavior". Does Powershell have a similar facility that I could exploit? And if it doesn't how should I be organizing my library of function files so that i can easily execute some of them while I am developing them?

  Sorry for being a total beginner in cocoa and for asking the following stupid question, but it's too confusing for me to google it myself or maybe i'm just missing something. I need to run a shellscript with elevated privileges in cocoa. As i understand, "AuthorizationExecuteWithPrivileges" is the correct way to do it. So i've created an application and tried to use some code from one example i found online. The problem is ... if i understand it correctly ... there should be a Security framework in /System/Library/Frameworks that i have to import to the project, but ... it's not there. • Hibernate deletion issue

  I'm trying to write a Java app that imports a data file. The process is as follows Create Transaction Delete all rows from datatable Load data file into datatable Commit OR Rollback if any errors were encountered. The data loaded in step 3 is mostly the same as the data deleted in step3. The deletion is performed using the following DetachedCriteria criteria = DetachedCriteria.forClass(myObject.class); List<myObject> myObjects = hibernateTemplate.findByCriteria(criteria); hibernateTemplate.deleteAll(myObjects); When I then load the datafile, i get the following exception nested exception is org.hibernate.NonUniqueObjectException: a different object with the same identifier value was already associated with the session: The whole process needs to take place in transaction. And I don't really want to have to compare the import file / data table and then perform an insert/update/delete to get them into sync. Any help would be appreciated.

• ASP.NET Long Process and Sending updates to Browser

  Hello, I've asked this before but I was hoping for another answer and perhaps some code samples because I've been having a difficult time with this. I have an asp.net page. The user hits the "Run" button and I have code IN AN ASSEMBLY, not in the APP_CODE folder that is called and runs a long process that moves product info from a file into the database. While the user waits, I would like them to see status updates like what product the import process in on and status info. I'm assuming I'd break off into another thread and use Ajax but I have no idea how to do this. Some code samples would be very helpful, thanks.

• Modular HTML in Adobe AIR? Is It Possible?

  When I write HTML with a PHP backend, I usually have a single header file and a single footer file with some PHP variables in them. The base skeleton for every page calls the header, contains the body content, and then calls the footer. That way, if I want to make changes to the header sitewide, I change one file. I'm working on developing the UI in my first Adobe AIR app and I'm wondering if there's some way to include such files in an HTML based page template there. Obviously, with the file read/write abilities in AIR, I can write a Javascript routine to pull data from a header file, parse it, and inject it into a placeholder. It just seems like such a kludge. I'm thinking there's gotta be some simple way to import a block of HTML into a page without an iFrame or complex post-processor. Something like a PHP include statement or perhaps the old Server Side Includes. Any methods you guys can recommend?

I am creating a wx.ComboBox and trying to mimic it's functionality for testing purposes by posting a wxEVT_COMMAND_COMBOBOX_SELECTED event... this event strangely works fine for wx.Choice, but it doesn't do anything to the ComboBox. There doesn't appear to be a different event that I can post to the combobox, but maybe I'm missing something. • Entity Framework model and foreign key property

  I have 2 tables that I import to EF model. First table has a property [section] that acts as foreign key to the second table. When I map this property in model to the table and try to compile I get this error: Problem in Mapping Fragments starting at lines 158, 174: Non-Primary-Key column(s) [Section] are being mapped in both fragments to different conceptual side properties - data inconsistency is possible because the corresponding conceptual side properties can be independently modified. If i remove this property from the model it passes, but when I query the data I don't have the section field. • Read random lines from huge CSV file in Python

  I have this quite big CSV file (15 Gb) and I need to read about 1 million random lines from it. As far as I can see - and implement - the CSV utility in Python only allows to iterate sequentially in the file. It's very memory consuming to read the all file into memory to use some random choosing and it's very time consuming to go trough all the file and discard some values and choose others, so, is there anyway to choose some random line from the CSV file and read only that line?
