• Regex expression with leading zero

  I'm rather new to regex expressions and need help with a simple expression. I'm using Pentaho for ETL (Replace in String transformation) and I have column values that I need to add leading zeros to and parse out text as part of the database import. So far I have been unable to add the leading zero. The column is called Region and the values are "region 8", "region 10", "region 11". My regex expression is ['Region'] which will eliminate the region text but produces results = "8", "10", "11". I need values to produce "08", "10", "11". So all the single digit numbers must have leading zeros.

  I have 3 xsd files: a.xsd b.xsd shared.xsd shared.xsd is imported to both a.xsd and b.xsd using <xs:import schemaLocation="shared.xsd"/> shared.xsd defines <xs:element name="item"> <xs:complexType> .... If I generate java code using xjc a.xsd and b.xsd is generated into different packages and in each package a separate java class is generated for item. How would it be possible to have a single shared class for item and make a and b use it?

• Read random lines from huge CSV file in Python

  I have this quite big CSV file (15 Gb) and I need to read about 1 million random lines from it. As far as I can see - and implement - the CSV utility in Python only allows to iterate sequentially in the file. It's very memory consuming to read the all file into memory to use some random choosing and it's very time consuming to go trough all the file and discard some values and choose others, so, is there anyway to choose some random line from the CSV file and read only that line?   Might be my question is abstract or out of context, but i am asking here since i have little idea how this happens. I am wondering how big application/ platform break down there application in to multiple module and how they able to manage modules dependencies. For example in some E-commerce application they tend to break down it in various modules like pricing,promotions,shipping.import/export and many more. when we develop those application we hardly think about the underlying modules and how they have been designed to provides functionalists. Most of those module are not web-applications but are standalone module and not deployed in the web-app as jar files. can any one help me to understand how they break up things or is there any standard way to do this.any help/resources to get insight will really be helpful

• Running Python code from Java program, shoudl i be doing this?

  i have a scenario where i draw a network and set all it's paraments on swing based gui, after that i have to translate this network into a python based script which another framework reads and realize this network in the form of virtual machines. Now for now in order to realize the drawn network on java GUI here is what i am doing: I simply take the information from GUI and creates a new python file like the one above using java code and then run this file in mininet, which works fine somehow. I want to know, is this the correct and robust way how i am doing this or should i be looking further into java-python bridge like scenarios to be more effective or so as to say more professional.

  I am attempting to add functionality to my Django app: when a new post is approved, I want to update the corresponding Facebook Page's status with a message and a link to the post automatically. Basic status update. I have downloaded and installed pyfacebook - and I have read through the tutorial from Facebook.   I realize that the method run must be declared because its declared in the runnable interface. But my question comes when this class runs how is the Thread object allowed if there is no import call to a particular package? how does runnable know anything about Thread or its methods? does the runnable interface extend the thread class?   I'm using Django Internationalization tools to translate some strings from my application. These tests make a request to the view and compare the returned contents. How can I disable the translations while running the unit tests?   Hi all, I have a public key and an encrypted string. I could encrypt with publickey successfully.But when i try to decrypt using the publickey it fails. I mean when i pass the publickey seckeyDecrypt it fails. I have Googled and found out that by default kSecAttrCanDecrypt is false for public keys.So When i import the public key, i have added this particular line , [publicKeyAttr setObject:(id)kCFBooleanTrue forKey:(id)kSecAttrCanDecrypt]; But there is no improvement it still fails. Please somebody help.

  i have searched for calendar libraries and i have found TimeSquare calender on this site https://github.com/square/android-times-square ive downloaded the file and add made an import for the folder in ecilipse and everithing worked fine then i have exported with gradle and imported in android studio and everything worked fine.THE problem is that i want to use this calender in an app i'm developping so i have added folder library as a module and synced with grade but when i define <com.squareup.timessquare.CalendarPickerView android:id="@+id/calendar_view" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="match_parent" /> just in xml and run the app it crashes on setcontentview and i cannot make anything in plus can somebody tell me how to use this library correctly.

  Our care management system uses a web service to import data. I've successfully executed one of its methods using soapUI, and now I want to replicate this with an SSIS 2008 web service task, but I'm running into a problem. I've created the "HTTP Connection Manager" successfully, and specified the location of the "WSDLFile", but when I go to the Input tab and select the Service from the dropdown (there is only one), I get an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error, and and the Method dropdown is empty. Any idea what this is trying to tell me?

  I am using the h5py python package to read files in HDF5 format. (e.g. somefile.h5) I would like to write the contents of a dataset to a text file. For example, I would like to create a text file with the following contents: 1,20,31,75,142,324,78,12,3,90,8,21,1 I am able to access the dataset in python using this code: import h5py f = h5py.File('/Users/Me/Desktop/thefile.h5', 'r') group = f['/level1/level2/level3'] dset = group['dsetname'] My naive approach is too slow, because my dataset has over 20000 entries: # write all values to file for index in range(len(dset)): # do not add comma after last value if index == len(dset)-1: txtfile.write(repr(dset[index])) else: txtfile.write(repr(dset[index])+',') txtfile.close() return None Is there a faster way to write this to a file?   I need fastest way to convert files from latin1 to utf-8 in python. The files are large ~ 2G. ( I am moving DB data ). So far I have import codecs infile = codecs.open(tmpfile, 'r', encoding='latin1') outfile = codecs.open(tmpfile1, 'w', encoding='utf-8') for line in infile: outfile.write(line) infile.close() outfile.close() but it is still slow. The conversion takes one fourth of the whole migration time. I could also use a linux command line utility if it is faster than native python code.

• Best way to correct garbled data caused by false encoding

  Hi all, I have a set of data that contains garbled text fields because of encoding errors during many import/exports from one database to another. Most of the errors were caused by converting UTF-8 to ISO-8859-1. Strangely enough, the errors are not consistent: the word 'München' appears as 'München' in some place and as 'MÃœnchen'. Is there a trick in SQL server to correct this kind of crap? The first thing that I can think of is to exploit the COLLATE clause, so that ü is interpreted as ü, but I don't exactly know how. If it isn't possible to make it in the DB level, do you know any tool that helps for a bulk correction? (no manual find/replace tool, but a tool that guesses the garbled text somehow and correct them)

• Higher speed options for executing very large (20 GB) .sql file in MySQL

  My firm was delivered a 20+ GB .sql file in reponse to a request for data from the gov't. I don't have many options for getting the data in a different format, so I need options for how to import it in a reasonable amount of time. I'm running it on a high end server (Win 2008 64bit, MySQL 5.1) using Navicat's batch execution tool. It's been running for 14 hours and shows no signs of being near completion. Does anyone know of any higher speed options for such a transaction? Or is this what I should expect given the large file size? Thanks
