• Django CMS error when running project

  I'd set up a site a while back using Django-CMS and it was working fine. However, after upgrading to the latest version of both Django and Django-CMS, it doesn't work anymore...when I try to run the development server, I get this message: "Signal recerivers must accept keyword arguments (**kwargs)." AssertionError: Signal receivers must accept keyword arguments (**kwargs). What could be the problem here? I've tried running the sample app that comes with the CMS and it works just fine.

• Searching for Records

  I've come up with a simple search view to search for records in my app. The user just enters all parameters in the search box then all this is matched against the database, then results are returned. One of these fields is the phone number....now in the database it's stored in the format XXX-XXX-XXX. • Pinax installation problem

  I'm trying to setup a Pinax demo to work on and I've tried it under both Windows and FreeBSD with no luck...in both OS's, the virtual environment is created without a hitch, but then the following happens: For Windows, I can start the virtal environment and clone one of the sample projects as my starting point....however, running: manage.py syncdb Gives this error:Error: Can't import Pinax. Make sure you're in a virtual environment that has Pinax installed... For FreeBSD, when I try to start the environment: Badly placed ()'s What could be the problem?

  I've managed to set up Django CMS for my website successfully...however, when editing a page in the admin, the trailing / isn't added automatically so my URL's look something like: http://localhost:8000/admin/cms/page/22 When I tried running the example project that comes bundled with the Django-CMS setup, this slash is added automatically....how can I have the same for my project?

  I want to create a list of records with checkboxes on the left side....kinda like the inbox in Gmail. Then if a user selects some or all of these checkboxes, then the selected record(s) can be updated (only one field will be updated BTW), possibly by clicking a button. • Tallying records using annotate() not working as should.

  I have two classes: Vehicle and Issues....a Vehicle object can have several issues recorded in the Issues class. What I want to do is to have a list of all issues, with each vehicle appearing only once and the total number of issues shown, plus other details....clicking on the record will then take the user to another page with all those issues for a selected vehicle shown in detail now.   I have a Customer class which has a representative field....this field is initially blank but when the user opens up the details page of the chosen customer, they'll be given the open of representing this customer by clicking on a link. The template layout I was thinking of is this: <strong>Representative: </strong> {% if customer.representative %} {{ customer.representative }} {% else %} <a href="{% url representCustomer customer.id %}">Represent this customer.</a> {% endif %} All that remains is the view to effect this...this is where I'm stuck.

• smartif tag not working out correctly

  I'm using the smartif tag from this snippet (I'm holding on with regards to upgrading to 1.2) in my template for a certain boolean field like so: {% if payment.extends_membership == "True" %} {% trans "Yes" %} {% else %} {% trans "No" %} {% endif %} But whatever the value of extends_membership I get only No as the output. What could be the problem?

  Hello, This problem has been occurring quite frequently recently and I can't seem to find a way of preventing it.
