• Android app crashes on emulator - logCat shows no errors

  I have just added the SherlockActionBar library to my android project. After some small changes (FragmentActivity - SherlockFragmentActivity, getActionBar() - getSupportActionBar(), imports) it all compiled nicely. After I run the app, however, the debugger stops, as though it had encountered an exception. However, there are no errors shown in the LogCat output. I just can't wrap my head around what's going on. • How to subscribe to the free Oracle Linux errata yum repositories

  Now that updates and errata for Oracle Linux are available for free (both as in beer and freedom), here's a quick HOWTO on how to subscribe your Oracle Linux system to the newly added yum repositories on our public yum server, assuming that you just installed Oracle Linux from scratch, e.g. by using the installation media (ISO images) available from the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud You need to download the appropriate yum repository configuration file from the public yum server and install it in the yum repository directory.   I have an array of countries that I will be using in a select menu: array( [0] => " -- Select -- " [1] => "Afghanistan" [3] => "Albania" [4] => "Algeria" [39] => "Canada" [47] => "USA" ) //etc... I want to copy create copies of the Canada and USA entries and place them at the front of my array. So the array should end up looking like this: array( [0] => " -- Select -- " [47] => "USA" [39] => "Canada" [1] => "Afghanistan" [3] => "Albania" [4] => "Algeria" [39] => "Canada" [47] => "USA" ) //etc... The array keys correspond to their ID in the database, so I can't change the keys. How can I achieve this?

• Why does iOS 5 fail to connect to a server running JDK 1.6, but not JDK 1.5

  We have a Java Socket Server listening on an SSLSocket (port 443) and an iOS application that connects with it. When running on iOS 5.1, the application stopped working when we upgraded the Java version of the server from JDK 1.5 to 1.6 (or 1.7). The app connects just fine to JDK 5 and 6 when running on iOS 6. The iOS app is reporting an error: -9809 = errSSLCrypto. On the Java side, we get javax.net.ssl.SSLException: Received fatal alert: close_notify. On the Java server side, we have enabled all the available cipher suites. On the client side we have tested enabling several different suites, although we have yet to complete a test involving each one individually enabled. Right now, it is failing when we use TLS_DH_anon_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA although it has failed with others and we are starting to think it's not the suite. Here is the debug output.   I have three fields namely Number1 Number2 Time I am trying to write a function in java that returns a unique hash value (long needs to be the return type of hash) for the above fields. This hash would then be used to store database rows corresponding to the above mentioned fields in a HashSet. I am new to writing a hash code function, can someone please review what I have.   i'm having some troubles compiling my work, i'm using ubuntu with g++! i get a lot of these messages: undefined reference to `boost::filesystem3::directory_entry::m_get_status(boost::system::error_code*) const' undefined reference to `boost::filesystem3::path::extension() const' undefined reference to `boost::filesystem3::path::filename() const' undefined reference to `boost::filesystem3::path::filename() const' (etc...) I've searched and found maaany answers but none of those work for me. After the install my computer would not boot at all, black screen without any visible hard drive activity (I gave it good 30 minutes on black screen, before took actions)... I poped in installation DVD and went in rescue mode to change back the boot option to old kernel (was just a guess where the problem was). After restart computer loaded just file, took a long time for it to start because of SELinux targeted policy relabel is required. Relabeling could take very long time depending on file size. I assumed that the update got messed up somehow and continued working with modified boot option. Couple of days ago, there was another kernel update. I installed it and same problem as before. This rules out corrupted update theory... Black screen right after 'BIOS' screen before OS gets loaded. I had to rescue system again... Below is copy of my grub.conf file.   Hi, I'm using a rather complex structure with multiple ssi-includes, set- and echo-commands. The first document writes a lot of set-commands, includes another document which then again includes a third document. On the last included document the variable values are printed using the echo-command. I noticed that with an increasing number of variables the probability for a segmentation fault to happen rises. • WMII Terminal Width of 80 Columns for xterm (colrules)

  I'm trying to get WMII to split horizontally at 80 columns for xterm, but I'm only seeing a way to do this via percentage. It would be nice to be able to set it by something other than percentage for various resolutions, but if I have to deal with that I will. The problem is that even percentages don't work at my resolution (1366x768). 47+47 in /colrules yields 79 characters and 48+48 yields 81 characters. As far as I can tell, there is no decimal system allowed so I could do 47.5 for instance. I came from Ion3 and I'm used to using 80 column terminals, resizable by the keyboard, to get a reasonable cut off point for VIM when I'm coding. I would just settle with using the mouse, but WMII seems to be much more fluid than Ion3, so I would have to do it a LOT, which sounds annoying. Any ideas?

• Stop sending packets to private IPs

• [CentOS 4.8] nslookup resolves domains to IPs, but I can't get a response to pings to external servers

  I have a fresh install of CentOS 4.8 running on an internal development server. I haven't done anything to it besides setting up sudoers and SSH. I can SSH into the server and from there resolve domains to IPs and ping internal servers, but for some reason I don't get any response from pinging external servers. The software firewall is disabled, and the problem is present with both static and DHCP-assigned network configurations.
