  I've seen many examples in LINQ but i'm not able to reproduce the same result in vb.net. In short, I am trying to make an asynchronous web service call from my VB.NET application. But my "client_DownloadDataCompleted" callback is NEVER being called when the download is complete. • modalpopupextender and commas appearing in my textbox asp.net

  Some weird stuff is happening, I am converting an application that used to use javascript to open another web page in a tiny window for data input to use a ModalPopupExtender. It seems to work fine, but in the OK event, when I do txtData.Text (the textbox in my modal popup), it comes back with a comma before the data, so if you type "Rabbit", it comes back as ",Rabbit". Also when I use it multiple times, in another place where I might click to show it, and type "Fish", it starts coming back with stuff like ",Rabbit,,Fish" I don't know why or how to stop it from doing this... any ideas?

  Hello I have a .NET DLL that writes to the Trace. But seems that when I call my DLL from a VB6 EXE the trace is not working. I have created an myApp.config file in the EXE folder with the trace configuration, but this does not solves the issue.   Hi, I am using ADO.NET (.NET 1.1) in a legacy app. I know that DataAdapter.Fill() opens and closes connections if the connection hasn't been opened manually before it's given to the DataAdapter. My question: Does it also close the connection if the .Fill() causes an Exception? (due to SQL Server cannot be reached, or whatever). Does it leak a connection or does it have a built-in Finally-clause to make sure the connection is being closed. Yet trying to set Start and End this way results in errors. Plus, entries created outlook have no start/end time in the recurrence pattern (well, they are all-day entries...) Ideas, anybody? Thanks!
