  • [Java] RSA BadPaddingException : data must start with zero

    - by Robin Monjo
    Hello everyone. I try to implement an RSA algorithm in a Java program. I am facing the "BadPaddingException : data must start with zero". Here are the methods used to encrypt and decrypt my data : public byte[] encrypt(byte[] input) throws Exception { Cipher cipher = Cipher.getInstance("RSA/ECB/PKCS1Padding");// cipher.init(Cipher.ENCRYPT_MODE, this.publicKey); return cipher.doFinal(input); } public byte[] decrypt(byte[] input) throws Exception { Cipher cipher = Cipher.getInstance("RSA/ECB/PKCS1Padding");/// cipher.init(Cipher.DECRYPT_MODE, this.privateKey); return cipher.doFinal(input); } privateKey and publicKey attributes are read from files this way : public PrivateKey readPrivKeyFromFile(String keyFileName) throws IOException { PrivateKey key = null; try { FileInputStream fin = new FileInputStream(keyFileName); ObjectInputStream ois = new ObjectInputStream(fin); BigInteger m = (BigInteger) ois.readObject(); BigInteger e = (BigInteger) ois.readObject(); RSAPrivateKeySpec keySpec = new RSAPrivateKeySpec(m, e); KeyFactory fact = KeyFactory.getInstance("RSA"); key = fact.generatePrivate(keySpec); ois.close(); } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } return key; } Private key and Public key are created this way : public void Initialize() throws Exception { KeyPairGenerator keygen = KeyPairGenerator.getInstance("RSA"); keygen.initialize(2048); keyPair = keygen.generateKeyPair(); KeyFactory fact = KeyFactory.getInstance("RSA"); RSAPublicKeySpec pub = fact.getKeySpec(keyPair.getPublic(), RSAPublicKeySpec.class); RSAPrivateKeySpec priv = fact.getKeySpec(keyPair.getPrivate(), RSAPrivateKeySpec.class); saveToFile("public.key", pub.getModulus(), pub.getPublicExponent()); saveToFile("private.key", priv.getModulus(), priv.getPrivateExponent()); } and then saved in files : public void saveToFile(String fileName, BigInteger mod, BigInteger exp) throws IOException { FileOutputStream f = new FileOutputStream(fileName); ObjectOutputStream oos = new ObjectOutputStream(f); oos.writeObject(mod); oos.writeObject(exp); oos.close(); } I can't figured out how the problem come from. Any help would be appreciate ! Thanks in advance.

  • SSIS package randomly hangs during execution

    - by Adam MacLeod
    Hi Guys, I am having an ongoing and painful problem with an SSIS package. The package runs every 5 minutes as an SQL Agent Job and every 2-10 days the package will start running and never stop (thus preventing further executions). If I stop the hung job manually it will begin working perfectly again in the next 5 minute interval. The SSIS package is for moving data from an Oracle database to a MSSQL 2005 database. It has 7 steps: Step 1 calls an Oracle Stored Procedure to prepare the temporary tables inside ORACLE Steps 2-6 process the data from the ORACLE tables to the MSSQL tables ORACLE - MSSQL Step 7 calls an Oracle Stored Procedure to clear the ORACLE temporary tables I suspect that the issue is caused by a communications error between the MSSQL server and the ORACLE server. Both the MSSQL database and Agent/package run on one machine with the ORACLE database running over the network. I have enabled logging of the SQL package and after more than 2GB of log file I have captured the instant where the package stops responding: OnPreValidate,ADV-SRV5,NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM,CallistaIntegrationToMonashCRM_delta,{F88F6C45-CFA2-4801-A2F2-DDF03D458A48},{3A1FB1E3-B76D-444D-876B-D1FBBB9BA246},6/06/2010 10:15:01 AM,6/06/2010 10:15:01 AM,0,0x,(null) OnPreValidate,ADV-SRV5,NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM,Address,{c5907799-f918-43da-818a-d4bd7f188367},{3A1FB1E3-B76D-444D-876B-D1FBBB9BA246},6/06/2010 10:15:01 AM,6/06/2010 10:15:01 AM,0,0x,(null) OnInformation,ADV-SRV5,NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM,Address,{c5907799-f918-43da-818a-d4bd7f188367},{3A1FB1E3-B76D-444D-876B-D1FBBB9BA246},6/06/2010 10:15:01 AM,6/06/2010 10:15:01 AM,1074016266,0x,Validation phase is beginning. These messages show the entire log generated for the failed run, for a successful run the output is typically ~2500 lines. I can see that the package is hanging during the initialize operation on the Callista connection (ORACLE database). I have not been able to work out a way to either fix this issue or have the package die gracefully (an error to the log would be A-OK with me). Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • Dynatree toDict()

    - by gnomixa
    In the http://wwwendt.de/tech/dynatree/index.html it says toDict() Convert the tree into a JavaScript object. See node.toDict() for details. Is there a way to initialize the tree from that object later? Thanks.

  • Using tslib (touchscreen input) with DirectFB on embedded system (gumstix overo)

    - by emi1faber
    I'm attempting to use tslib with DirectFB on the gumstix Overo. Everything seems to be compiled correctly, as when DirectFB starts up, I get messages saying "Started 'tslib Input' ... DirectFB/Input: tslib touchscreen 0 0.1 (tslib)" etc. However, I haven't been able to find any example code showing how one reads the X-Y coordinates of a touchscreen press. Is there any example code out there to initialize the touchscreen and return the coordinates of a touchscreen press? Thanks in advance, Ben

  • How to encrypt session id in cookie?

    - by terrani
    While I was reading about session hijacking articles, i learned that it would be nice to encrypt session id value that is stored in a cookie. As far as I know, when I start a session by calling session_start(), PHP does not encrypt session id value in a cookie. How do I encrypt session id value and then initialize session with it?

  • what does calling ´this´ outside of a jquery plugin refer to

    - by Richard
    Hi, I am using the liveTwitter plugin The problem is that I need to stop the plugin from hitting the Twitter api. According to the documentation I need to do this $("#tab1 .container_twitter_status").each(function(){ this.twitter.stop(); }); Already, the each does not make sense on an id and what does this refer to? Anyway, I get an undefined error. I will paste the plugin code and hope it makes sense to somebody MY only problem thusfar with this plugin is that I need to be able to stop it. thanks in advance, Richard /* * jQuery LiveTwitter 1.5.0 * - Live updating Twitter plugin for jQuery * * Copyright (c) 2009-2010 Inge Jørgensen (elektronaut.no) * Licensed under the MIT license (MIT-LICENSE.txt) * * $Date: 2010/05/30$ */ /* * Usage example: * $("#twitterSearch").liveTwitter('bacon', {limit: 10, rate: 15000}); */ (function($){ if(!$.fn.reverse){ $.fn.reverse = function() { return this.pushStack(this.get().reverse(), arguments); }; } $.fn.liveTwitter = function(query, options, callback){ var domNode = this; $(this).each(function(){ var settings = {}; // Handle changing of options if(this.twitter) { settings = jQuery.extend(this.twitter.settings, options); this.twitter.settings = settings; if(query) { this.twitter.query = query; } this.twitter.limit = settings.limit; this.twitter.mode = settings.mode; if(this.twitter.interval){ this.twitter.refresh(); } if(callback){ this.twitter.callback = callback; } // ..or create a new twitter object } else { // Extend settings with the defaults settings = jQuery.extend({ mode: 'search', // Mode, valid options are: 'search', 'user_timeline' rate: 15000, // Refresh rate in ms limit: 10, // Limit number of results refresh: true }, options); // Default setting for showAuthor if not provided if(typeof settings.showAuthor == "undefined"){ settings.showAuthor = (settings.mode == 'user_timeline') ? • Java Builder pattern with Generic type bounds

    - by I82Much
    Hi all, I'm attempting to create a class with many parameters, using a Builder pattern rather than telescoping constructors. I'm doing this in the way described by Joshua Bloch's Effective Java, having private constructor on the enclosing class, and a public static Builder class. The Builder class ensures the object is in a consistent state before calling build(), at which point it delegates the construction of the enclosing object to the private constructor. Thus public class Foo { // Many variables private Foo(Builder b) { // Use all of b's variables to initialize self } public static final class Builder { public Builder(/* required variables */) { } public Builder var1(Var var) { // set it return this; } public Foo build() { return new Foo(this); } } } I then want to add type bounds to some of the variables, and thus need to parametrize the class definition. I want the bounds of the Foo class to be the same as that of the Builder class. public class Foo<Q extends Quantity> { private final Unit<Q> units; // Many variables private Foo(Builder<Q> b) { // Use all of b's variables to initialize self } public static final class Builder<Q extends Quantity> { private Unit<Q> units; public Builder(/* required variables */) { } public Builder units(Unit<Q> units) { this.units = units; return this; } public Foo build() { return new Foo<Q>(this); } } } This compiles fine, but the compiler is allowing me to do things I feel should be compiler errors. E.g. public static final Foo.Builder<Acceleration> x_Body_AccelField = new Foo.Builder<Acceleration>() .units(SI.METER) .build(); Here the units argument is not Unit<Acceleration> but Unit<Length>, but it is still accepted by the compiler. What am I doing wrong here? I want to ensure at compile time that the unit types match up correctly.

  • TVirtualStringTree - resetting non-visual nodes and memory consumption

    - by Remy Lebeau - TeamB
    I have an app that loads records from a binary log file and displays them in a virtual TListView. There are potentially millions of records in a file, and the display can be filtered by the user, so I do not load all of the records in memory at one time, and the ListView item indexes are not a 1-to-1 relation with the file record offsets (List item 1 may be file record 100, for instance). I use the ListView's OnDataHint event to load records for just the items the ListView is actually interested in. As the user scrolls around, the range specified by OnDataHint changes, allowing me to free records that are not in the new range, and allocate new records as needed. This works fine, speed is tolerable, and the memory footprint is very low. I am currently evaluating TVirtualStringTree as a replacement for the TListView, mainly because I want to add the ability to expand/collapse records that span multiple lines (I can fudge it with the TListView by incrementing/decrementing the item count dynamically, but this is not as straight forward as using a real tree). For the most part, I have been able to port the TListView logic and have everything work as I need. I notice that TVirtualStringTree's virtual paradigm is vastly different, though. It does not have the same kind of OnDataHint functionality that TListView does (I can use the OnScroll event to fake it, which allows my memory buffer logic to continue working), and I can use the OnInitializeNode event to associate nodes with records that are allocated. However, once a tree node is initialized, it sees that it remains initialized for the lifetime of the tree. That is not good for me. As the user scrolls around and I remove records from memory, I need to reset those non-visual nodes without removing them from the tree completely, or losing their expand/collapse states. When the user scrolls them back into view, I can re-allocate the records and re-initialize the nodes. Basically, I want to make TVirtualStringTree act as much like TListView as possible, as far as its virtualization is concerned. I have seen that TVirtualStringTree has a ResetNode() method, but I encounter various errors whenever I try to use it. I must be using it wrong. I also thought of just storing a data pointer inside each node to my record buffers, and I allocate and free memory, update those pointers accordingly. The end effect does not work so well, either. Worse, my largest test log file has ~5 million records in it. If I initialize the TVirtualStringTree with that many nodes at one time (when the log display is unfiltered), the tree's internal overhead for its nodes takes up a whopping 260MB of memory (without any records being allocated yet). Whereas with the TListView, loading the same log file and all the memory logic behind it, I can get away with using just a few MBs. Any ideas?

  • Access Rails 3 Session from Rack?

    I was able to do the following in Rails 2.3.5 to access attributes that I set on the session from within my Rails app. Now in Rails 3, env["rack.session"] is nil. How do I do the same thing in Rails 3? class CallbackFilter def initialize(app) @app = app end def call(env) unless env["rack.session"][:oauth_callback_method].blank? env["REQUEST_METHOD"] = env["rack.session"].delete(:oauth_callback_method).to_s.upcase end @app.call(env) end end

  • Silverlight P2P App (In Browser) - Will we get RTMFP?

    - by Paul
    Ok so from all my research I'm fairly positive P2P is not possible in Silverlight 4 (in browser). Flash can do P2P using Stratus/RTMFP which I believe uses UDP hole punching and a Stratus server to help initialize the connection. Is there any plans for Microsoft to add some kind of p2p rendezvous service in the future? Can we get a definitive yes/no on whether or not p2p is possible in SL4.

  • Google maps API - info window height and panning

    - by Tim Fountain
    I'm using the Google maps API (v2) to display a country overlay over a world map. The data comes from a KML file, which contains coords for the polygons along with a HTML description for each country. This description is displayed in the 'info window' speech bubble when that country is clicked on. I had some trouble initially as the info windows were not expanding to the size of the HTML content they contained, so the longer ones would spill over the edges (this seems to be a common problem). I was able to work around this by resetting the info window to a specific height as follows: GEvent.addListener(map, "infowindowopen", function(iw) { iw = map.getInfoWindow(); iw.reset(iw.getPoint(), iw.getTabs(), new GSize(300, 295), null, null); }); Not ideal, but it works. However now, when the info windows are opened the top part of them is sometimes obscured by the edges of the map, as the map does not pan to a position where all of the content can be viewed. So my questions: Is there any way to get the info windows to automatically use a height appropriate to their content, to avoid having to fix to a set pixel height? If fixing the height is the only option, is there any way to get the map to pan to a more appropriate position when the info windows open? I know that the map class has a panTo() method, but I can't see a way to calculate what the correct coords would be. Here's my full init code: google.load("maps", "2.x"); // Call this function when the page has been loaded function initialize() { var map = new google.maps.Map2(document.getElementById("map"), {backgroundColor:'#99b3cc'}); map.addControl(new GSmallZoomControl()); map.setCenter(new google.maps.LatLng(29.01377076013671, -2.7866649627685547), 2); gae_countries = new GGeoXml("http://example.com/countries.kmz"); map.addOverlay(gae_countries); GEvent.addListener(map, "infowindowopen", function(iw) { iw = map.getInfoWindow(); iw.reset(iw.getPoint(), iw.getTabs(), new GSize(300, 295), null, null); }); } google.setOnLoadCallback(initialize);

  • BitSet to and from integer/long

    - by ataylor
    If I have an integer that I'd like to perform bit manipulation on, how can I load it into a java.util.BitSet? How can I convert it back to an int or long? I'm not so concerned about the size of the BitSet -- it will always be 32 or 64 bits long. I'd just like to use the set(), clear(), nextSetBit(), and nextClearBit() methods rather than bitwise operators, but I can't find an easy way to initialize a bit set with a numeric type.

  • Mouse scroll not working in a scroll viewer with a wpf datagrid and additional UI elements

    - by paladugu457
    I am trying to figure out how to get the mouse scroll working on a wpf window with a scrollviewer and a datagrid within it. The WPF and C# code is below <ScrollViewer HorizontalScrollBarVisibility="Disabled" VerticalScrollBarVisibility="Auto"> <Grid> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition/> <RowDefinition/> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <Grid Grid.Row="0"> <Border Name="DataGridBorder" BorderThickness="2" Margin="1" CornerRadius="4" BorderBrush="#FF080757"> <dg:DataGrid AutoGenerateColumns="False" Name="ValuesDataGrid" BorderThickness="0" CanUserResizeColumns="True" FontWeight="Bold" HorizontalScrollBarVisibility="Auto" CanUserReorderColumns="False" IsReadOnly="True" IsTextSearchEnabled="True" AlternationCount="2" SelectionMode="Extended" GridLinesVisibility="All" HeadersVisibility="Column" CanUserAddRows="False" CanUserDeleteRows="False" CanUserResizeRows="False" CanUserSortColumns="False" RowDetailsVisibilityMode="Collapsed" SelectedIndex="0" RowStyle="{StaticResource CognitiDataGridRowStyle}" > <dg:DataGrid.Columns> <dg:DataGridTemplateColumn Header="Title" > <dg:DataGridTemplateColumn.CellTemplate> <DataTemplate> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal" > <TextBlock HorizontalAlignment="Left" VerticalAlignment="Center" Text="{Binding Path=Name}" FontWeight="Normal" /> </StackPanel> </DataTemplate> </dg:DataGridTemplateColumn.CellTemplate> </dg:DataGridTemplateColumn> </dg:DataGrid.Columns> </dg:DataGrid> </Border> </Grid> <Button Grid.Row="1" Height="90" >hello world</Button> </Grid> </ScrollViewer> and the C# code is as follows public partial class Window1 : Window { public Window1() { InitializeComponent(); initialize(); } public void initialize() { ObservableCollection<MyObject> testList = new ObservableCollection<MyObject>(); for (int i = 0; i < 20; i++) { MyObject my = new MyObject("jack " + i); testList.Add(my); } ValuesDataGrid.ItemsSource = testList; } } public class MyObject { public string Name { get; set; } public MyObject(string name) { Name = name; } } The problem i am facing is that when using the mouse to scroll, it works fine when it is over the button but as soon as i move the mouse pointer over the grid and try to scroll, nothing happens. I am able to move the scrollbar of the scrollviewer directly though. I am still a wpf novice so any help on how to get the mouse scroll to work over the datagrid would be appreciated. I am guessing there should be a pretty easy solution for this but I havent been able to figure it out

  • Getting 256 colors out of ruby-ncurses

    - by push.cx
    I've got 256 colors working great in my terminal (test scripts here), but it stops working when I use ncurses (via Ruby-ncurses). Printing the escape sequences given on that page works fine, but when I initialize ncurses 'puts' stops working and I can't output the colors with any of the various ncurses color changing/string output functions I've found. What gives?
